Clear Skies - IL-2: Great Battles Cinematic | 23 December, 1944

December, 1944 - Due to poor weather during the opening days of the Battle of the Bulge, pilots of the USAAF were unable to provide strong air support for the Allied troops fending off the German Army. Low on food and ammunition, the defenders encircled in the town of Bastogne, Belgium wait out the blizzards. When the sun rose on the morning of December 23rd, there was not a cloud in sight. The relief mission would begin shortly.
