Thanks - I'm considering this as a used vehicle and this confirms what I've seen elsewhere. Great SUV but not a super gas saver except if you do short trips - which is what I do!

After 2 years we get 10 miles on all electric....But my wife works 4.5 miles from home so a 13 gal. tank last her about 6 weeks with the little weekend driving she does.

My work commute is 10 miles each way. I do wish this had more miles. Not even a ton but just more.

I've had the car during lockdown, and just driving around town. Six weeks later and I still have the initial tank of gas. Scott must be a lead foot.

We own this and I really don't like it. Lot of issues with this car, reported multiple times but the dealer nor the manufacturer does not care. My last Mercedes ..not buying anymore
    1. The charging port door - You all see it, the design is so bad, the door does not open with just one push (even the dealer did not open it for one time) so they said they will fix it for free but they could fix it. We tried after the fix and its the same. Also the small clamp/hook that holds the door is so loose, it keeps falling off. I am not expecting this door/hook to last more than 5 years (if used carefully)
    2. The switch between electric and gas engine - You will be shocked that this car takes a while to switch between electric and to gas. If you are on a street where there is a lot of traffic and you have to backup into the street and ride forward, it takes few seconds to switch from electric mode to gas mode. This is really very dangerous especially when there is a slope as the car gets into an ideal condition (no electric or gas power) and it just stays there for few seconds. You will be like ...press the gas harder..to force it to start gas engine
    3. When you start driving, first time when it switches from electric to gas mode, it does not easily switch from gas to electric. This happens the first time after the car is fully charged, then later it gets better.
    4. Regenerative breaking or breaking: I am not sure where the problem is but sometimes when you try to slow down and start applying breaks, you will experience a jerk and then breaking vibration.
    5. We recorded a video where the car is completely locked but the dashboard was lit, we were worried what is happening with the car. I showed the video the dealer but we couldn't reproduce the same so the dealer said it might have corrected etc. This was the second time we noticed, hence we recorded. First time we thought something we might have messed or did not believe.
    6. Keyless entry/Touch lock/unlock - We are so confused with this. The dealer says if we lock the car couple of times then it will not unlock for touch as it thinks someone has used our key to lock or unlock multiple times ...not sure I really understood what he was saying.
I was always a Toyota guy, but thought of buying Mercedes this time as a gift but I am totally unsatisfied with the amount of money we paid for less than 11 miles of electric (though they claim its 13 etc) ..the display and the miles have a difference. Also the gas mileage is really bad comparatively, maybe due to regenerative breaking. I also noticed the tires are already at the end of their life after 25000+ miles, is that normal?

Is it weird that my favorite thing is the second little plug cover under the main cover? :P

Absolutely brilliant car. I just achieved 1015 miles with a combination of £41 in fossil fuel and £42 in all renewable electric charge.

This range is terrible for a plug-in hybrid. Lexus does a much better job offering 35 MI but users claim they actually get up to 46 on Highway

Electric miles around 10 useless. At least 30 or 50 needed.

That's my concern. I just purchased one from Carmax. I can't see why the just 10 miles is acceptable. I am considering returning.

10 miles is enough to get to a gas station in case you run out of gas
