This is incredibly captivating and moving. I find that we INFPs have a crushingly deep desire to love and be loved, and we end up feeling deep sorrow because that’s not how the world works. We are intensively sensitive, and the world doesn’t accommodate to our sensitivity, but rather, punishes us for it.
And this, in part, brings us sorrow and moodiness. Ah, what a life! 👍😭

This tribute made me cry.... a bit. I've always been a dreamer. Almost believed that fantasy really do exist in this world but while growing up, the world becomes hostile to me and I feel like sometimes my parents are not aware that I am a dreamer. I sometimes envy other INFPs who are so daring, true, and free-spirited because I've always held back when I get misunderstood. Ooh I said to much haha. Thanks for this! :)

I use to think I'm awkward, different and negative. When I heard what some people think about me, it made me realize how self critical I am with myself. As an infp-t, I want to grow and learn but fail most of the time- and it's hard to get up but hopefully I can learn to take care of my self and realize I'm not as bad as I think I am.

@@linguisticsnerd433 It takes practice and patience with ourselves, but we can do it! I find journaling, having a creative outlet and DEFINITELY volunteer work helps a lot with connecting our dream world with the real world, and seeing our strengths in the real world. When you make your best qualities actionable and material, it's easier to see how awesome we actually are :)

I just really want all the good Infp's in the world, in all time line and in fictional stories. To have some sort of meeting and interact with each other. I really wonder how it'll go? I'm pretty sure we'll start saying the things that we're passionate about, talking about our personal life, how much this world had broke us, and plus I'm 100% sure we won't judge each other. It'll be such a wholesome meeting :')

I felt such an empty void my whole life, until I met my best friend 2 years ago (we both are infp) and it is exactly how you describe it. It is like magic. I can't even imagine if we had a massive reunion what it would feel like, it would be like heaven on earth.
That would be such comfortable, soothing meeting ❤❤
There would be much to discuss in the comfort of silence of each other's company.
Next minute we're all rambling, interacting, sympathising, understanding each other and mostly judge-free zone. And we would discuss plans on how we want to make the world a better place and save others

Loved the video. As an INFP myself, I always felt there is a sad and melancholic side in all INFPs. We want to love and be loved, that's why we are so easily hurt by unfairness and rudeness.
My mom always says to me that i should stop being a dreamer that i will get hurt because people and life's not like that and it hurts, because it's not, but this is me.
I fully understand the melancholic aspect of infps, we always expect things, from us and other, but I know we'll find people who try to understand us. :)
@@valeriaperez9427 I know, my mother used to say that I shouldn’t expect anything from anyone because I would just get disappointed. She passed away already and now what I think is that she was just being protective with me because she herself was a dreamer and knew what she was talking about, but what I think is that nobody can save you from your own destiny so let your intuition guide you in this journey.
@@dianac113 I think your totally right, about our moms being a dreamer themselves and not wanting us to get hurt as meybe they got. Telling me to follow my intuition was very infp of you hahaha, i always try to, but when you have anxiety following it is no that easy when your mind overshadows your heart, and that aspect is also very infp tho.

As an INFP who lives in the woods and relies on nature for sanctuary and substance. I have cried to the trees for all they have given me. Without asking . I went thru a bad time and a Hermit Thrùsh spent weeķs with me. I never feĺt so blessed. Its as if it knew it was saving me. If you are hurting there are angels all around you. Hopefully INFP your open to seeìng love comes in many forms.. Trust me there are things and people who need you. Im like my Hermit Thrush I come out of hiding to lift others and return back to my sancuary to dream about a perfect world where reality can't exist.

Watching this at two am made me oddly emotional (which I think speaks to just how much of an infp I am). It never ceases to amaze me how a series of images, scenes, and snippets of music can perfectly encapsulate my mental space at any given time. Thank you for providing one here, the song choice is ridiculously perfect.
A lot of these were (and still are) my comfort characters when I was a child, even when I didn't know what exactly a comfort character was. Each character lives in my mind, like a dear old friend. Sometimes, I will refer to them in casual conversations like they are real people, and I find this rather beautiful.

this comment section honestly gives me so much warmth. i am an infp and has an infp best friend who makes me feel comfortable the most. now this comment section really proves how fellow infps give me such such warmth that I honestly feel home. you guys feel so much like home.
I did not expect it, but I slightly cried. Don’t do it lately. This is our essence. I love the thought I am not alone with such perception. Recently I’ve understood that I kind of keep my infp self inside in comfy warmth under the guard, letting out at the important moments, whereas outside I have formed this facade of entp, who interacts and survives in difficult circumstances. I don't know exactly how this design came about. But I understand the significance of infp heart, yet you should protect it to save it.
And also I feel this driving wild energy of entp, sometimes aggression, this is something naturally coming from inside at the appropriate time. Yet sometimes I even get scared that this shit can come out when it is not needed and I can hurt people 🥲
(its just that my extroverted/introverted and feeling/thinking scales are about in the middle, slightly inclining to introverted feeling, maybe that is why)
I'm so glad I was able to watch this video. It warmed my heart with the fact I'm not alone in this world. As an INFP I feel like I'm very sensitive, curious and somehow feel emotions on a deeper level than other people, I can literally cry of happiness, sadness and anger. Because of my emotions people have been telling me I'm too childish and to stop caring. When someone is teasing me for fun I think they do it seriously and I really don't want to feel like it. But also what I love about myself is my empathy, originality and moral values. Sometimes I feel like I'm crazy but I'm slowly learning to accept the way I am
Also the fact that Tyler from tøp is INFP like me makes me want to meet him even more. Twenty one pilots it's my favorite band since 2018 and when I have the chance I'll go to their concert

I totally agree with what you said I am the same way. I’m also an INFP, I’ve liked them ever since I was 5 (I’m almost 13 now). My brother made me love them (he’s a fan too) and I feel like when I was younger I just liked the background music but now I focus on the lyrics and try to relate to what he is singing about. They’re by far the best band ever.
this made me cry cause as an infp I'm so misunderstood , taking advantage of and unappreciated . I'm extremely sensitive and kind which makes me suffer in this cruel world . I'm so into movies , poetry , music , dancing , I have my ow n world and it's so different when it meets the real world , I feel dissapointed and down because it doesn't match what i thought it would be in my head .

I never fit into any friendgroup growing up and today I still struggle, I always fantasize of another world where I'm happy or things that satisfy me, as an INFP seeing everyone relate to me makes me feel, well smile to my face

That was beautiful. It spoke to me and my desire to be appreciated, cared for, and just have a place in this messed up world. I’m not sure if any other INFPs feel this way (I’m the only one in my school), but I often feel like I’m a background character in someone else’s story, instead of the main character of my own. I feel like I’m forgotten and misunderstood. Almost like a dandelion in a field of daffodils. And this video spoke to all of that, while reminding me that there are others who feel the same and I’m not alone in this. Thank you!

I keep re-watching this, over and over. I found it like... Two days ago? I played it twice when I first found it, once yesterday, and this is my second time today. It's just so comforting and validating, and it's amazing because half of the people in this were already my biggest inspirations.

As an infp, I am a very accepting person when it comes to... A lot- especially things that are viewed upon as vulgar or weird. I just don't understand what reason there is to think badly of certain things...

This was so interesting.... all of these characters and celebrities- there are so many that I considered to be my favorite characters of a book or series, and I now realize its because I relate to them in some way, about their ideals or train of thought.
Maybe out of context, but growing up i always wondering why everybody else cannot be like me, i like to really listen when someone is talking to me, or telling their feelings, infp kind of thing. But when it's my turn i feel like they dont carefully listen amd just giving their opinion right away. I'm scared that i'm gonna be just like them cause i socialize with them
Along with all the random stuff RUclips recommends, every once in a while it recommends a gem such as this video, I'm an INFP, and not having the best time of my life now and for the past, well.. Year or so, and I can't say I am magically better because of this video, but, watching this the first time almost made me cry' every time I see this video (probably watched it more than 10 times by now) I get emotional, happy sad hopeful I have chills can't really put it into words, you infps will know what feeling I'm talking about, through this video I was introduced to the amazing AURORA shes an incredible singer, and Runaway (the song in the video) is currently my favorite song..? Not to continuously listen to (although her voice is mesmerizing) but to come back to every once in a while, just to get this emotional boost (??) relief wordy expression I really don't know how or have the vocabulary to describe whatever it is.
Saw someone in the comments wishing he could right an essay about how this song makes him feel, this would be super hard and satisfiying to do, if only school would've let evolve and grow with what we find significant.

I have a challenge where I wanna watch films that have INFP Characters in them according to the media.
I've already watch The Joker before and he seems like an INFP that embraces the dark path he walked into. He's a broken INFP that embraces it and I can relate some parts of him. Everything he says about Society being sh*tty is what I would talk about too after everything he went through. I could feel so much of his hatred towards Murray, I could feel that he was about to cry when he was talking of how everyone is awful. I empathize him so much, at that moment he shoots Murray and I could literally feel his satisfaction. The satisfaction of so much hatred towards somebody that you wish they get what they deserve, is really satisfying that it makes you laugh in disbelief and amazement. I also could relate to the part where he imagine the whole thing of him dating his neighbor. Because that's the only thing that is keeping him sane. And I maladaptive daydream, the cause of it was the loneliness and depression I had. The only thing keeping me sane was imagining someone is there for me and talking to them.
I've watch Lord Of The Rings and Frodo is such a lovely main character that didn't deserved any of those bad things happened to him, all he wants is to go back home to the shire. He's so lovely and friendly. I'm actually thinking he might be an ENFP because of his free spirit.
I've watch The Perks Of Being A Wallflower and I could relate to Charlie so much when it comes to my daily life. I used to be such a people pleaser like him, I am really quite when I'm with a group of friends I'm not that close, he's very sensitive and kind. He describes me.
I've watch Edward Scissorhands and I cried :'). Edward was too pure for the world. Also he has the most sweetest smile I've ever seen. He is strange and odd and sweet but that's what makes him charming. I hated Jim and that lady who sexually harassed him.
I watched Harry Potter and Fantastic Beast before. I gotta say I bet, Luna got along with Newt since she married with his grandson.
I've watched every movie that has Wanda in it before and seeing an INFP losing someone they love REALLY is a heartbreaking thing to see. Especially Frodo seeing Gandalf "die" in front of his eyes. Seeing Sam drowning himself and he had such empathy for that Golem. Especially Peter Parker from The Amazing Spider-Man. I feel honored that a version of Spider-Man is an INFP. Don't you even get me started with Gwen's death :'(. (Spoiler for No Way Home: at least he got a redemption for saving MJ.)
Also I have watch Little Women before and I could relate to Jo for the "Elegant Society" thing. But I think that Jo is more of a ENFP.
That's all I've watch from now! ^~^ I'm planning to continue watching Star Wars just to see why is Luke Skywalker an INFP. I mean I know the fact that he thinks that Darth Vader his dad still can change, because he believes that he still has good in him which thay makes me him an INFP. But I'm pretty sure there's more than that.

Update: So I watched Call Me By Your Name, the main character Elio is an INFP. I think INFP's are pretty much hopeless romantics. When they do fall in love and when they're in a relationship, I guess it's like beautiful thing for us. Like if you ask an INFP who thinks love is wonderful beautiful thing, their Fe will start sparking a lot. Trying to express, will start saying things in a metaphorical way about love etc. That's how much INFP's likes love.
And Elio is a good example for those hopeless romantics INFP :D
Reality hits Elio by the fact that Oliver got married with somebody else instead of him. Reality telling him that romance and fictional things doesn't happen in the real world. I find the film really beautiful and raw and tragic. For me, the film isn't much of a love story, more of a first love, figuring yourself out, lust etc. Like I gotta admit I do really like Oliver and Elio, I know a lot of people doesn't like the age gap. But their relationship isn't perfect, it's flawed. And their age gap plays into that. I wasn't sure about the age gap at first too but then it didn't bother me. For Elio, their love was everything to him. It's first love, first love rarely ends well. The iconic speech from Mr. Perlman "How you live your life is your business. But remember, our hearts and our bodies are given to us only once. Most of us can't help but live as though we've got two lives to live, one is the mockup, the other the finished version, and then there are all those versions in between. But there's only one, and before you know it, your heart is worn out, and, as for your body, there comes a point when no one looks at it, much less wants to come near it. Right now there's sorrow. I don't envy the pain. But I envy you the pain."
I can't describe how his speech really cut something deep inside that needed to be let out after being kept inside for so long.
Watching the film and having to think that this is a love story film doesn't really help me understand what was all the hype about, but just to put myself in Elio's shoe. Having his first love. Really broke me at the ending, just to hope that your lover doesn't end up with someone else but trying not to expect anything (which is probably why Elio was saying "Like what? You're gonna get married? I suppose?" Him saying "I suppose", I'm thinking that he was trying not to act suprise.) When Oliver does tell him he's gonna get married, his face is literally the perfect example when people say "Oh.." Realising the first love you had together and imagined the future with them isn't gonna happen. The only thing he wanted now is to know if Oliver still remembers what they had together, hence why he says "Elio Elio Elio Elio.." it was reminder of Oliver telling him to call each other by their own names, it's like another way of saying "Did you remember what we had together? Please, remember.." Then after Oliver says "Oliver, I remember everything" Elio had that smile he had, he was just glad that he still remembers. No matter if he was getting married, he just didn't want to be the only one who remembers the special moments they had together.
So I cried my eyes out watching this film ಥ_ಥ

Amazing
So, I watched Anne With An E and it's the one of the best shows I've watched.
It explains and represents a lot of things very well, Racism, Sexism Prejudice, LGBTQ+ Community, the misogynist etc. I really wasn't expecting this show to be very good, it eventually became my comfort show.
I love how the characters are flawed, including the main character, Anne who is an Infp. She is so well written, she's so likable because she's not necessarily the perfect character. She had made mistakes, there are times where I get second hand embarrassment from her, but that's what I like about her. She's flawed like any human being. Also the women empowerment in this show is so good. I think that's what I like about Anne. Usually when it comes to those women empowerment characters, it feels force I guess? Like TOO force, it's like the writers goal is to make the character for women empowerment and feminism. The writers tend to forget making the character flawed too. I saw a video of "Why I had Feminist Hollywood movies" thing. It's basically toxic masculinity but put a wig on it and call it feminism. Like their only character and only goal is writing a women. That's the only purpose. You can tell by thinking of the character in genderbend. If Anne was a boy, she'll still be likable. If any character in Arcane is their opposite gender, it wouldn't make any difference. That's when you know they're actually writing a character.
Anne is a perfect example of a feminist, she wants equality. She is such a lovable and sweet character. She's so kind, free spirited, welcoming etc. I could go on about Anne that's how much I love how she was written and her. It seems like everyone who worked in the show really poured so much love into it. It's a shame that Season 4 was cancelled, and it's been years now and I doubt there's going to be a new season. My mom even enjoyed this show too.
Anne is one of my favourite Infp's from now on, she's one of the most infp person I've seen. Her imagination, her empathy for anyone.
But anyway that's all, I'll update more when I watch others :)

It's a bit sad because in amost these stories the person gets a happy end because this is what they are made for. INFP is a great trait for someone in a fantasy world where it's all good in the end they balong there. But in real life we tend to be the outcast, the dreamer the one with to many emotions and expectations. So I hope every INFP in these comment gets their happy end.

Investigating about the MBTI personalities and finding that i'm an INFP i started understanding myself a little more and discovering why i do certain things, i would be like "that was very INFP of you"; personally finding about other INFPs and how we develope in life made me feel like home, understood for the first time, i always felt like an outsider around people, like i was living inside my own movie, like kinda weird and extravagant, then I started embracing that and every detail of my personality and suddenly started being happier, why the need to fit in if we can be unique being ourselves?
