That seating depth is a problem with almost all semi auto's today. The barrels are not throated for lead bullets. They are made for a factory loaded jacketed bullet. I have had several 45acp barrels throated to be more cast bullet friendly.
Thanks for showing how to get these to length. Not many videos out there that actually shows how to do it. Watching this is easier than trying to type it all out!
Another thing Walter, Lee does not actually do any load data. They are copying data from other manufacturers.

Thanks, Tomme. Yes on the Lee data..that’s the whole premise of this series, discussed in the first couple of videos. If I had a reliable gunsmith anywhere close enough to transport myself, I might consider having a couple of my 1911’s throated. But it’s not in the cards. RN stuff feeds just fine, but SWC, not so much. They’re really tricky to make work. 🤛🏻🔫🇺🇸
