Played by: KAGE-008
Platformer developed by Shiny Entertainment, which was later ported to a handful of platforms, including the Game Boy Advance. The SNES version lacks of Intestinal Distress level due to cartridge space limitations, while the handheld versions were heavily cut down.
Here you control Jim, who has to save the princess from her evil sister. Yeah, that's the whole plot since it's pretty simple in terms of gameplay, though I have to admit the level designs were impressive for its time.
Played on Difficult. No matter which difficulty setting you choose, you get the same ending, unlike in the Sega CD version where output is different depending on the difficulty. I also show off a hilarious way of completing For Pete's Sake at the end of the video.

Oh gosh I remember how BIG Earthworm Jim was when it came out. Thanks for the memories.
This game is an absolute fever dream, I had to watch this just to be sure what I experienced as a kid was actually real
I love the SNES version of this and 2 absolute classics
Me too
Huge props to KAGE-008 for showing all possible paths in each level.
Our worm hero needs to return
If wasn’t for the disastrous Earthworm Jim 3d our hero could’ve made a return. That one game alone killed this legend
Same for Pulseman and Ristar.
@@Baptisteog18 oh, that awkward era of the early transition to 3d.
The bonus "trick" at the end is pretty funny.
This game is really difficult, so much that the remastered version decades later added a "Normal" mode.
I would be more happy if all games were ss hard back then, much more joy once finishing it and much more time to play it(remember consoles and games were super expensive that times)
Same, really hard. I only reach 2nd level but i didn't own this game, i had to rent it back in the day and i had it only for 2 days, 3 if i rented it on friday.
I forgot just how much there is to this level. Once I found the toilet warp I took that every time. There’s a lot in between the warp and where it, ahem, *dumps* you out.
Did anyone else delay launching the cow to hear the funny "moo" sound effect?
Am I the only one that remembers this?!!?
Oh thank you for the upload. I think i had the pc version for the game but never finished due to game breaking bug
Love this game I remember watching the cartoon also
The graphics and sound effects remind me so much of Aladdin...
Same developers, using the same idea of drawing the game on paper first, then converting the drawings to the game.
Such as designer/programmer David Perry, programmer Andy Astor, level designer Tom Tanaka and artists Clark Sorensen, Lin Shen, Ed Schofield, Mike Dietz, Nick Bruty and Steve Crow. Mark Miller of Nu Romantic Productions (based in San Francisco, California) did the score.
Hell level used to scare me as a kid 😂 I remember playing the crap out of this game though
PLASMAH!!
I know which evil Pokémon organization Jim roots for…
I got this on my SNES mini..couldn't quite get the hang of it...and besides on Sega's machines it is the Sega CD version that is the definitive one
Love the soundtrack of the first one
I always beat this game in difficult mode so many times
Good gameplay
Remind Mii to NEVER piss off Peter…

Best Classic game 10/10
Not played this for ages I could never get passed the under sea level
Hated the freaking submarine in the down the tubes level
How did you know the last boss will die in one hit if you whip hit.
music and sound very good 👍 good 👍
Do it the same, but only the levels that are present in the Game Boy/Game Gear versions. (New Junk City, What The Heck, Down The Tubes, Snot A Problem, For Pete's Sake, Buttville)
Awesomeness game please do more sega games please thanks 👍👍👍👍👍
The cow 🐄
Watching this has truly made me appreciate how so much better the SNES was in sound, music, and graphics. The dithered background on level 1 just hurt my eyes.
Apparently the Genesis version is better?
@@yuvraj01 Well, that is up to who you ask. I tend to see the SNES version better. But, as the saying goes, Art is in the eye of the beholder.
i like the brighter audio and extended screen space in this version, but it definitely does feel like the nintendo version is how the game was meant to be played
I never got past hell. Frustrating
