Parker wasn't going to kill the family originally because he wanted to be with them, but when Josh's body started deteriorating, his mom convinced him that killing the family would stop it.
Was I THE only person who burst out laughing when I first saw the "DON'T YOU DAAAARE!" thing in the movie? Clearly seeing the ghost, coupled with that delivery, makes me lose it every time.
Same. And I'm usually a very easily scared person who jumps at even cheap jumpscares, that, especially the bitch slap, made me laugh, so you can tell how bad this movie is with its scares.
Despite all this, I still love these movies, even though now I feel slightly stupid for it. That's what CinemaSins does best: Makes me feel stupid for liking the movies I do.
When Elise talks about the further in the first insidious she clearly says that the further has no concept of time. So I don't why people are confused they're 'time traveling'.

Okay guys would you rather: a) spend 10 hours arguing about a map in the Blair woods or b) spend 10 hours trying to talk to insidious spirits with dice? In other words, choose which death by boredom/insanity you'd prefer.
12:58: "It's been so long since I felt real pain. I miss it, but not as much as I miss inflicting it on others." The real sin is that someone got paid a lot of money to write that line.
Oh, and since summer's around the corner, they should start doing movies dealing with the water like the Jaws movies...........or the Piranha movies......................................or if they're going that far, the Sharknado movies.
HoopsAndDinoMan i wonder why this hasnt reached a bazillion clicks already^^ ...i have to revisit this and click till my fingers bleed!!!^^ who s with me??? ^^
This series thrives so much on jumpscares it's almost funny. Sure some scenes are creepy but half the tension is cheaply made then cashed in on with a loud musical cue. Either that or it's an "innocent/happy child's toy/song turned into creepy song because villains sing/use it" type deal
This isn't even horror. It's jumpscare after jumpscare after jumpscare over and over again. People just can't fucking make decent horror films anymore.
I love that the cinema sins don’t crap on good films that would be easy instead you guys go for the subtle things missed making these RUclips videos feel like they should be on the DVD extras
Ya know, seeing the toys randomly play in this movie reminded me of this old cheerleader doll my sister had that would do the same. Even after we took the batteries out, it still played (conveniently at night.) We threw it in a back room but it still mysteriously made its way back. My dad said the doll was haunted by demons and was messing with us cause we were 'bad kids'.
My guess is either your dad or someone else in your family was putting the batteries back in it at bedtime and letting it play at night just to mess with you.. or it really was possessed 😳😂
One actually cool detail is at 3:51. You can see the woman to the right sitting on a chair, but as the camera moves forward, she disappears when you get another look at the same chair. This movie would have been a lot better if it used things like this more frequently instead of cramming in jumpscares and loud noises. It would make the audience actually pay more attention to the scenes and look closer which could add multiple layers to the scares as opposed to "Volume! Faces popping out! Spooky!"
I don't remember but I think she had all of this obscure knowledge about the human body that she of course learned in school like about her splinter will be pushed out automatically by her body.
Boo Galoo they really are, but a good portion of the logic in the film makes no sense, like the scene where the son wants to join the military in the middle of a fire fight and he shows up later in the film unscathed even though just about everyone dies and the film just glosses over it
marylandlax3 Just the fact that the son walks up to the military and is like "Hey can i join, I want to help!" and the military just let's him even though they barely have anybody else, it still makes no sense. He also has no experience with a weapon of any kind and he still survived. Why is this glossed over? Why isn't there at least one line of optional bull where they said the other men died to keep him alive because he did something worthy of their trust? You know like that other non-logical scene where the daughter grabs a hold of the father's hand and everyone else in the sac-pouch-thingy joins in.
Dom2K Because it's going back to before all of the event's in the first Insidious happened, I think. That's just what I remember, or I could be talking mumbo jumbo.
One thing I hate about watching CinemaSins horror movies... yes jeremy’s voice is comforting but also THE JUMP SCARES STILL THROW ME OFF I WASNT READY BRO GIMME SOME DAMN WARNING
anyone else noticed that at 3:51 there is a girl in a white dress sitting in a chair in the room at the right side of the camera and when you have the next view in the room the girl is gone? no sin for that? or is it actually a pretty ok thing...
I believe its called the Rixhm Effect. Concluding to my search, one said it meant nothing and was a inside joke used by a small group of people. Causing a range of people wanting to know what the word meant, and spreading curiosity; The Rixhm Effect.
Starfall Studios i just guessed he meant reexam would be kinda cleaver since the word is the shored version of reexamine that means to examine again or in this case re-roll the dice
Dylan Crane You probably are saying this because of AMC, I saw it too for the first time. I wonder what they could sin though, at least in the beginning. Good movie and made me cry it was so sad
Yeah. I know. That's my point. Having the young actress use her real voice would have been way less weird than using old lady voice dubbed over young lady. It was really distracting. I was trying to think of a reason they'd do that but it's still not a good enough reason.
my favorite part of Insidious is how they completely ignore that other son for the entirety of both movies

Parker Crane: A KNIFE
Paranormal investigator: NO!!!
Underrated comment
Is the dad the guy that plays Ed warren?
Yes. His real name is Patrick Wilson.
+Ilham oh okay. Cool. Thanks!
No Ed Warren is the guy that plays the dad
*****
Nope Lorraine is Lorraine Lambert - The Insidious series in 100% fictional, whilst Lorraine Warren was real as the Conjuring is 50% fictional :)
Thewifeswapped yes
4:55 Early ding.
Ding.
I noticed.
Premature dinging
Okay guys would you rather:
a) spend 10 hours arguing about a map in the Blair woods or
b) spend 10 hours trying to talk to insidious spirits with dice?
In other words, choose which death by boredom/insanity you'd prefer.
12:58: "It's been so long since I felt real pain. I miss it, but not as much as I miss inflicting it on others." The real sin is that someone got paid a lot of money to write that line.
Oh, and since summer's around the corner, they should start doing movies dealing with the water like the Jaws movies...........or the Piranha movies......................................or if they're going that far, the Sharknado movies.
OMG SHARKNADO I completely forgot that film that would be funny as fuck
I believe they already did Sharknado, I can't remember but you should check and see for yourself.
Nvm, they did Berdemic. I somehow confused them.
Alfonso V. It's not difficult, they're both stupid. And yet some how both got sequels.
Well they should do them anyway as the third one is coming out this summer.
Everything wrong with 50 Shades of Grey!
King Pancake good one
HoopsAndDinoMan i wonder why this hasnt reached a bazillion clicks already^^ ...i have to revisit this and click till my fingers bleed!!!^^
who s with me??? ^^
HoopsAndDinoMan Fifty shades of shit
HoopsAndDinoMan That has been done already. Check their channel.
Everything
This series thrives so much on jumpscares it's almost funny. Sure some scenes are creepy but half the tension is cheaply made then cashed in on with a loud musical cue. Either that or it's an "innocent/happy child's toy/song turned into creepy song because villains sing/use it" type deal
The part where the woman says "DONT YOU DARE" has me crying with laughter omg it was too funny
Sees this in suggestion box
"Oh,okay, I can watch this"
Insidious title shows in red.
"You know what, never mind I don't want to'
This isn't even horror. It's jumpscare after jumpscare after jumpscare over and over again. People just can't fucking make decent horror films anymore.
Two words for you: The Babadook no jumpscares just true psycological horror
Don't you dare!
Revculter96 It Follows
Justin Kane to the top with you!
Just like five nights at freddy's.
I love that the cinema sins don’t crap on good films that would be easy instead you guys go for the subtle things missed making these RUclips videos feel like they should be on the DVD extras
7:13 “this seems kinda girly for a boys room” Jeremy:” that’s racist” 😂😂😂😂
I watched this movie with my parents and when she yelled, "Don't you dare!" I almost flipped out and ran out of the door.
Yeah I think it was your dad trynna make it seem haunted so you’d be good my dad did the same thing with a dummy he had
Spooky!"
Horror movies are scary...
Until CinemaSins makes a video about.
CinemaSins seems to hate horror movies honestly. What, do they like, like, three of them?
Yeah, no, as soo as they said "Bride in Black" my brain redirected to BVB.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PUUULLLEEEAAASSSEEE DO WAR OF THE WORLDS that movie has way too many damn loopholes, overly convenient moments, and loose ends
Also about a billion "they survive this" moments
marylandlax3 and the characters are annoying.
"I'm totally a demon stance."
LMFAO
I just had an Insidious Marathon!!!! I love these movies. I also love these videos!
"Tommy Wiseau is still posed about Lisa cheating on him"
I'm in fucking pieces laughing. You're tearing me apart, cinemasins
bruh just the sound of those violins triggers me so hard😂
With the dice throwing scene, I was more thinking he was being the Dungeon Master in yet another Dungeons & Dragons campaign. Roll for Initiative!
This is just brilliant. All these years later and it's still a brilliant video.
4:46 the *DEMON* slapped her really really really hard because it's a *DEMON* with anger management issues.
Am i the only one that sees Parker's mom at 3:51
+Azmi Raissa No, I saw her too.
OMG I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE
Omg your right!
thank you! by far my fav part of this movie. the subtleness is great
Stranger In Moscow ohh damn i never noticed that
why don't they just leave the kid and move to texas
Logan And Jason RUclips 111 cause that's the logical solution, and horror movie characters don't know what logic is.
Logan And Jason RUclips 111 "i got the worlds longest tincan telephone ready to guide us out"😂
ikr
cuz i doesnt matter it will follow
iitaliano52
So why isn't insidious 3 going to have anything to do with number 2?
It's a prequel
Yeah, it doesn't make any sense, it should be named "The first Insidious" or "Insidious: Chapter 0" not "Chapter 3"
Token Black
Yeah cause I was sort of looking forward to a sequel but oh well I liked all of these so far so itll be ok i guess
Dom2K Because it's going back to before all of the event's in the first Insidious happened, I think. That's just what I remember, or I could be talking mumbo jumbo.
tranZilla15 wtf....
One thing I hate about watching CinemaSins horror movies... yes jeremy’s voice is comforting but also THE JUMP SCARES STILL THROW ME OFF I WASNT READY BRO GIMME SOME DAMN WARNING
I'm watching this at 3:53 am and I forgot all the jump scares this movie has and all the loud noises so every time it gets me
anyone else noticed that at 3:51 there is a girl in a white dress sitting in a chair in the room at the right side of the camera and when you have the next view in the room the girl is gone? no sin for that? or is it actually a pretty ok thing...
Holy i saw it 😱
that's not a sin is a pretty good scene
yo he should've taken sins off for that. maybe he didn't see it lol
Yeah that was creepy af
HOLY SHIT THAT'S SO COOL
Who else googled "Rixm"?
Well that was disappointing.
Starfall Studios yeah it just said Richmond VA though, which is random
Starfall Studios Gonna be a grammar Nazi *Rixhm*
I believe its called the Rixhm Effect. Concluding to my search, one said it meant nothing and was a inside joke used by a small group of people. Causing a range of people wanting to know what the word meant, and spreading curiosity; The Rixhm Effect.
Starfall Studios i just guessed he meant reexam would be kinda cleaver since the word is the shored version of reexamine that means to examine again or in this case re-roll the dice
“Don’t mind me, just ghosting through the background, you in for some Thai food later?” Killed me 😂😂
5:00 the fucking "Yahtzee!" Killed me
I loved your book so much I finished it in 4 days. I demand a sequel!
Do Cinema sins for Saving Private Ryan
(1998)
Dylan Crane You probably are saying this because of AMC, I saw it too for the first time. I wonder what they could sin though, at least in the beginning. Good movie and made me cry it was so sad
Dylan Crane There is only one sin to that movie... That it ended.
Dylan Crane There isn't a single sin in that beautiful movie.
Lord GabeN I'll give you one right now. As shown in "Mythbusters", bullets do not penetrate water like they did in the movie.
4:44 is supposed to be scary but the slap gets me
The circle must be broken.
A short-lived Doctor Who joke, a bad one at that. #Circle
Elite Potatoes DoctorDonna! Friends! The Circle must be broken!
-fist bumps fellow Whovian-
Anyone else bring bananas to parties?
Elite Potatoes I was thinking the exact same thing..
Half Priced Taco Don't forget the 3D glasses to see void stuff!
I feel SO bad for the children who have to play as these paranormal demons 7:29
i never understood why they had lin shaye over dub her younger self.... it's so obvious.
Really stupid. Maybe the younger actress just sounds nothing like the older actress but...come on.
1ranjeeves21 I know right. she (the younger self) just sounds so wrong.
daytripper18 It doesn't have to be the same voice, your voice changes as you get older :/
Yeah. I know. That's my point. Having the young actress use her real voice would have been way less weird than using old lady voice dubbed over young lady. It was really distracting. I was trying to think of a reason they'd do that but it's still not a good enough reason.
“Elise Ex-Machina!”
I died 🤣🤣
