Is this the best off road trail in Red River New Mexico?

Conquering the Greenie Peak off road trail in Red River, New Mexico was an accomplishment 6 years in the making. We took it on today with our slightly lifted Ford F-150, but we weren't prepared for the primary obstacle we faced: other off roaders! The trail was extremely busy, and we had to navigate hundreds of ATVs going up and down the slopes. But the majestic views from the peak were worth the inconvenience on the trail. This is one of the highlights of our off-road experiences thus far, and a very rewarding trail to do.

I was not aware of that drive. Tried Goose Lake last time I was there but the water crossing was too deep for my full sized Bronco. Gotta try that one. Weekday only though, and very early in the morning to avoid all the folks.

Yup, Goose can be deep. And just as sketchy because of the side by sides from what I understand. Greenie is nice. With a Bronco, you'd have no issues, and it's just a fun trail to do that gets to a great view.

This is not the highest peak you can drive to. Greenie is 11250. Go south to Taos / Mora county line. And make your way to the peak of Cerro Vista. 11936ft
