    *By functional I mean you can comfortably swing or carry it **bestgym.equipment** around as one would expect of a kettlebell weight. By versatile I mean the protective coating does not prevent attaching magnetic micro-plates to increase the weight, so, for example, a 35 pound kettlebell can be increased by up to 5 pounds in weight or possibly a bit more by attaching magnetic micro-plates.*

    What is a good kettlebell starting weight for a woman who has been neglecting her fitness and nutrition for a decade, started strength training about 2.5 months ago because she’s tired of being 20lbs overweight and out of shape, and is using 6-20lb weights depending on the exercise she’s doing? I’m just starting to use a 20lb dumbbell for one arm rows. Everything else I’m using 6 or 10lb dumbbells. I know that’s not super heavy, especially to men, but for me it’s pretty good considering I started at 2lb dumbbells. I’m already seeing progress with how much weight I use and how many reps I can do since I first started. It’s really amazing to feel my body change with hard work!!
    I looked into using a kettlebell because I heard it was a great exercise for glutes and I’m reading “Strong Curves” for women by Bret Contreras. I don’t know if I’m going to follow his program or try to find a local personal trainer or what, but I know you won’t really progress without a good program.

    On the app or the 8 wk course are these workouts in real time, meaning we can follow along the whole time?

    • @EricLeija
      @EricLeija  4 года назад +1

      The 8 week course is broken up into instructional and demonstration videos and is not a real time follow along. A lot of exercises are rep based and everyone does it at a different pace thats why its setup like that. On the app there are some full real time follow along workouts.

    I brought kettlebells months ago and used them “occasionally”. Now I do this flow for 10 min before every single workout (sometimes super light sometimes heavy). You’re the best instructor I’ve come across.
