I had a 3 hour dental procedure today (crown) and after I got my son lunch I decided to check out mine. I FOUND ONE!!! It is the most beautiful deep reel ocean color in personal size with all of the inserts and ruler plus a pouch and dividers! I have been wanting a Malden Ochre but I’ll take this! Thank you for the heads up! So happy! Mine was $24.99!

I managed to get the same A5 purple Filofax at my local Home Goods today! I found 2 pocket size Filofax and 1 personal size Filofax. I really wanted the A5. I was about to give up hope of finding one and took one last look down an isle I thought I had been in and POOF there she was! I made sure it wasn’t damaged because it was sitting oddly on the shelf with the strap unlatched. She is perfect. I snatched her up and brought her home. I have always wanted a Filofax but never had the money to afford them. It’s crazy I got this for literally a 1/4 of the price! Next up is to find some inserts I like. 😊

This is my random Filofax knowledge that lives in my head for no reason. Until now. 😂 FLB Group (Filofax, Letts, and Blueline Group) owns (surprise) Filofax, Letts of London, and Blueline. TJX is the parent company of TJ Maxx, Homegoods, Marshalls, TK Maxx...and they are a retailer of last season and slow moving product. A lot of retailers that sell Filofax are not authorized by FLB to change out the inserts in the planners. They can "include" an extra insert of the new year/next year but that is only at their own expense. This results in a lot of this years dated planners (which technically are considered last season) becoming outdated and retailers being stuck with the product. So they sell it off.
Your personal was an example of how a retailer can pay for a new insert on their own and "update" the planner to hopefully make a profit. You can always tell because it will have the Not For Retail Sale pack in it.
@jessicasblack Interesting - and explains why so many of the 'centennial' binders are turning up three years down the line (they were issued in 2021) with this year's inserts.

You are THE BEST! I went today and got a slate grey pocket finsbury, an aqua personal finsbury, and a personal pencil pouch. I had to go to the combo store because the separate Homegoods and TJmaxx stores did not have them.

When I saw this A5 soft Filofax in my favourite colour I run to buy it! Sadly there is no Homegoods in Spain, so it was 87€. But tomorrow it's my birthday, so... 😁😅

Ooh, I have that exact Filofax Original, the colour is heavenly. And as a Brit, congrats on getting a proper kettle 😋
The other “vintage” Filofaxes to look out for is the Kensington, it’s very similar to the Stratford in layout, but comes up more often.
This color took me by surprise in such a lovely way! And, thank you! Loving my tea kettle so much!!
I found this exact Filofax A5 purple at standalone Homegoods two weeks ago for 24.99. Also scored a red Letts of London planner at $6.99. I decided against the pocket Filofax. Too small for me. They had just put them out and it was a lucky find for me! Wasn’t even looking for them! Had the Duck Egg Blue Filo years ago. Sold it because I didn’t like the color long term. It was also patent and stiff. I love the purple lilac being so floppy and soft!

We have... TKMaxx/Homegoods in the UK - I got an A5 Orchid? Malden in there last year for like £40. She was in a box, kinda mixed in with some of the storage boxes so I'm wondering if someone hid her there or if the employee just didn't check. But I recognised the icons on the box and then my partner was like... Yeah, you should get that.
They tend to get all the diaries and calenders in around the mid year times - so academic diary starts, a few before Christmas, a few in January, sometimes in September. But I think I see the most durinig the warmer months - at least in my town. Apparently people don't buy mid year diaries around here.
I see a lot of L1917s in there sometimes too. TKMaxx doesn't always do a great deal but when they do!

@@SeaweedKisses I have had the personal since 2012 and have conditioned it once. It was my EDC for many years. I fell in love with it so I had to have the other sizes lol I purchased the others throughout the years. And I’ve never conditioned them. They are just naturally that way. I only conditioned the personal because I used it consistently and it was thrown in my bag. I am a Hobonichi girl now since 2019 so the Filo’s are only removed from the shelf when I need them. I have the Ochre. And I bought the Purple A5 for my mother to use as her work everyday carry and she has only conditioned hers once as well. Hope this helps. I am so excited for you. 🤍

My company use to get us a personalized Letts leather planner every year. They were the perfect size for a coat pocket. I loved them and still have a few😭 At some point we grew to 80,000 employees and stopped ordering them. People were so upset the following year when we didn’t get them nor could they order them on their own.

Unfortunately I didn't find the pocket size but I did find the A5 in a gorgeous mint green patent leather! $24.99 is unbelievable. It's too big to carry in my purse of course, so I need to figure out a way to use it at home. Thank you so much for putting out this STAT video. I have not ever purchased a "pre-loved". I'm thinking in order for me to ever get a filofax maulden I'm going to have to buy a pre-owned one. Do you have any suggestions where I could look and the people would be reliable?
So happy you were able to find a beautiful a5 one!!🎉 For preloved, I just google what I’m looking for and click on whatever seller pops up. For the maldens I looked up “Filofax Malden for sale.” eBay, poshmark, and mercari usually come up with options. I advise looking at the pictures carefully and messaging sellers with any specific questions you may have (gaps in rings? leather cracked any where? etc) I always check seller’s star ratings as well. Never had a bad experience using these strategies.❤ Hope you find a good one!
Great finds! After seeing your video, I decided to get the personal size in the lilac color. Purple is my favorite color. 💜 It was priced at $67, but Amazon gave me a 30% off coupon. I only paid $47! I just looked at the listing again and the seller has upped the price to $120!!😱
