Dang Earl is still so fast and accurate. His skill is holding up way way better then almost all former greats of the same age, but his mentality/confidence is what gets him these days which is understandable.
He's had 40 years of awesomeness dude literally has had everything moments, unreasonable anger, happiness, sadness, disappointed, super excited, big losses, huge legendary wins, and one of the objective best champions and accomplishments overall in history. I highly recommend anything with him from like 1985 right to this day!.
somehow we need audiences for the game to be more well known. Most pro players play in pool clubs with lot of distractions so they usually get along with it. Some pool player play really good when not having much audiences, but will be less good when having a lot people watching.
OK... wow... I think Earl has redeemed himself and has actually moved toward being more of a gentleman. In the past I have seen him walk away from the winner. Now I see good sportsmanship. Maybe someone he cares about said something to him. Maybe JF Flowers told him that if he wants to keep their sponsorship that he needed to tone down a bit. Maybe he told himself. Old age has a mellowing effect. All the extensions and thumb tapes in the world does not change our short lived destinies. Was he wearing three shirts? Oh that's just a long wrist band I guess.
Your "has now won 7 of the last nine racks" is not true. The score was 6 - 1 Soquet leading. Then Earl started running racks (nope), but then for him to have 7 in a row, the score would now be 7 - 6, Earl leading. Since Soquet moved up one to seven, when it was 6 -1, it is impossible for Earl to have run 7 racks in a row. Maybe you meant 6 racks. Edit... Now I see what he said. 7 OF the last nine. OK
I like Earl.. he shows passion for the game and speaks whats on his mind. He doesnt give a f , todays pool need a players like him who have character and emotions , not just moving around the table like robots!
Love how he said "That was like Efren." Meaning he thought it was lucky and that Efren is lucky. Earl's kick bank was 100% luck. Efren's shots are not luck. Earl has had this problem describing Efren for years.
@1:13:32 Earl got lucky on a shot and said "that looked like Efren" 😂 He later said he watches that replay all the time.
@@RichardsWorld Earl is a five times US Open champion and maybe the greatest 9 ball player ever! I highly doubt its a luck..
Wonderful match! Great playing!
Congrats Ralf and Earl's control, I think you earned (both) respect.
Hell of a match. These guys should be celebrated for keeping their games in tact all these years. If only Earl could learn the break
I can listen to Jeremy Jones commentary all day! 9:58 - learned something!
Please bring back the orange 5🧡
The fact that these two ate still on top of their game at their age is remarkable

Scott Frost is great in the booth...the. Jolly good telly is great too
Ralf He is my idol
Which camera system are they using ? I want to buy a good camera for recording and live streaming matches.
What a match
@Plaza_and_Mote Try staying a wake.
I think I may be in love with Earl Strickland…

I could have a bro-mance with him if he'd teach me how to shoot, lol.
So many distractions. Baby’s crying. Phones ringing. Music playing. Seems odd.

Most of the background noise is more or less unavoidable but they could have easily done without the music.
This is the old school version of Van Boening vs Filler

Lol, Mika actually needs to learn it from Earl now. Dont know why Mika the iceman has become really hot lava right now.
they ruining tables they just keep making pockets tighter and tighter they should have stopped at 4 and half
Souquet might of won,but j-c he puts me to sleep ,going watchin him and he goes around that table like a squirrel.
Ralf souquet desde cuando jugando taco abajo todo los video juega taco arriba hasta para templar
21:39 New LD shaft got Earl?
Earl got smoked 🚬 😮💨
That one game Earl was out, but missed really hurt him. I was hoping he would prevail despite that…. Good match anyway!
Sad to see how the game is changing, pockets and break… And Earl is stuck in his old game 😕
He’s just old 🤷🏼♂️
You have no clue just like the idiot who commented below
@@michaelrusso8182The guy is now 63 years old.. i mean come on cut him some slack. Take the players from today back in the 80s and he will smash them!
Doesn't anyone even mention Efren rayed? Shame
I think if cue ball touches the rail on the break, should be considered foul.! Cut break bs
Earl's an A$$!!

Even when he has self control, Strickland is too annoying.

The only time I like watching Earl is when he loses . Guy is an asshole

Even if you do one crazy shot 10 times and make 5, you still need luck to be on your side to make it on the first try in a match dont u think?
@cosmicraysshotsintothelight
cry somewhere else JR
I love watching Strickland lose….
Ur a miserable human I'm sure
@Plaza_and_Mote According to his RUclips channel......NOTHING. 🤣🤣🤣
get a life and a job boomer
I love watching him win, good thing he had like 35 years of that.
Spoiler Alert....
It's always fun watching Earl get upset and lose.
And it was 9.8 finish 😂😂
he was literally very respectful and calm after the match
came here just to see Earl rant😂
