Part two of my vlog series covering me building a diorama for the NECA Aliens action figures inside of a Walmart Mainstays book shelf. In this episode I put my new Prusa Mini 3D printer to work making various props for the display.

Hi! Great work on your dio! I love all the work and the detail you put in! Like you, Aliens is my favorite movie! While watching you make the stands for the stasis tubes- first, you are right; the tubes Neca gave us is too tall compared to the movie. Also, it may not help at this point in your build, but some interesting info related to what Cameron used in the movie. Turns out, the stands are a gyroscopic gun sight off of a WWII Canadian anti-aircraft machine gun. You can also see the same stands in the interior of the APC as well. Looking forward to seeing more of your diorama progress!

i started a hive diorama shelf thing earlier this year, and NOW i find this video and omg. im so gonna have to make my whole shelf alien/aliens themed

You should put either Windex or blue dish soap to get the blue effect for the cylinders with facehuggers.

@@OutsideTheBoxReviews You're definitely winning the prize there. I like how you're thinking on your feet and solving problems fast. I seen a video on RUclips with a guy making a custom Gorman figure. I can't remember that much about it other than he used the body from a Neca Kick Ass Colonel Stars And Stripes. It turned out quite well as I recall. Can't remember what head he used though.
Maybe get some cardboard and tin foil and make a metallic door being busted down by the aliens.

hey, we work with the tools that are available to us. And if technology evolved enough to allow us to make cooler and more accurate stuff, why not take advantage of it?
I bought a 3d printer specifically for making pieces i need that I don't feel like carving out of foam.
