Just noticed that not every procreate paper has this on and off paper. This method just works for the papers that does. Just need to use these types . Thank you! ☹
Everytime I click clear it just gets rid of the whole layer. I’ve been trying to figure this out for so long and am so stuck 😅 I need to get my logo isolated so I can put it on any background but I can’t get it to work. Someone help lol

Hello when I press the selection tool and put it on automatic and drag, my artwork doesn’t remain the same color but inverts in color, how do I fix this?
I am no expert but go to free hand draw around what u wanted to move and then press mouse pointer button and then u drag it over anywhere It’s ok if I turns inverted it’s normal u just press the selection tool again it should remove I hoped this helps
@@-spring_skyss I think I figured it out! I did the freehand tool went to the layers and masked it and then merged the masks and the background disappeared!
Hi, You're always an inspiration. I'm always using your brushes and watercolor textured paper. I thoroughly enjoy working on it. I just needed help in exporting png files. I did the same for one of my clients but the white background remained there. I send her through email as well but still the white background was coming e even I cropped whole artwork using cropping tool and saved a a png file. I don't know if the client was not willing to pay more or there was a genuine problem. Please help you know anything about it. Thanks 🙏

I really enjoy watching your tutorial videos and have learned a lot of technics. I wonder if there is a way to keep 300 dpi when I make my work into PNG. If I save my work as JPG and import back to Procreate, the 300 dpi drops to 264dpi.
Hi! You can ignore the DPI in procreate. It is not related to quality, it's related to measurement units. The number '264DPI' is probably coming from your ipad screen dpi. All that matters with digital art is the 'real size' in pixels. For example, if you had an image that was 3000px by 3000px and the dpi in procreate was set to 1dpi, it will print exactly the same as that same image set too 1000dpi in procreate.
So, some transparency modes (like color burn, for example) only function within RGB channels. When you turn off the background, you are introducing a transparent channel that isn't compatible with certain effects in the paper texture. This is why turning off the background doesn't work and you just see some weird grey texture. The layers in the paper texture are malfunctioning because of the transparent channel.

Please, mb you know how to save several png images (share layers -png) on transparent background but without empty space around every image? Not all size my canvas but only borders of my drawing. It so uncomfortable after to cut of every image in my photo library:( for example, I had A4 canvas and drew five small stars on different layers and I need to save all of them like self image. Hi! I have white text overlapping a white image (it’s going on a black T-shirt). I would like to erase the image around the text but don’t want to do it free hand with the erase tool. Is there a way to do this so that my erased outline around the text is precise all around.
I’m a little confused why you wouldn’t just save it as a png or even tiff since isn’t transparent on the first go around as opposed to saving jpeg & then do everything the same? In my mind I just assume it would retain more quality but idk much either lol 🤷♀️ nonetheless- good video 👍
The brushes used to paint this art are transparent. So, doing it the way you described would result in a PNG with varying opacity throughout the artwork :( I wish I could do it your way, but this is the only method to produce fully opaque clipart on a fully transparent background.

I'm having issues selecting the inside fill of a text I created. It's filled with white and it has a black outline. I'm trying to remove the white and make it transparent and only keep the black outline. I tried selecting the white and clearing it but it deletes the whole thing, including outline. Can you help me out?
Hi! Can you make sure the text layer is rasterized before you try to select the white? If you tap on the text layer on procreate, it will show some options. One option is rasterize :) If this doesn't work, maybe you can email or message me a screenshot and I can spot what's going wrong
@@calvinatdrifterstudio8438 No no so it's a hand made cursive font. Not a text box. So I used the streamline brush to write something. Then I duplicated the layer underneath to create an outline around the writing. Then I merged them together and closed the app so I can't undo the merge. And well I want to eliminate the fill and just keep the outline. But I keep trying to do your steps and all my layer gets erased. Do you have any videos to creating transparent handwritten text with outlines??? I looked all over RUclips and there's not a single helpful video I found

This will happen if the selection you made gets 'deselected'. You have to make sure the selection is still 'active' before you use Clear. Otherwise, it will clear the entire layer :}
You don't need to do all this at all! Go to the layers, deselect "background colour" and go to save as a PNG. Voilà, that easy, I don't get the point here 🤔🤷
This only works on you own work, if you have all in the same layer or if is a jpeg that you find on the internet use the app "Photoshop Mix" faster and easier
in procreate it stays as transparent but when i sent it to my laptop from ipad it again has white background ... is it not possible to sent transparent png from gmail or what..

You just have to remove the background colour from where the layers are and then export it as png :) hope this helps

One problem I had was there was a thin white line around the edge of the painting canvas, any idea why and how to fix?

No, it doesn't work because some layers use color burn. This glitches when interacting with the alpha channel.
