One GREAT drummer legend, Jimmy Cobb, Here with other GREATS in MUSIC, Paul Chambers bass and Wynton Kelly piano (all played with Miles Davis!) in a groovy version of "A Clear Day"
I still cannot awaken to the fact i met Sir Charles Thompson in Toronto ,Canada. We became friends and spent hours with him telling me about the days he played with Bird, Miles and the other kings !!...Years later i was reading the paper to learn he had passed. Rest in peace my freind Sir Charles Thompson !!
Jimmy Cobb died on May 24, 2020, at the age of 91. He was one of many long-lived jazz musicians who have lived to be octogenarians or nonagenarians. I think their longevity has to do with the rhythms of the music--music as the healing force of the universe.
Indeed! Doctors should recommend "play jazz every day to keep the doctor away" haha. Jazz is intimately connected to the Universe and its laws. Check out "The Jazz of Physics".

Terrific, tight and swinging. And what a lovely thought by Mr. Cobb to honor his superb old rhythm buddies Wynton and Paul
The last great legendary master from Miles Quintet has gone on jazz planet. His muzik legacy will still remain.
