So this is the last cover that I filmed at Drum Channel this time around. I've always really loved playing a wide variety of genres, and like to focus on different things in each song. Wether it's creativity, technicality, groove etc.. With this song by Switchfoot, I really love the feel- the pocket is so tight, the groove is simple, and the words captivate me. I didn't want to change anything about it. I had the most trouble getting through this song out of the 3. I was really tired at this point, and kept messing up. I've always done all of my videos in one take, and sometimes it takes for.EVER. haha Once we made it to the 2nd chorus of this take, I knew it was gonna be ok ha ;) So we took this one and rolled with it! Man, you don't just drum well, you drum with great groove and excellent confidence. You would have great stage presence if you were on tour with a big act, or add a lot of vibe to an album. Good on you for choosing this career. I don't think that many people have a viable shot of making a decent living at music, but I would say you do. Stay focused, stay grounded and we will follow you!

Most drums covers I see are people just going into a long solo and that gets old pretty quick. As a drummer myself I appreciate the fact that you just provide a slightly different take from the original!
