to be honest this is more exciting to watch cause now that u control everything it means all the failures and success will depend on your skill, and all your growth will be kinda real because now it means you're actually good at the game because you did every thing your self
The day finally came when Tmartn finally realized that Real Formula one drivers are born not made. I can't imagine their level, but I know as a fact I won't ever be good enough to beat them.
Great stuff with manual pretty sure there’s an assist where the game will beep when it’s the optimal time to upshift. It may seem complicated at first with the manual gears but it doesn’t take long to pick up. It sort of clicks and then you don’t even think about it
Personally, I think it'd be very engaging to watch you learn manual through the races. I think it should stay. As for the camera, you could alternate, or even use both.
Does anyone else feel that Trevor has the PERFECT BALANCE of skill and not thinking? I feel what really makes him fun 2 watch is the fact that he’s good, but still makes hilarious mistakes which makes him fun 2 watch, because we all know we’ve done it!
The damage was coming from the Apex on some of the corners, specifically the one of before the start/finish straight. They part is really tough on the car if you cut it too much
You actually did really good, like Casper said it's an honor to be an F1 driver and why the spots are so limited because it is so involved and difficult, so great job keep up the good work.
Trev, when I started I didn’t think I was ready as well, so I went back. After 2 races I turned them back off and I started driving better than ever. This was years ago, and now I am more confident and faster than ever
Hey Trevor i think it would be easier for you to bind DRS on the left hand side of the wheel that way ur right hand can upshift while ur left can manage the DRS
Like I say, I appreciate that you're honest with us, Trev. The 'being a RUclipsr' aspect usually doesn't get addressed by the few others I watch. The audience isn't left to wonder why you do things the way you do.
I'd rather see you progress than see your team progress, that's what every RUclipsr does. Start in a slow car, work your way up, etc. I don't mind a while where you're struggling to get to grips with the gears and stuff, it's unique and it's real. Every one of us who plays this game had to go through that at some point. Eventually you'll be so much faster with manual shifts (and without a lot of the other assists too) that you're going to think "why didn't I do this sooner?". It is worth it in the end! Pro tip: don't worry too much about the gear you "should be in" according to the game and definitely don't memorize the tracks, you should feel what gear you need, just like in real life driving. The engine sounds and the lights on the dash are your best indicators for gearshifting untill you just know when to shift. About the wheel cam: I like it, but I also like the face cam. Is it an option to do both? Don't know if you have the equipment for that, but that could be fun as well.
great vid trev, really liked it, although the voiceover thing is not fun, it really helps concentrating, most of the f1 youtubers i watch do it, and it helps with concentrating and focus, and you wont need to talk while driving making you less focused. maybe you should try it on an episode and see if the fans like it.
I'mma be honest I think you did a fantastic job, most of us aren't incredible F1 players or anything, just watching for fun. The race was entertaining and you raced pretty decently for what I expected and you were pretty close to actually finishing the race.
Very good race man, it took me a while to learn manual gears so don't beat yourself up. Keep practicing the manual gears, you'll have it down in no time. It's the confidence that we as sim racers must have and it's very tough. Keep going bro, God bless you man, you got this.
Hey trev ik you are new to shifting gears manually but when you get used to it try to downshift faster (like you did at 11:49) cuz that engine braking can come real useful . Loving the series btw
It is what it is man don’t worry about being so technical in F1 when you’re producing different content it’s all about having fun and creating great videos just do you man
This was so cool to watch. I know it was a lot harder for you but I feel like it's more exciting to see you drive like they actually would in the real cars. Maybe switch off and on from Automatic on different episodes so you can get a rest and then for the manual episodes you wouldn't need to commentate as much to make it easier to focus on everything.
Just be u Trevor I don’t won’t the wheel cam to be a everyday thing but I like it. Also turning off all assist was fun and entertaining even though I don’t like see u lose. But hey it is what it is
I just started using manual with suggested gear too! it took me like 3 practices and a race but I've gotten a whole lot more comfortable and faster. Loving the series bro keep it up
Love your videos and they make me feel happier any time I see them, keep up the good work man and good luck with every thing you'll do (p.s. love the Trev & Chels vlogs)
Hey Trev! Loved the wheel cam. Would there be a way that the camera alternates from wheel then back to you? So we get both ever few minutes? Just a suggestion! Love the series. Keep up the good work.
Shifting is mostly just listening so talking will make it harder but you can just look at the lights on the wheel for help. I also recommend don’t shift as it’s bouncing off the limiter, shift just before or just as it hits the final light. It will take some time to get good with it but it’ll feel weird when you go back to auto. Keep up the good work
Lmao just gonna try something new with the camera focusing on this wheel that was given to me and obviously isn't sponsored in anyway. Tickled me! Love the content though Trev ❤️
Trev, does your set up have pressure pedals? I’m using a cheap set up (T-150 wheel w/T-300 pedals) but they are factory and don’t have any pressure behind them when you press them. I’ve tried to run without traction control but no matter what I do the car gets too much pedal and I just spin out. Am I doing something wrong or do I need to upgrade? And no I’m NOT going to the floor with the pedals either and I can be in 4th gear and totally spin out. So I’m having to run ABS and TC on for now🤷🏻♂️ I plan on upgrading to the wheel like you have with pressure backed pedals too
Hey Trev, what you could do is that in FP1 do few laps in automatic so that you get an idea of what gears to be in the various corners and then you can practice those to see what you find comfortable.
I like this trev, also you get better, I always watch your streams almost every game you play. Even super Cooper sunday. You are one of the best in my opinion. Greet and lots of strength from the netherlands. Keep it up🇱🇺👌🏻🥳🥳
If you’re using suggested gear you don’t HAVE to go to that exact gear. Like some corners are taken better in higher gears, especially if you plan on turning off traction control it reduces wheel spin and helps with stability
I know you don't play F1 a whole heap but you're 100% right, I race F1, but I've played it for the past 10 years and it'll take a lot of grinding for you or anyone to get to that stage, if you don't play it often. So stick with what you know so Cooper Motors can succeed. It was still an enjoyment seeing you try something different though.
If your having trouble with the traction out of the corners, I suggest short shifting, it helps a lot with traction out of the slow corners, and also trev, maybe you could do some online races with fans or something
When you downshift you want to go fast fast slow slow, if you are down shifting 4 gears. The last gear you shift should be just before you hit the apex. The slower you are able to the downshift the more engine breaking you will do, this to avoid overheating your brakes. It will also save your tiers.
Don’t know if you noticed Trev, but to the left of the gear number icon onscreen, there’s a little red dumber that tells you what gear you should be at when going into each corner
Trev, jus a tip u can consider, when u do wheel cam eps, consider putting ur face cam above ur wheel cam, or somewhere on the vid. & resize those 2 to make it take abit lesser of the vid screen.
Every racing games I play, I have to have the settings on manual or manual with clutch. And then I play on controller so I just map the buttons to what’s good for me.
I've never clicked faster when I seen turning off all assists

SAMMMME!!
I hope he keeps doing manual and eventually turns off tc
I was so hoping he'd turn of ABS as well. Steering while breaking just isn't F1
lol
Who here loves this gamer dude
Me
He is ok but it really annoys me when he gets stuff about F1 wrong
um his name is trevor
@buddy parker oh I know
🙋🙋
This episode was so nerve racking. I think the fact that you were trying your heart out makes the episode a lot better
“U CAN’T GET AROUND ME!!!” (Gasly proceeds to pass him)
I actually really like the wheelcam, and those shifting sounds are satisfying
fr
I’d love a combo of face came and wheel cam I think that would be best
He’d have to make them both very Small so it doesn’t take up half the screen
Prefer the face cam but the wheel is cool for an episode or two
I like the wheel more
What if we had both
@@FormulaEsportsBroadcastingNet it’d be hard to have both and have it look not weird
@@zainhafeez631 maybe have a POV style with a GoPro and have the wheel cam at the bottom would work.
@@kennethsev7243 yes you could have both
Even when he turned off all assists he’s still better then mazepin
Hey Trevor hope you’re doing well today!! Really enjoyed the Wheel Cam!!
you can turn on an option that makes a sound when you need to upshift
Trev: oooh q1 is gonna turn wet
Also Trev: let’s wait for the track to get wet then set a fast lap
This is gonna be interesting. Good luck Trevor 😭
to be honest this is more exciting to watch cause now that u control everything it means all the failures and success will depend on your skill, and all your growth will be kinda real because now it means you're actually good at the game because you did every thing your self
You’ve gotten me thoroughly addicted to F1 Trevor
FINALLY NEW CAREER MODE VIDEO! Just me who looked forward for this??
The day finally came when Tmartn finally realized that Real Formula one drivers are born not made. I can't imagine their level, but I know as a fact I won't ever be good enough to beat them.
Love how Trevor started this race so calmly and midway just went full dirty mode like if I'm not winning then nobody is winning too lol
Great stuff with manual pretty sure there’s an assist where the game will beep when it’s the optimal time to upshift. It may seem complicated at first with the manual gears but it doesn’t take long to pick up. It sort of clicks and then you don’t even think about it

Conspiracy:Trevor wasn't the one driving it was somebody else with voice provided after recording
manual gearing can make you faster. Being able to short shift for traction on exits is good too.
I was impressed with the manual shifting. Did well for first time Trev. Liked the wheel cam for an occasional video. That wheel is awesome!!!
Hey Trev. It’s hard but be honest it’s so rewarding. Seeing you struggle but never give up is so much more fun than to see you just drive
I love how Trev counted his shift downs from 8 to 4. 1,2,3,4 keep it up Trev.

Love to see how far you have come. I remember your first episode!
Next Jarno Opmeer???? 👀😂 we have faith in you Trevor!!
what trevor is saying at the end about wrecking people is about what i do on a daily basis lmao
Eventually you'll learn to shift by ear, I don't even look at my RPM. Keep it up! You'll get it!
Don't give up Trev! It takes some time to get used to especially with a wheel but you'll get it👍
Love the new wheel btw😍😍
You're a real one if you have stuck around since he broke his tooth 🤣
Maybe a tip you might like,
Try upshifting a little bit earlier in the bit slower corners. Might help. Other then that i love the series. Keep it up!

“Putting down a time is better than not putting down a time”

“so we’re out in Q2”
that corner at turn 2 is so difficult on intermediate tires
Love it. Haven't seen you use your rich fuel mix this year series tho
THIS IS WHAT WE WANTED ALL ALONG YES
Give it a few and you’ll get used to manual. When coming out of slow corners, upshift early to avoid wheel spin on exit

Trevor turned from max verstappen in the beginning to Mazepin in the end. Anyways, i loved the gameplay trev 🔥❤️ keep going.
Thanks for the series returning.
What happened to Road to the Show? I really miss seeing those episodes every day.
Great vid ! Love wheel cam. Gonna save 350 for when that wheel is available
Hey Trev, what you could do is that in FP1 do few laps in automatic so that you get an idea of what gears to be in the various corners and then you can practice those to see what you find comfortable.
This was awesome! Great driving! Casper would be proud!!!
Use the upshift tone in the settings. That helped alot when i had got a wheel.

I love the "win or die" mentality......LETS GO!!!!!
Trev, jus a tip u can consider, when u do wheel cam eps, consider putting ur face cam above ur wheel cam, or somewhere on the vid. & resize those 2 to make it take abit lesser of the vid screen.
