@@MaxAfterburnerusa Good to hear. I never bought the "he might reveal classified tactics" impediment that some talked about. On the police side, we work with ex tier-1 Army and Navy guys who do training all the time. They can do CQB stuff with cops w/o security clearance with no issue. They just do the basics. Executed to perfection.

I'm gonna say what a lot of people are probably gonna think if they read your comment. Sorry to tell you, but I'm fairly certain Longshot and GS would wipe the floor with them. Granted, I think I need to watch a bit more of gator and max to get a better gauge on them. This video in particular doesn't bode well for having a good fight. Max running out of ammo on the 1st fight and barely trying (or actually trying) to defend on the 2nd was kinda pitiful imo.
GS has done extraordinary things with the F-14 in DCS, against aircraft it should have no business fighting against.

Hey, I was watching your videos! The content is awesome, but I noticed that your facecam looks great in 4K, but the gameplay looks a bit lower in quality, which is probably due to the recording settings being a bit too low in resolution or bitrate. To make the gameplay as sharp as your facecam, I’d suggest increasing both the resolution and bitrate. If you're recording in 4K, you’ll want to raise the bitrate to something higher to get better detail and clarity.
Also, just a heads-up-if you’re streaming, you can have different settings for streaming and recording. Streaming often requires lower settings (like lower resolution and bitrate) to avoid lag, but for recordings, you can go with much higher quality to get the best results. If you need help with setting those up, I’d be happy to guide you, or there are plenty of tutorials on RUclips that can walk you through it.
And since you’ve got a 4090, I’d recommend using AV1 for 4K recordings-it’s super efficient and will give you great quality at lower bitrates.

I used to play Jane's USAF and F-22 LIghtning 3 when I was in 6th grade, picked up Ace Combat 7 (which I know is probably a joke to the DCS community), and since then I've been feeling the tug back into flight sims. This content has been so incredibly fascinating to watch. Can't wait to dig into more.

Hey man, the RJ Simtech wireless head tracker is amazeballs. Works great with TrackIR, more accurate and smooth tracking plus no wires. Battery lasts appx 6 hrs and can run while being charged. Made my 9x shots on the Viper so much easier
Max, you & Gator running out of fuel brings a question to mind. It didn't happen in this fight, but IRL - how likely are fighter pilots to actually jettison external tanks while in a dog fight, or on a mission?
I Dont do DCS, i do flight stuff in VR Chat which some of the worlds are becoming really good.
I'm able to use what i know about the F14 tomcat to take on all kinds of stuff, like even people skilled with the F22 or F35 still have me, "Viper" as a threat.

Did a demo run with a hornet in MFS2024 from Donetsk to Luhansk. Was hoping I'd run into some other players IRL. Hopefully we go back to ISS type diplomacy but if we're stuck in this climate for a few more years it'll be neat to meet up with actual Russians online in each other's simulated airspace. I've lived in rural Montana most of my life (my dad still buys his groceries on Malmstrom) so I'm used to the distance but just looking at all of the ground you'd have to cover between those two cities I'm starting to think 90% of modern warfare is SIGINT.
What are those glasses you're wearing? they move and track like VR but super lightweight
the glasses are just looks but the three prongs on the side of the headset are lights that are tracked by a camera. it works like 2d vr, if you want to get into flight sim i recommend it. its called track ir 5

I don't want to be difficult. From my understanding both those maneuvers where not Cobra's.
Boss, its really hard to feel the energy state and how hard w are pulling, since there is no cue, no buffet or G's , what really helped me was a Buttkicker, its night and day, specially feeling the buffet , give it a try.
If i could start life over id do everything i could to be a Fighter pilot...... flying at super fast speed among the clouds in the beautiful blue and starry night skies.... maybe ill get a private pilots license someday like my grandfather.. he was air traffic controller and picked it up during time training in the UK......... Whats so cool is how some former fighter pilots buy out and fly private decommissioned fighter planes. Must be a pain though maintaining it and expenses flying it.

You were toying with him so hard. But its his own fault he was entering turn fights and losing his speed then turning out of them as if it he was going to just jet off after getting so slow you could cook him. The F-16 has a secret sauce of optimal turn speeds of 300 and he was letting you get right into that window and you were just smoking a cigarette waiting for him to come into the sights.
Very entertaining fight. So when are you gonna fight Mover, a fellow F-16 pilot? Another question: When are you gonna jump into the Phantom? I'd love to see either/or. Love your channel!

Oh man, this is awesome. I’m an F/A-18 simmer in DCS. No real experience but would love to be fodder to someone with real skills! Use VR and have a whole stick and throttle setup.
