I really can’t believe your video got my backlash out!! I was super frustrated and almost cut my line out of my reel. Thank you sir truly appreciate it.
Good informative series. From experience, I would like to offer this tip: stay calm and relaxed when dealing with a backlash. It's easy to get frustrated, and start to tug and pull to hard, and make the problem even worse. If possible, always have a backup combo with you, in case it's more challenging than expected. No reason to ruin quality fishing time on a bad backlash, if it proves more challenging thay need be. For example, I find sunny, hot, humid days, the worst time to deal with a backlash. As such, with practice, they become less frequent to almost non existence as a person gets more comfortable. Good work Debo, keep it up. (Sorry if I repeated what you may have already pointed out)
Tip from an old guy to the old guys: Bring a pair of "cheaters" on the water with you. Being able to actually see those kinks while on the water helps immensely. I get the most frustrated when I can't see what I'm trying to pull free. Arrggghhhh.
I. Just starting on the lews bait caster rod and reel combo and I just love how you simplify the untangling of the spool man words couldntt tell how thankful I am for the info....
Depends on the conditions which will change often as more time goes by. The degree of difficulty varies with each situation you are presented with. I hope it keeps going smoothly for you.
I decided about 1 year ago I was going to start with bait cast reels... These backlash issues were the first frustrating issue I had... Since then I have used each of the removal techniques discussed... They work... When the brakes are properly tuned... It becomes a fast favorite of reels.
Rats nests are very frustrating. As you mentioned the key is to be patient and gentle. Pulling hard only makes it snarl tighter. Good video, I hadn't realized the danger of the kinks and making a weak spot in the line. Thank you
I know that I came to the party late but the best way to PREVENT this is to take all the line off the reel - cut the hook/bait from it and re-spool it or put it on another bobbin and remove it until you get to the first wind. Then re-spool this back onto the reel again. Only make sure that you tighten it and keep it taut the entire way. This helps to keep backlash to a minimum. It may not remove it completely but the main reason that this happens is because they don't have it completely taut at the factory when winding it around the spool. I hope that this helps. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Thx Debo! I just bought my 1st baitcaster rod/reel and your tutorial is very good. I have to go buy some cheap line and go to the park and practice and use my newly gained knowledge from u.
Figured I'd give you a big thanks because I was struggling last year after getting back into using baitcasters again in years. This truck made it much faster in getting back into the water again so thank you dude for explaining this.
Thanks for the tip new too baitcasting and I had this problem this weekend so I trashed the whole spool of braid & went & had it redone today, & now I see your video so I kind of know what to do the next time this happens.
This is a skill that needs to be mastered by study, trial and error. The reward for me is greater than the time and effort that it has taken for me to learn how to reduce and recover from backlashes! Please give it a good try! Study and Practice. I call it FISHING.
Got this down I actually just gave myself some the worst I believe I could do and worked them out. I now understand how and what happens in a backlash. Thanks Brother and take care D
I just bought an Abu Garcia silver max. This and other videos are helping. I am liking the thorough explanation about the brakes. Something new I learned was letting off the tension so my lure goes down slowly. I was going fast before. Can’t wait to fish next weekend
I know this is old, and I never comment on RUclips videos, but thank you so much for this. All of these videos about how to avoid backlash but yours is the first to actually show me how to fix one. I used to just pull until I couldn't pull anymore and then that reel was done for the day. I had one that I thought I was going to have to cut all the line off and start over, but with your tips, I resolved it in just a few minutes. This will help me immensely.
@@danielsepulveda912 if you only spool that much on, there are a few issues. Shorter casts, your reel will bring in less line because it's not full, and less room for error. If you break off, you may not have enough line for a long cast. Hope this helps man.
That's some decent advice. I am amazed at how many people spend all kinds of money on a baitcaster but never really learn how to use one properly. I suggest you add a video on "how to thumb the spool to avoid or minimize birdsnests." When I was a boy my uncle taught me about fishing. He had me practice casting at the local school's grass field, using just thumb pressure, as back then there were few if any reels with magnets or centrifugal brakes. If you practice before you actually go fishing, you're much less likely to experience backlash, and when it inevitably happens, it's a lot easier to clear up using your sage advice in this video.
bought my first baitcaster on father's day last week. 3 fishing trips later and I've already had to respool lol. I'm gettin' there, though. Thanks for this video, there are some tips in here I definitely didn't know
Been fishing a baitcaster for decades. So many things I just never thought about. One was I just started picking and pulling at the birds nest. It usually came out and maybe I was doing some right things without thinking, but wow, this was an eye-opener. Subscribed.
just as another little tip, the backlash happens because the spool is spinning faster than the line is coming out of the reel and starts to fluff up around the spool because it doesn't have any where to go. if you pull out a about as much line as you expect to ever cast, then pull a bit more, and put a piece of cheap masking tape on the line and reel up the line over the top of the tape. that way, no matter how much the spool spins, non of the line below that piece of tape can loosen up and make the backlash worse. and if you need that line because a fish it pulling drag, the little piece of tape isn't even going to slow it down. as you get better and better, and can cast farther and farther, just take the tape off, spool out some more line and put the tape back. a back lash is easier to pick out if there is less line fluff up involved. or now, what the heck do i know any way!
I've watched many of your videos, some multiple times. Your clear, accurate explanations coupled with close, multi-angular camera views make your instructional videos among the best out there! Thank you for the time you spend to help others.
I've taught two of my brothers and four of my nephews to use a baitcaster, after a mate taught me. Take a sinker and start casting across your yard or a park. While you're learning to cast is the perfect time to learn how to clear a backlash. Don't fear it, cause it then clear it. In time you will become practiced and you will learn the finesse required to use a baitcaster with both accuracy and distance without any backlashes. But until it becomes second nature, you're going to get the odd bird's nest in your spool. From day one just embrace it as a part of learning to use a baitcaster, and learn how to clear them. Best thing to do is just grab a little bucket to cast your sinker at and practice casting and clearing backlash for twenty minutes a few times a week. It doesn't take long before you realise you just had a day or two of practice casts without getting a bird's nest. It's like everything, if you want to get good, practice.
Also a lot of the time with braid, you can tease the loops out with your thumb just by rubbing it with light pressure back and forth across the line while you work the spool slightly backwards.
Bought my first baitcaster in preparation for the 2022 open water season. Your videos are a great intro on how to set it up and troubleshoot issues. Thanks!

Well this is a video I wish I would have watched a lot sooner. I will highly recommend this entire series to my friends who are too afraid to try baitcasters and are stuck using spinning rods or zebcos for everything. Just found your channel this morning man, I think you are one of the most relatable anglers on YT! You do a great job of breaking down the explanations without oversimplifying and wasting time. Keep up the good work, look forward to seeing more!
My soft bait Zebco Omega, crank for, e v e r - - setup, faded into the depths of Hickory Log Creek Reservoir this weekend with a resounding anticlimactic PLOP! I had to laugh at the sight of $90 dollars vanishing from view in under a second. At least it was a tungsten weight, not lead (muni H2O supply lake). Word, stow rods in rod holders before paddle/pedaling to a different spot. Anyway. Later that night was spent with DEBO virtually, on the reel comparison videos. I've only used spinning and closed face. Closed face has been the ultimate best for wrist rocketing lines through trees to install ham radio wire antennas. That said, the pretty and spendy Omega will be the last of it's kind for me, for fishing purposes. My other (now only) rig is a RUNCL Titan spinning reel with very many inches per crank, and I do enjoy it. Great feel, balanced at any speed, their drag system is all they claim so far. But now, thanks to THIS one video, and your other baitcaster reviews, I will be ordering a baitcaster during lunch hour today. Thanks DEBO, the quality of this video is super.
Thanks Debo. I finally started using a bait caster reel I got years ago. I followed your tips and how to’s and It’s awesome learning something new . THANK YOU!!!

Got an idea for a video for U...Do a video for Old fashion "Spincast" reels! ... I have a Pflueger President Spincast which I love for Bass fishin! What is your take on that?
Debo, used this method to clear a few nice backlashes today. Worked every time - just take it easy and pull the loops out until it is cleared. Fellow Hawkeye fan thanks you!
I am so glad I found this video. Thanks for making it Debo. I recently bought my first baitcaster. I am a bank fisherman and tried casting from an awkward angle for the first time. Needless to say, it did not go well. The line was so tangled that it was comical. I thought for sure I would have to cut the line. Found your video and absorbed the information overnight. Got up early in the morning and had it untangled in less than 2 minutes. Awesome! Thanks again for the great video!
If you've never used one, you will backlash but it's all part of learning. Watch my other videos and set your brakes properly, you'll be fine. If you have questions, feel free to hit me up!
Wow what a great vid. Never seen a backlash vid with such detail and clarity. I had a backlash this weekend and just put the reel away until I had the patience to fix it. Not only will this save me a lot of frustration it will save me a lot of money too. Thanks.
It's also better for spinners too,for the same reason thus adding to the creation of those so called "wind knots" which are caused 99% of the time by the user... Most of the cause is people winding the reel while the fish is pulling drag and flicking the bail closed with the handle instead of flipping by hand and having the line get caught over the top of the spool. Most of the time those are harder to get out of braid than backlashes with braid....
Had to go back in my history to find this video just to leave a comment! Your video helped me not freak out when my first backlash happened. Solved it in 30 seconds, super helpful, big thanks!
Bought a bait caster reel and thought to myself “I won’t get backlash it’s for losers😂” little did I know I became a loser but the second part saved my thank you so much for existing ❤❤❤😊
Need a heavier lure mate, it's when the lure slows that the resultant slack in the line ( the spool is still spinning fast) results in slack line on the spool and then starts to get taken up by the spool in the wrong direction, or on the wrong side of spool , ie instead of on top of spool and towards you it wraps on bottom of spool and towards you.
Working on my firsr baitcaster and was making great progress then after a hundred cast or so I got my first tangle and it was the v shape blocking it up and I was discouraged about it. Got it all back out and fixed thanks!!
HELP! Kastking confused me! Question about the difference between Kastking's Speed Demon and Speed Demon Pro Frog rods. Why is the Pro rod a Heavy instead of an Extra Heavy like the normal Speed Demon? What's the benefit and is it worth the extra $30? I like the Winn Grips but for a dedicated Frog Rod..... H or XH and why?
The pro frog rod is more like a mag MH in my opinion. Great for open water frogging (sprinker frog or walking a frog in light vegetation) The regular speed demon bass rod is more of a meatstick traditional tough frog rod. No frills but tough with a lot of power. Hope this helps man!
I also found before tugging or pulling on the line, take the reel out of casting mode. Right now I’m just learning how to cast with the bait caster. Great video.
Yeah, those often times have to be cut out. Some of those aren't worth the hours of cursing and kicking 🤣👊 Keep working with it man! Good luck and tight lines!
Casting side arm will prevent getting into trees. My friend put on a high priced bait. Casted over head. Right into the branch. It was 15 feet up couldnt reach it. Broke the bait off. Learned the hard way! Always check your surroundings. Before casting! SHAWN
Got a baitcaster and rod from my son a couple years ago and finally got around to trying them out today. My GAWD! I can't remember EVER being as frustrated as I was this afternoon. No doubt in my mind that my son had found an evil way to get even with me for all of the beatings he got as a child. (He had them all coming) Out of desperation, I found DEBO'S 3 part series on the mechanics of the baitcasting reel and the technics for using it. I am already casting over 10 feet without a bird's nest! Obviously, he is not only an attractive male, but he saved my son another beating.
I bought a chineese baitcaster and i developed a toxic relationship with it: every single time i trow it away sayin "this piece of crap does not work for fishing" and every time i give it another chance because i think it looks cooler that a spinner one. I hate it for its purpouse but i like for how it looks. It is more sensitive by the way...that part its true.
May want to bump up to a reel with a bit stronger breaking system if you're still struggling. I've use a couple cheap reels and the brakes were nearly non-existent. Makes it hard to consistently operate. Thanks for watching man.
Thanks. Good info and enjoyed the 3 part series. Just bought my first baitcaster. This series was great for a guy who's been reluctant to buy one for years... years We'll see how it goes.

Ive just done the push and twist method but I was unaware of the damage it does to my line. Thank you very much for the video and I will keep it in mind the next time I'm gettin my line wet.

Thank you for this video so much. Whenever I got backlash, I thought the only way to fix it was to just replace all of the line. You've definitely saved me some money.
Great advice. I agree about the dangers of the twist and turn. I cast after getting a backlash out that way and saw my Whopper plopper sail into the distance. Luckily I was able to locate the end of the line in the water and retrieve my lure.

I've watched all 3 videos tonight and it has seriously helped me understand things a lot better, I even switched from mono to braid on my higher end set up thinking the braid would solve my issues turns out my problem wasn't mono at all it was how my brakes were set. Thanks a lot debo

As such, with practice, they become less frequent to almost non existence as a person gets more comfortable.
Good work Debo, keep it up. (Sorry if I repeated what you may have already pointed out)
Reiterating and validating what I'm saying actually works.....I LOVE it! Thanks for taking the time to comment man!
Tip from an old guy to the old guys: Bring a pair of "cheaters" on the water with you. Being able to actually see those kinks while on the water helps immensely. I get the most frustrated when I can't see what I'm trying to pull free. Arrggghhhh.
Everyone can make these how-to videos; but having the right attitude makes one want to watch ‘til the end. You keep it up
I. Just starting on the lews bait caster rod and reel combo and I just love how you simplify the untangling of the spool man words couldntt tell how thankful I am for the info....
You're welcome man, hope it helps you on the water! Thanks for watching 👊
Just started using a bait caster yesterday and it’s so easy. People act like its so hard to do but it’s easy
Depends on the conditions which will change often as more time goes by. The degree of difficulty varies with each situation you are presented with. I hope it keeps going smoothly for you.
I would love to see a video on initially setting up a bait caster from adding line, setting brakes, drag, etc. Thanks for the informative videos.
I decided about 1 year ago I was going to start with bait cast reels... These backlash issues were the first frustrating issue I had... Since then I have used each of the removal techniques discussed... They work... When the brakes are properly tuned... It becomes a fast favorite of reels.
wow, those were some amazing tips to getting a backlash out - great presentation!
Thanks! Hope it helps out man 👊
Rats nests are very frustrating. As you mentioned the key is to be patient and gentle. Pulling hard only makes it snarl tighter. Good video, I hadn't realized the danger of the kinks and making a weak spot in the line. Thank you
I got a backlash so bad I’m still tangled up in my boat
Please send help
Lol I've had some like that too. The tree behind you is always waiting to grab your line. Sometimes you gotta just cut them out.
😂😂😂😂
The best ones are when you cast out, backlash, and while you're trying to fix it , the fish hits....
😭😭lmao
shane stevens fr tho
You're welcome, hope this helps you out man! Thanks for watching!
Figured I'd give you a big thanks because I was struggling last year after getting back into using baitcasters again in years. This truck made it much faster in getting back into the water again so thank you dude for explaining this.
Freaking awesome man! This is why I do it. Appreciate you watching and tight lines 👊👊👊
Thanks for the tip new too baitcasting and I had this problem this weekend so I trashed the whole spool of braid & went & had it redone today, & now I see your video so I kind of know what to do the next time this happens.
Awesome! Glad the vid helps! Good luck and tight lines!
Debo, the entry commentary was excellent. The examples of skate boarding, basketball, etc. are perfect for beginners. Great analogies.
This is a skill that needs to be mastered by study, trial and error.
The reward for me is greater than the time and effort that it has taken for me to learn how to reduce and recover from backlashes!
Please give it a good try!
Study and Practice. I call it FISHING.
Absolutely. You have to take the good casts with the bad casts to learn. Thanks for watching man!
I am so glad that I discovered this channel saved me a lot of headaches the simplicity is beautiful!
When you backlash, switch to a spinning reel.
I always bring my spinning reel lol. Never fails.
A-men.
Practice more with it
Facts
Damn straight lmao 🤣🤣
Most clear and useful video about resolve backlash, glad that I have see this as I'm totally beginner of lure fishing.
DEBO this video was spot on. everything works when it makes sense and you sir made it work buy making sense of it. Thank you!!
Awesome man, hope it helped you out. Thanks for watching 👊👊👊
Got this down I actually just gave myself some the worst I believe I could do and worked them out. I now understand how and what happens in a backlash.
Thanks Brother and take care
D
Awesome, glad the vid helped. Just think of the backlash an opportunity to practice getting out a backlash 🤣 thanks for watching man!
Good overview - Just getting ready to start bass fishing and have my first baitcaster on the way - This both scared me and enlightened me... :)
Hahah you'll be fine man. Just like anything new...just takes practice. Good luck and I hope the vid helps out!
I just bought an Abu Garcia silver max. This and other videos are helping. I am liking the thorough explanation about the brakes. Something new I learned was letting off the tension so my lure goes down slowly. I was going fast before. Can’t wait to fish next weekend
i find using a pocket comb, using any end of the comb to ease out the overlaps.works every time
I know this is old, and I never comment on RUclips videos, but thank you so much for this.
Take it off the rod, throw it in the trash and buy a new one. That's the absolute quickest way to fix this problem 👍
Hahaha yes, this would be the quickest 😂👊
I was wondering if keeping a shorter line like 30 or 40 yards would help?
@@danielsepulveda912 if you only spool that much on, there are a few issues. Shorter casts, your reel will bring in less line because it's not full, and less room for error. If you break off, you may not have enough line for a long cast. Hope this helps man.
Leave it mangled up go back to the store spike it off the counter and demand your money back!
@@CJ_412_ 🤣🤣🤣 That is one way to do it man👊
That's some decent advice.
Yessir! Practice on it will go a long way. Thumb pressure is extremely important. I can definitely try to do a vid like that! Thanks for watching 👊👊👊
bought my first baitcaster on father's day last week. 3 fishing trips later and I've already had to respool lol. I'm gettin' there, though. Thanks for this video, there are some tips in here I definitely didn't know
Yep, it's part of the learning process. Like anything, just takes some practice. Thanks for watching and good luck man 👊👊👊
Been fishing a baitcaster for decades. So many things I just never thought about. One was I just started picking and pulling at the birds nest. It usually came out and maybe I was doing some right things without thinking, but wow, this was an eye-opener. Subscribed.
Bro I really appreciate your videos... your really informational but got a cool vibe but they've been helping me approach bass fishing
Thanks man, that means a lot. Glad to help people out. Have an awesome week!
As an experienced backlasher I’ve gotten fairly efficient at dissecting for repairs. Awesome video. I love your fishing videos from the Jon Boat.
Thanks a ton for watching man! I do hope to get back out in the Jon Boat soon. Thanks for watching brother!
just as another little tip, the backlash happens because the spool is spinning faster than the line is coming out of the reel and starts to fluff up around the spool because it doesn't have any where to go. if you pull out a about as much line as you expect to ever cast, then pull a bit more, and put a piece of cheap masking tape on the line and reel up the line over the top of the tape. that way, no matter how much the spool spins, non of the line below that piece of tape can loosen up and make the backlash worse. and if you need that line because a fish it pulling drag, the little piece of tape isn't even going to slow it down. as you get better and better, and can cast farther and farther, just take the tape off, spool out some more line and put the tape back. a back lash is easier to pick out if there is less line fluff up involved. or now, what the heck do i know any way!
Good idea.
@@Noises absolutely man, good tip!
Thanks for sharing and watching. Have a good weekend my friend!
Bought my first baitcaster in preparation for the 2022 open water season. Your videos are a great intro on how to set it up and troubleshoot issues. Thanks!
I’ve been thinking about a bait caster for my next rod and real set up, so this is very good information to know. Thank you
Awesome, hope the tips helped 👊
Thank You.. im new with a baitcaster.. 3 days... first day frustrated lose half line on reel.. double uni knot up and fill it up.. watch this vid.. backlas today a few times.. got em all cleared easily.. I use lighter line.. and I have a worm threader.. it worked perfectly for getting out backlash on light line.. since I cant use my fingers like you.
Man, that's what I call talking and walking them through it!
Thanks for watching man. I hope this can help folks out!
Wish i had seen this before cutting half of my braid off.
Hope this helps for the next time man. Good luck 👊
DEBO
Did that today... and it was poring rain.... not fun
Same lol.
Best tutorial on RUclips, this is what I’ve been doing for about a year, I use braided line.
Step 2 is what I do
@@TylerSaleik thank you very much man, that means so much to me! Have a great weekend!
Awesome man, I'm glad that my vid can help you out! Like anything new it just takes consistent practice! Good luck my man 👊
Thanks Debo. I finally started using a bait caster reel I got years ago. I followed your tips and how to’s and It’s awesome learning something new . THANK YOU!!!
As always very informative.
What about that crazy sound that come from the spool when casting..
Thanks for watching my man. I'm not sure? At what time in the video are you questioning?
Oh I guess I should have been a bit more clear. lol. I was suggesting maybe a video on proper clean and lube when the reel has that awful noise while casting..
@@scrappys6464 oh yea, I could do a vid on that. Thanks for watching!
This video made my day. Braid is so expensive, so learning these methods to salvage when I get a backlash is awesome. :)
This video gives me anxiety lmao
I am so glad I found this video. Thanks for making it Debo. I recently bought my first baitcaster. I am a bank fisherman and tried casting from an awkward angle for the first time. Needless to say, it did not go well. The line was so tangled that it was comical. I thought for sure I would have to cut the line. Found your video and absorbed the information overnight. Got up early in the morning and had it untangled in less than 2 minutes. Awesome! Thanks again for the great video!
“Baby steps pick out the backlash.” -Bob Wiley
This is the BEST,informative, and shown step by step episodeI have ever seen. TY sooo much!🎣
just put on less line or get a spin caster
I've fished Trilene Big Game,15lbs-100lbs for over 35 years from Alaska to Panama and its the only line that has NEVER let me down!
I ordered a casting reel that will come any day, but after watching couple of these birds nests it made me question myself why did i order it :'(
If you've never used one, you will backlash but it's all part of learning.
Thanks.
Braid is way better for bait casting reels as it doesn't have memory retention.
My motto - pic a little pull a little and keep that up until it’s clear
Hahah I love it! If it's working, roll with it!
Bought a bait caster reel and thought to myself “I won’t get backlash it’s for losers😂” little did I know I became a loser but the second part saved my thank you so much for existing ❤❤❤😊
0:50 if i try long cast always back lash 😂
Hahah just have to practice man. I did too when I first started. Thanks for watching.
I haven't used a baitcaster in years so I got one today.
I'm sure I'll have to watch this video a few more times .
Thanks!
How to remove backlash: get a spinning rod
This is true. Different strokes for different folks I suppose 😂 Thanks for watching!
Working on my firsr baitcaster and was making great progress then after a hundred cast or so I got my first tangle and it was the v shape blocking it up and I was discouraged about it. Got it all back out and fixed thanks!!
That's awesome to hear. I still get them from time to time too. I hope my video has helped! Thanks for watching 👊
I bought my first baitcaster today and accidentally casted it right into a tree above me and I think I have the worst possible birdsnest...
That's awesome to hear man. Hope it helped you out. Thanks for watching!
All that and now your good for 1 more cast then repeat all over...NO THANKS!!!
Ive seen people pick at their backlashes in videos but never understood how to do it myself until now! This is a great explanation of how to take care of those nasty backlashes. Ive just done the push and twist method but I was unaware of the damage it does to my line. Thank you very much for the video and I will keep it in mind the next time I'm gettin my line wet.
Thanks for watching man and glad to help!
If I'm doing all this all day how do I have time for fishing. Just get a spinning reel man. Nice video tho.
Spinning reels still get line twists and wind knots. I firmly believe each setup is necessary for me. They may not be for everyone but if you use them, I hope this helps. If not, skip to my next vid 🤣😂 Thanks for watching man!
DEBO'S Fishing absolutely, Spinning reel for finesse and drop shotting, working a worm. Baitcaster for any swim or top water baits or getting into tight spots
Jackson Vang you only get a backlash if your brakes are loose spool tension is too loose or you don't keep pressure on the spool
Thank you for this video so much. Whenever I got backlash, I thought the only way to fix it was to just replace all of the line. You've definitely saved me some money.
That's awesome! I'm very happy that this helped you! Have a good weekend man!
DEBO'S Fishing I love succubus hentai
The down votes couldn’t get their backlashes out 🤣
🤣 I'm just thankful for all the thumbs up my man👊👊👊
Great tutorial on how to remove the inevitable backlash. I'm a beginner with a baitcaster and I'm sure it'll come in handy!
They happen to all of us. I hope the information in this video helps out! Thanks for watching!
absolutely the best video i've seen on getting out the dreaded backlash. Great series of all three videos.
Appreciate that a lot. Hope these vids helped you out!
bro your energy and humor is definitely why i subscribed. you information is top notch
Great advice. I agree about the dangers of the twist and turn. I cast after getting a backlash out that way and saw my Whopper plopper sail into the distance. Luckily I was able to locate the end of the line in the water and retrieve my lure.
Yikes! Yep, I've done it too. People severely underestimate the importance of keeping good line free of blemishes! Thanks for watching man!
i found your baitcaster Tips And Tricks after having a pretty bad day out on the water and losing 2 new lures as well as having the mother of all backlashes that was actually the deciding factor of me heading home. Thanks for the tips on removing the backlash now i can get back out on the water again when the sun comes out.
would like to learn more on baitcasting reels i am in my second year of fishing and i enjoy it alot i watch your videos alot and they are awesome
I've watched all 3 videos tonight and it has seriously helped me understand things a lot better, I even switched from mono to braid on my higher end set up thinking the braid would solve my issues turns out my problem wasn't mono at all it was how my brakes were set. Thanks a lot debo
