But what I absolutely adore is your smile, energy, and the way you ride that keyboard, like it’s part of you (hey, because it is). I’ve never heard such a lively and light-hearted version of this song, and it’s been around for a long while for others to try. It’s airy, fun, light, and driving. I can’t believe the switch in styles during the song (at least, it sounded like it), and it almost sounds like a full orchestra when you pull in the bass. I really appreciate that you showed what the hands are doing in a lot of it - although an accomplished performance, for me it's clearly accessible in terms of potentially re-creating it with my own hands, unlike, say, the performances of Jesús Molina or Art Tatum... though I keep thinking of that quote by Neil Peart: "I've heard the stories. Like, Eric Clapton said he wanted to burn his guitar when he heard Jimi Hendrix play. I never understood that because, when I went and saw a great drummer or heard one, all I wanted to do was practise." Thanks for sharing!
