One of the nicest commercials I've seen in a very long time.

She took her allowance to the animal shelter as a donation today.
This commercial did its job.

hard to believe this commercial, 3 years later still brings me to tears.... one of the most effective spots i have ever seen.... unfortunately i had state farm insurance once... like a good neighbor they are not.....

I work for State Farm and I'm now more proud than ever. It's just as simple as finding one person a day in your local community and reaching out to them and talking, helping, uplifting them.
This commercial had me in tears for a little. amazing how a commercial can be so heartwarming 😔😪

I am so proud to work for State Farm. This isn’t just marketing crap. They incentivize and encourage us to volunteer and give back - and we do! I love this company!
State Farm has some of the most caring people. Me, my brother and sister were out stranded in the cold locked in front of our apartment, and these women from State Farm brought us State Farm jackets and hot chocolate because we were so cold. I can honestly say they are one of my favorite companies.
Unfortunately, nice as this commercial is, one person can't help everyone. We all need to work together as a people to help.
Mga pope That's exactly what the video is trying to say, at the end of the video he decides to begin volunteering at a mentoring center. He is unable to help all those who need him but he IS able to help the child.
Precisely. No one can do everything, but everyone can do something. In his case, he helped the mentoring center. Me, I'm a sucker for cute animals, so I would have adopted the dog. If everyone helped out with one thing, a lot of the problems in the world would disappear.
It's chill fam. I can't do anything about your situation and it may be hard for you to do anything as well. If I were you, I'd just ask my parents to talk to the school. They'll talk to the kids parents. No parents want their kids to be a bully.
I am sorry to hear about the bullying. You are right - at 14 you have your whole life ahead of you. The teenage years are the worst, and things will get better as you get older. The bullies need not win. Stay strong and hang in there.

Well, the song supports the story and message. It all works as one piece. The original version was popular, but I bet it would have been well received even if this was the first version people ever heard.
This is a great program - I am a retired SF employee. These commercials point to a real program to encourage folks to volunteer across the country. The commercials are exciting when a new one comes out - our CEO makes a point to jump in right after the commercials are played to employees - and morale definately goes way up. Our CEO is a local guy from a really little town - I taught his brother when I was a high school teacher, and knew both dad and mom very well as they came to our church. The commercials and the program are supported by management and with company $$$$
Wow! wow! wow! tears are pouring out of my eyes, her deeply soulful, emotional voice did that. I love her voice and her cover of this song immensely! And will definitely do much more to help more precious children and good people who are less fortunate than us. Much Love, Joy, Peace, Health, Happiness to all children and people and animals too everywhere that are in pain & suffering from lost of loved ones(death), hunger, cancer, illnesses, diseases, disabilities, physical abuse, sexual abuse, poverty, addiction, depression, sadness, loneliness, bullying, mental illness etc.
I don't usually seek out a commercial on RUclips to watch again, but this is one of them. The creator of this video needs an award. (Tears!)

7 years later and this commercial still stands out to me like the first time I've seen it when I was 15 (I'm 22 now). I've never seen a commercial have so much impact and emotion. The acting, the music, the lyrics, the aesthetic. It's all just so perfect. God bless
I'm crying. I wasn't until I whispered "don't let me down." I don't know why. But now I can't stop listening to the song. It's so important to know what others go through and what we can do to help. When I'm a little older imma join a community center to help.
Absolutely love this commercial. The message, the way it was delivered, the music; it was all perfect. State Farm hit a home run. If I didn't volunteer already, I'd want to go out and volunteer now.

Great commercial. If this commercial does anything is makes you ask yourself; if not me, then WHO; if not now, then WHEN? DO SOMETHING, these problems will not fix themselves and every one of us is but three steps from being that homeless person with a sign saying please help.
I saw this commercial and it actually did inspire me. i'm volunteering at a local hospital tomorrow for the first time

Actually the commercial is telling this guy how to help two things right away. Adopting a pet out of a shelter for the veteran connects two lonely beings. A lot of our veterans have risked their lives to serve this country overseas and they often come back home to a country that has forgotten them. Pets for Vets is one program that works to match up animals and veterans.
So many homeless vets won't go to a shelter because of their no-pets policy. (this has to change) "Choosing to live homeless" because it's not really a choice, because like Baghdad Pups says, "no buddy gets left behind." There are organizations now getting started to help them.
This is the first commercial that made me cry and think about my life for a second.

Refreshing commercial when every company is trying to find the least common denominator. Thank you State Farm for showing Pepsi, Audi, and the rest how an Ad can still have a purpose more than just trying to appeal to some cause to sell their product or service and truly be heart felt.

I burst into tears viewing this commercial the first time. Nothing has EVER so perfectly described what it's like to live in my head 24-7-365. Which is one of the reasons why I volunteer at the Humane Society, why I volunteer tutor, why I do random acts of kindness for others....
The weight of caring is a real thing. Doing good to try to put some love back into the universe is one of the things that keep me sane. (That and avoiding the news.)

Respect the vets, as one myself I don't ask for things.. discounts or praise. I chose to participate in helping our freedoms. Please.. if you see or cross paths with one who is troubled or homeless, money helps but a simple hand shake or a hug, even a thanks does miles. I do it every day, cheers all.

Made me think of this. The best action is giving our time and sacrificing what we have to love others. Our time is limited here on earth and when we choose to give someone our time, that is time we will never get back! Love others first above all else.

I wrote this a couple hours ago...and came here to find the commercial to show my husband. I thought id share. i know ill get nasty comments. thats ok. this is something jesus spoke to me as i saw this commercial for the first time earlier tonight.
I heard in my spirit..Jesus say "This is how I feel, about my people. I hear and see their crys and their pain and I reach out to help them. I hurt for them and want to help them in thier problems and trials. I cry when they cry...and I want them to know I offer them hope. I offer them freedom. I rejoice over the ones that accept me..and I weep over those who do not. But just as the man walked to the outreach center in the commercial that place was put there for others to come to. They were told of this place. They were told of this hope. So should those whove already accepted me and know my hope, Know that there is light in the darknes and know that I shed my blood to save them. My hope should be told to those who are in need of me.
Wow. He says to go an be a light...to share the good news. What a BEAUTIFUL reminder. Now go watch that commercial again....youll see it in a different light. Gonna dry my face now. Im thankful someone shared Jesus with me. And Ill make it a point to "share" him with others more.

I've been looking for the longer version of this for like 5 years!!! If you can find it, please, please, please link it here. But anyway. Even though this is the shorter version.. this inspires the way I live my life. I feel too anxious and hopeless to do anything most of my time, on most of my days. But I love the idea that doing anything for even one cause, is a huge deal. That's a huge difference. It's like the starfish allegory. "It made a difference for that one."
