Oh my word, that was pure beauty. Hearing her speak, listening to her mind, it always finds a way to my heart. When she sang Video Games and Born To Die, it brung tears to my heart. Not only because it's so nostalgic, but both songs speak to me and gives me two opposite emotions, but both strong in such striking ways. Those two songs will always hold a special place in my heart and mind, especially Video Games because nothing is more sentimental than bittersweet happiness. It was in those two moments that I really do know I'll always love Lana. It makes me sad to think I won't matter as much as she matter's to me, but that's the brilliance and pain of loving that we all have to live with. I don't think I'll ever meet a person with a mind and soul as brilliant as hers, but I know everyone has their own brilliance somewhere. Lana's happiness is my happiness, and that I know is love. Coming back to this years later, even though no one else may read this but me, who knows. But I just have to say, after meeting someone personally that I loved greatly, I was in no way short of the meaning of love. To love someone unconditionally, without limits, without boundaries, regardless of the circumstances, what you may or may not recieve from them, to love someone so much so their happiness is your happiness, to wish them nothing but happiness, because you know no matter what, they are a good person, a beautiful person on the inside and out, now that is love.
Hope Lana never ever stops doing what she's doing right now, which is giving all of us who "get" her something to relate to, to get lost in, & enjoy this journey right along with her. Thanks, Lana.
