I’m so thankful you guys are here. I sold a good number of these guitars right before the big switch. The first couple of vintage 3 dreads I got had to have neck resets immediately upon arrival. Having you guys here, making sure the guitars are 100% after the boat ride, is a game changer.
I’ve been a saying this for about 5 years. These are the best guitars on the planet. I’ve got 3 I’ll never sell. Furch will be known as THE acoustic to buy in the next 10 years….
Hope we can meet one day. I might just have to start selling these again.

When I used to write for Acoustic Magazine, before it shut down, I was lucky enough to be in Brno for a work trip. I sent a couple of emails, to my editor and to the company, and was fortunate enough to be taken on a tour of the factory by Petr Furch personally. Saw every part of the facility, from the wood store up to finishing, and then went to dinner too. A day or two later I spent a happy couple of hours in a big acoustic store in central Brno, and loved what I played. Petr aspires to be like Taylor, but I honestly rate his guitars significantly higher, spec for spec never mind dollar for dollar. He also enjoyed telling me how the PLEK salesman came to visit, ran the machine over a guitar off the shelf, and apparently said "Well, it seems like you don't need a PLEK"

i love the Furch story. I have an OM31-SR (2014). The build and craftmanship is as fine as any US make. The voice is distinct, bright with an upper mid resonance. I studied the bracing on the inside and concluded that one significant difference is how Furch shapes two of the main back braces to a very fine thickness.

After playing Taylors for 25 years I couldn't believe I'd go for another brand. However, once I'd played the Red MC SR it was quite mindblowing: sound and playability were at higher level than the 814 CE -and at lower price! So I purchased it without hestitation.

2 days ago I received my Red Master's Choice in sunburst finish. I own Martins, Taylors, and Gibsons and this guitar, I have to agree with the consensus that it kicks Taylor's a$$. I have a Taylor 614CE with a flamed maple back and sides (3piece back) and although it is still a great sounding guitar, the finish always disappointed me. to add more info because ive been nerding over Furch and wanting to buy one for a long time
bracing patterns are specific to each body shape, no difference between color series and vintage
    very thin scalloped x bracing
tops they dont exactly disclose how theyre tuned, but afaik its computerised to lower costs ( seems to work well, cant complain )
necks are bolt ons, with carbon cased truss rod, so more rigidity than traditional truss rods ( check out driftwood guitars video their electric guitar and carbon rod on the neck, it doesnt have a truss rod because of how rigid the carbon rod is )
UV finish, i guess they just didnt want to mess with nitro or have poly
cant confirm this but ive seen an interview with the ceo in which he says they dont use normal frets, rather a slightly harder metal, again cant confirm

Careful of the stupid backpack though, my Little Jane got cracked in numerous spots - no protection at all, and I'm super careful! Proud owner if a Vintage 2D rs-sr for over a year and I'm so happy I bought it. Larrivee or Taylor were on the short list. But comparing them to my Furch (and Martin) the Furch won out. I was surprised how much guitars can sound different depending where your ear is compared to the sound hole. As in, playing it yourself vs another playing it. Mine really projects well and has a the perfect blend of note distinction vs the notes sitting well together. (I'm a Furch evangelist now)

They have actually been in North America for a long time. When they first came, they were called Stonebridge. It was explained to me that it was felt that “Furch” wouldn’t work well in English speaking countries, so they named the North American line after a famous stone bridge in Prague. The S on the headstock is the exact same font as the F on the Furchs. They got them into the hands of various finger style instrumentalists, you can see Antoine Dufour playing one in some of his earlier videos. I got a used Stonebridge GS23CR, a 2008, which is pretty much the same as that yellow guitar you played, cedar top, indian rosewood back and sides. It was a good price because no one knew what it was when I bought it. It’s a spectacular guitar, it rings, it fingerpicks beautifully. I have a friend who has a boatload of custom made guitars, and it stands up to all of them, in my opinion. I’ve played a number of other Furchs and Stonebridges, and they never disappoint.

Sheesh... Makes me miss my Furch hard... My only issue is their necks are so suited for fingerstyle that they just feel too wide for my hand as I get toward the upper frets/heel, so they're just a bit uncomfortable for me to play... I wish they made some models with a skinnier neck all the way...

Jeremy, you have experienced what I hope for you was a mind blowing experience playing those instruments I have 2 blue grand Auditorium models, a 6 and 12 string, and these are the finest guitars at these price points (and higher). Each is voiced and the technology in the neck construction is outstanding. Workmanship is second to none and can say that obtaining these guitars of mine ( which wasn't easy ... hard to find) ended my acoustic guitar acquisition syndrome.

Liked the video, feel bad for Taylor guitars as these Furch are nearly identical and since they are made overseas I'm sure they are less expensive than an American made Taylor.

the bracing patter is unique to each body shape, x bracing scalloped
theres no difference in bracing between a color series and a vintage, only the aesthetics

Imported Guitars are nothing new and aren’t new pudding -but it’s cool to see them coming from a whole new Region. -Great American Vintage Acoustics are coveted more than ever-and the price for just a 1950s Gibson LG-2 is huge $$$.

He is a fantastic player and just releasing a new album. Jeremy just YT his name. I'm not wasting your time, seriously !

I do wonder why Furch doesn't do a Blue Plus with spruce and sapele; that would directly compete with the Taylor 314. They do cedar/mahogany and spruce/walnut, but spruce/mahogany is a tried and tested combination. And yeah, much sweeter sounding than most Taylors, which go all out for brightness, maybe to be heard clearly in a mix and to solve amplification problems without ending up with a nasty, tinny sound.

The neck is a bolt on, + there’s an aluminium casing on the lower heel, + carbon casing on the truss rod
Bolt on just easier maintenance, the aluminium does nothing ( they say it avoids neck resets )
And the carbon casing is the star, making the whole neck way stiffer
