I notice you don't sand off the flash off the donor parts, especially noticeable on the canopy guns. Is that an observation based on the original ILM models - did they not bother?
Just the application of liquid latex to emulate chipped and wear. ILM used this a lot, for minor wear and tear effects, and also in huge amounts when we're talking about Boba Fett and Slave One for example. I'll see if I can do a piece on some simple latex work at some point.

You mean the injection seam? No, id never bother unless it was a really noticeable seam flash, like on many old AMT kits.
