Too many people are concerned about HP numbers vs the base model. The mods on the 450RWE were to create a broader and more usable engine, not necessarily to add bigger HP numbers. End result, an easier and more fun bike to ride.
It’s not even the whole mods though, it’s not a complete Hinson clutch. Just a cover and basket, you still need to buy the inner basket, plates, and springs. When you do the complete setup it has much more and stronger clamping force than the RWE. The damn triple clamps are just painted and aren’t billet and it’s just did ltx rims not EXCEL A60…. The motor is barely pumped up as well, why bother at $14k? You can build an all out crf450 with 65hp built motor, billet triple clamps, and real suspension setup for the same price if you know what your doing. They really do charge a crazy tax for what it is.
@ crazy tax… yet it’s near the price of a base model ktm. The value is there for those who want it those components. Pricing out the mods plus the bike will cost you more…. Just a FYI, it doesn’t cost 14k. You’re thinking of a different bike. If someone wants to build a bike, they will. For those who don’t, these “factory” edition bikes are perfect for them and far beyond what most can use. In the end they sell every single bike. There’s a reason they sell faster than people can buy them. Same cannot be said for any bike built afterwards.
Honda's destination charge is $600. so, the actual price might be more depending on who you buy yours from. I bought two of them for $25,500 OTD. sales tax was $1500 of that. no set-up/PDI fee. and just to comment on the video, no one "needs" a-kit, but that doesn't mean it cant help you as a rider. Plushness is a virtue. the more comfy the fork is and the more bottoming resistance you have, the more confidence you will have to push that extra bit harder off the big jumps or through the rough stuff. this applies to most speed and skill levels, essentially.
I'm struggling to understand what going from 16 to 18mm diameter rear shock shaft does for bike performance other than make it a stronger component. It can only be correcting a weakness...(and possibly adding weight)
Vet intermediates, experts, and pros don't buy A kits for bling sir. We buy it because when set up properly it's safer and allows you to go faster than we otherwise could. That officially qualifies as the most ridiculous comment I've ever heard from MXA in over thirty years.
Only the top 15% of riders are actually faster with works suspension. The stock suspension on any new mx bike is not the main factor that determines a riders speed. Modern oem suspension is so good that many arnt fast enough to require more...as stated in this video. On older bikes, oem suspension was seriously lacking. Theres a notion that any half serious rider needs to get an upgraded shock & fork set up for his weight & riding style. while the custom stuff is better then stock, most riders arnt pushing their bike hard enough to see a noticeable improvement in lap times. I enjoy having the best suspension that you can buy because it obviously is better then a stock bike. I agree with you that people arnt only buying it for the look, but most riders arnt actually faster with it. A stock bike is still capable of going faster then most are able to ride.
@@pauliewalnuts240 We both agree there's a lot more to riding than just the suspension. That being said, since 2016 I've owned only Husqvarna FC450s. I had bone stock AER's all years (except for those atrocious 4CS crappers) and rode the bike that way for a while. I've also had MX Techs best, Craig Decker's messaged Enzo KYB (actually still have both of those on my 2 FC450s right now). Also bought Tyler Livsay's Cone Valve setup done by Race Tech with only one race on it. Used that for a while. Haven't had the full KYB A kit but my best friend has it on his SXF 450 and I can ride it as much as I want. Here's my take for what's it's worth. All things being equal NOBODY who is aspirinig to go faster or fly higher is going to produce better lap times on stock suspension vs an A Kit. But here's an important qualifier: I would take a great revalve and setup on stock suspension over a confused setup on a $10,000 A Kit every time. Especially, as an older rider who needs a little help but still wants to launch it to the moon, I want the vast bottoming resistance, and I prefer the A kit type stuff to help make up for errors, judgement lapses or just good old fashioned MX mistakes of any kind. But that's just me brother.
@@pauliewalnuts240 His comment that we (vet riders) buy A Kits for the bling factor still qualifies as the most ridiculous comment to come out of MXA's archives in my 30 plus years of supporting them.
I own a 23 yz450 and between the seat which is a honestly a joke and the intake noise which, yes, gets really old, I’m seriously considering jumping ship. Besides that I do love the Yamaha it’s raw and aggressive. But looks like Honda might’ve found the formula for 25.
And yet Honda are still living in the dark ages by not having a phone app to change mapping and the likes. Even Kawasaki have something, but it’s gunna be tough to beat the Yamaha app, very poor on Honda again
Who cares if the engine is right from the factory. And if you really want to change how the engine performs an aftermarket ecu is what truly makes a difference compared to the 2% max difference the wifi app makes

Brochure specs win comment section shootouts. That’s why lol
Was that your experience when you rode it?
@@morley3810 watch all the review videos that have just been released, especially Keefer Inc. No I did not ride it, I have the 250rwe.

Riding a 2014 Honda CRF450R and I absolutely love it. One day I'll get a new one.
Own #217 of 500 of the 250rxwe. Love it.
own #1 of 500 on the 250RWE ! I was stoked on that :P enjoy your bike !!
Kawasaki offers a full ti system and x trig clamps plus hand porting and coated suspension and larger rear shock shaft
I've always been happy with my bigger shaft
They do, but the bike is flawed.
So no clutch, hand clickers, rims, intake and exhaust or ECU?
Also cost more….
and kawi’s are time bombs.

That’s gotta be one of the best looking bikes ever.
How would you compare this to the KX450SR , torn between which to purchase.
Awesome bike probably best stock bike you can get 🔥 would love a new crf450r or beta 450rx they're great looking and come with a hgs exhaust stock.
Is a Works Edition really a stock bike? If you compare it to the base model the answer is no.
@jpesicka492 best bike you can get from the dealership then...
This bike is around 16,256 out the door in CA with taxes and there market up at the dealerships
OMG , that's insane .

why no titanium header??
Wow!!! Beautiful 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you

Besides a pipe and clicker adjuster on the forks, seems like it’s all superficial stuff. Not much difference from stock imo
Guys I drive a 2022 Honda and can kinda whip so now after 0:18 I have max steeze
Dyno vs stock?
Enjoy every minute young people. I miss it more than anything else. I pray if the lord will accept me into heaven it is full of motorcycles.
How many have been made?
500 250 and 500 450
I cut all the ribbing off these grips with a sharp razor blade. Makes them thinner, and I like them now.
Best 450 you can get off the floor, NO debate.
Doesn’t even have adjustable Bluetooth maps🥴
Yami is by far the best bang for the buck off the floor and they don't even offer a works edition.

this or ktm sxf 450 FE ?
The Honda RWE cost less than the base model ktm. Compared to the FE it’s a big price difference. The Honda is better for the same amount of money.
@@JRodSMX without talking about price
@ pick whichever you prefer. Both are great. Price is the biggest difference.
HONDA, no contest! I’d never own a euro bike, let alone a Known To Malfunction fugly tub of shit…😉

Still have to find someone who is able to make a better map than factory whit those app
yeah man i bet if it had an app and you got it you would improve 5 places every race!
Yami is by far the best in that category and the only one who doesn't charge extra for it .
@tcmx712 agree. They are already so good and we are spoiled. The bikes really are incredible as they come. All of them. I am a Honda a guy though.
Ride Red Get…. #HRC
Same ole bike..
Nice! 🤙🏻
Old model looked better
How about a better paying amateur contingency program.
That's Yamahas job 😂
Wat does it have for HP and weight
