Awesome job. I found a 600 zebco about 50 years ago and rebuilt it and it still works. I gave it to my daughter last year. I would love to have that real as I really want to learn to use an open reel.
Now that is what I like to hear! A reel most people would probably overlook, brought back to life and sent out to continue making memories! Warms my heart.

Walmart had this exact combo on clearance for $41 online. I bought one. Should have bought more. They aren’t “top tier” by any means but they are much better than many other options.

I caught a ugly stick rod and reel baitcaster it was in the lake for so long the bugs ate the cork and the reel was bad rust so
