This post was in my YT daily feed today, had not heard of it prior. I subscribed. On the Easton Press, I have some experience with them but it is limited. I bought the CS Lewis "space trilogy" several years ago, the titles being "Out Of The Silent Planet", "Perelandra" and, "That Hideous Strength". Quality was impeccable HOWEVER, there were some major misprint typos, repeating in nature, in two of the volumes. I contacted them about it, and they weren't sympathetic, nor interested in re-issuing with corrections. I spent quite a bit on this set, and was miffed to say the least. Still glad I got them as they are out of print at my last check, and as mentioned, impeccable binding/quality. That said, I shall be watching your channel going forward, as I watch and support any and all SF-related channels. Cheers.
I agree, I've had some issues with them in the past. It seems like they used to be better at customer service though. I'm glad you found the channel, looking forward to seeing you around!
Hothouse: I've never seen a copy in the wild. That Easton Press copy is nice. One book I love that no one ever mentions is "We All Died at Breakaway Station" by Richard C. Meredith
I love Easton press. I have been on and off again collecting E.P. books since 2001 with my first being a clockwork orange. I just added the 5 volume set of Tolkien and now going to order this set of sci-fi series next!
Thanks for the Excel spreadsheet! I downloaded it and counted 90 books that I've read. I noticed several interesting and strange things about the choices Easton Press made, some of which may have been caused by problems with reprinting rights, and others simply through differences of opinion. 1) No Brave New World. Not only superb SciFi, but surely one of the most important books of the 20th century. 2) No The Stars My Destination. IMO, The Demolished Man is very good, but Stars is better. 3) The choice of Dandelion Wine, and not The Illustrated Man, is interesting. 4) IMO, Tarzan and Rosemary's Baby aren't really SciFi, but what the heck. 5) No The Dying Earth, no 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (arguably the best Verne novel), no Slaughterhouse Five (IMO better than The Sirens of Titan), and no Barrayar (the first in a great series). All in all, though, a wonderful list, I'm getting busy reading the other 50.
90 is outstanding! Yes, I agree some of the selections are interesting. I feel this is a good broad base of science fiction, I'll definitely be reading outside this list to reach all the other good stuff that is out there. Thanks for the recommendations!
Living in a far away land close to the North Pole, I have never heard of these of course, and I probably never will see them in the flesh. Nice talk. Talking about collecting, I've managed to aquire a copy of all the books in first ed. Orion SF Masteworks series. Great fan of colourful papaerback covers. Cheers! (Liked & subbed)
I lived in Fairbanks/North Pole for 3 years (1995-1998). Lived in Alaska for 25 years, so I understand living in the desolate arctic. Collecting books is fun, I really like a lot of the art work in these older books. Thanks for joining the channel!
I agree, Easton Press books have a bit of old time appeal but I prefer old paperbacks with great art, as you can see from my bookhauls. It's really just a great list of books to read. Thanks for the comment.

That Tolkien set is amazing. They do a really good job overall for collectable books.

Thank you. I prefer to find the first paperback editions of these classics but Eastons are beautiful books as well.

Is the Easton Press version of Frankenstein the 1818 original or the 1831??

I must admit that these fancy pants editions don’t appeal to me-I prefer my classic SF in paperback with wild cover art.
