Showing a physical copy of Sun and Steel is such a flex honestly XD
the fact that he’s like sort of embarrassed talking about books makes this vid so heckin wholesome
I would love for Felix to partly return to some of his more serious formats of videos. He really seems to enjoy just having fun with memes right now and this is great, but goddamn he can deliver some unique thoughts when talking deeply about social events or culture. I think he did a lot of that in 2015, and then all the pressure and controversy kinda forced him into permanent "all sarcastic" mode
i don't think he feels pressure at all to stop making meme/sarcastic videos. i wouldn't even say he's that sarcastic in his meme videos, but he makes sure to give his genuine opinion on more serious series like pew news (which he uploads very frequently) he made book reviews a monthly series this year and he's talked about other things like fashion and cooking. he pretty much talks about whatever interests him and he probably wouldn't enjoy pumping out a serious book review or fashion review on a weekly basis - he'll make a video on it when he wants to.

Reading broadens the horizon on so many levels and you can really dive into the existential questions of our existence and our condition. I also agree on reading fiction! My fave from the last I've read was Paul Auster's New York Trilogy. It has some lengths in it but is totally worth reading. An incredible examination of the question of self and identity.
