- Haunted Places in the Cotswolds returns this year with a brand new tour: Starting with ghostly apparitions of armies in the sky above Edgehill, all the way down to the Roman city of Bath at the south of the Cotswolds. Along the way, we pass through hotspots like Burford, Bibury and Castle Combe - for a mixture of ghostly highwaymen, haunted hostelries and phantom hitchhikers.

@@tinahale9252A very rainy night with a crackling fire in the hearth. A hearty stew is served with freshly made brown bread.
I know I love him❤

I have been a huge fan of ghost and horror stories all my life. Now that I’m older and my eyes aren’t what they were, listening to audio books is my chosen medium. I have to say, your story telling is exquisite. I look forward to your tale of terror as we approach All Hallows Eve.
I sometimes don’t watch but listen as I find Robins story telling very easy to listen to. No big noises to distract and music is IN the background.
His Christmas ghost stories are my favorite of his work. I look forward all year to binge them
How readily is the picturesque transformed into a ghostly chill by the fading of the light. Nicely filmed and narrated. Thank you!
I've been a history enthusiast since I was a teen (when everything was considered 'old' by me) and these are just history lessons.
I live near St. Augustine, FL the oldest city in the United States. About 20+ years ago I bought a historica walking tour designed to give the history of local buildings, city gates, etc.
I found it interesting; but, the tours were sparsely populated; until, someone got the genius idea to sell them as "ghost tours". Then these tours became so popular they divided up the tours into TEN sections in the Old City! I bought a 'ghost tour' ticket and the only difference was if the tour was in the Spring, the tour guide would say, "Usually, in the winter time, the face of the original owner can be seen staring out of the north facing window" etc. 😁
It was the same old historical tour; but, the owners sold a lot more tickets AFTER they renamed it ghost tours.
We find the same with our channel - our historical stuff generates interest but the haunted stuff always goes crazy!
I am always amazed by the amount of ghost stories floating around in England, I could listen to them for hours, Thanks fellas and Happy Halloween 🎃🎃

I would love to be there tmrw evening to see if that battle plays out in the sky.
Can’t wait!! Set the notification-watching from Southern California 🖤🧡👻
I loved everything about this!!
The story of the apparitions of the Parliamentary and Royalist armies of the Civil War brought to mind, for me, the ghost army of the Oathbreakers from Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings; admittedly a somewhat superficial similarity, but that's where my mind went.
I love that idea of the souls of those lost on the battlefield being tied to war, and made to continually wage it, even beyond the grave: it's so eerie and heartbreaking.
Excellent video all around!
England has many haunted place, castle, beautiful landscape, old fashion uniform, and ancient architecture

Love watching this channel at this time of year. Although a Yorkshireman, I lived in Banbury from 2015 to 2017 and would regularly drive into the cotswolds and up to Edge Hill. I never did see anything though!

Once again you have excelled, like I said before you are in a league of your own. This was a special episode for me because I 15yrs reanacting English civil War battles in the English civil war society. Think that would make a great episode about English civil War ghosts from the cotswolds. Fantastic, a loyal subscriber I am, totally brilliant 👏
Excellent ghost stories once again Robin, long time sub from Rubery west Midlands 👍👻👻👻
I love this, having spent alot of time around Castle Bampton, Minster Lovell, Brize Norton etc, I can so relate to these amazing stories.

That story about the King's Oak I know! It is from Saducismus Triumphatus by Joseph Glanvil, 1681, a collection of ghost stories plus the very impressive teatrise by Dr. Henry More The True Notion of a Spirit, . All very nice stuff!

Hello Sir how have u been?. It is good to see u doing well. Thank u so much for uploading new story about Cotswold. Honestly i been waiting for a new story for this Halloween.
It was so short for a ghost video from you, I thought I hadn’t watched 😂!
HAPPY HALLOWE'EN from Canada!🍂🎃🍁🧙🏾🦇🎃🍂⚰️🍂
I understand the idea behind filming these areas after sunset; but, it's impossible to see the face of the speaker or any of the buildings. This may as well be a radio show. Try filming these in the late afternoon so those of us who do not live in England can see these beautiful old buildings. The host voice alone adds a chill to the story.
check out their channel. there are plenty of videos (non ghost stories) showing beautiful places in the Cotswolds during the day.
Strangely enough, this episode actually features the most day time shots - with the Woodstock section being the only piece shot after sun down 😊 definitely could have done better with the Edgehill section though, but we do our best under the circumstances 👌🏻
Robin, I'm curious to know if you have ever experienced any hauntings or paranormal activity in your travels across the Cotwolds?!
👌

Could you please tell me if there is a map of these little gem's to explore the areas I would like to have a copy of the places that he has covered, especially the haunted places and site's, where is the area that the woman highway man did the robbery all I recall of the story is that she grew bored and started robbing people. I like the station wagon that he was in who is the manufacturer of the vehicle.
This guy could narrate from a Windows 95 owners manual while English countryside footage played in the background and I would eat it up like I had a gun to my head.
Any chance of live Halloween readings?
Yep! 7pm on October 31st. We’ll be extending this episode with extra stories and reading a couple of classic ghost stories 👻
