@brucered MH and M I believe are both rated from 8 to 14 but I will check. Though being a 3 piece it is stiffer than a traditional rod so I'd feel fine fishing 8-14 with either

@walden6272 life lol. With a kids and a full time job I found that I had less and less time for fishing. When I only have a couple hours and 20 minutes loading and another 20 unloading cuts that timd by 40%, I found bank beating to be a simpler way to get more fishing time. Loved the kayak itself but time constraints made the decision for me.

@justinmishler I do not. My Hammar still worked fine when I gave it away, but ai preferred my Daiwa Tatualas. For the promo price they are great reels though

I would use bolts, flat washers and nylon lock nuts when mounting something that is going to be under that much tension. I would not trust rivets to just pull out.

This Elite had bad bearings from the factory I'm afraid. None of my other Tatulas have ever sounded like that.

Just to add some input..I used those exact rivets on my trolling motor transom. They have been on there 4yrs now and still rock solid. A transom mount gets a lot of pressure from holding the motor, banging into rocks, and multiple hits to the garage door when I run into it car tipping 😂 ROCK SOLID

I usually use 15lbs fluorocarbon on single hook baits and 12lbs flurocarbon on treble hook baits. But I've never been much of a line snob. I don't break off frequently. I appreciate you watching Skye! God bless you and yours!

It was definitely the catch of the day. Last time I went catfishing I caught a bass, and this time I went bass fishing and caught a catfish🤣

I've caught them on little swimbaits, crappie jigs and rooster tails but never a jig. This was a heck of an experience. I thought for a bit I'd caught the bass of a lifetime.

Yeah, we should go catfishing so we may actually catch a decent bass🤣

Hey, on the strength of your recommendation, I just drilled 10 holes in my kayak….to mount a gear track! I love it! This was the best way! Rock solid installation. Looks good. I 100% agree. I feel at a certain point you're definitely getting deminishing returns. It's an extemely nice rod but certainly not necessary

If I hadn't gotten the rod for a lot less than new, I'd of never gotten it. But I've heard great things and wanted to try it. And it is great. Just a little too rich for my blood at new, lol.
