Have you tried uv resin? maybe you can use it for the veins inside the eggs, really thin and it may pop up the paint under or even mix it with paint before and extend those thin veins giving it texture and glossy look, then use the uv flashlight to dry it.
I have never used uv resin before, but have seen others use it. I didn't think about it for this project but that's a really good idea. Thanks!
