You missed some things. If you do light heavy light heavy with the shock maul you can do constant sweep attacks. And with the Bolt pistol, pull the trigger immediately after the special stab for a cool animation.
I'm still working on unlocking the blessings on Bolt Pistol, so far found Puncture (causes x bleed stacks on ranged attack) Glory hunter Surgical (that is almost a must) Run n Gun (can hip fire while sprinting) Executioner (this one perfect as it causes damage bonus vs staggered enemies, since Bolt Pistol staggers most non Carapace armored enemies it is a good choice) Heard there's one to cause greater explosion on enemy kill? Will find out as my crafting is unveiling more. Update: Lethal Proximity is great it keeps the Bolt Pistol effectively maximizing its ability to take down anything that closes in on you, and Bolt rounds explosive ability being primed instantly keeps it more effective
There's also a blessing called Deadly Accurate that give +100% crit damage. I suggest trying Deadly accurate + Puncture on your Boltgun, if possible. It seems to give me higher performance than when I used Surgical + Deadly Accurate at least.
Yeah, FPS have been trash for me for a while. The new Bolt Pistol, I can grow to love it. It's a bit weird. A mix between the Boltgun and the Revolver, the aiming sights are trash (I don't hip fire, maybe I should), the accuracy is meh. I still prefer the revolver on the Zealot, but when the bolt pistol hits, it's good. I think I might try the weapon attachment mod, see if they have some nice reflex sights for it.
New map, updated existing maps, some skill changes... I can tell you that Ogryn players wouldn't agree it's "just" some new weapons. They got some really good weapons for once that complete them as a class and still look cool. The shock mauls are good too. The Bolt Pistol at least looks cool and being 40K iconic people still run it even at disadvantage.
Can´t believe Darktide is finally adding actual new weapons, instead of variants. And a bolt pistol to boot. Might have to reinstall.
this patch is defiantly worth a look at, most fun ive had on my Ogryn in months
The bolt pistol and shock mauls are really nice on middle tree vet, feel like a proper riot officer with the new armor.
yeah Voice of command/ Focus target vet feels really good with the new weapons, it does make you feel like an officer/commissar
Cons: it's a worse revolver
Pros: it's a bolt pistol
yeah pretty much where ive landed on the Bolt pistol, its cool but not quite as good as the revolver or Las pistol
If you're picking up Thy Wrath Be Swift for Gunner stun immunity, Gunners don't actually stun any more so that's no longer necessary.
just taking it for more movement speed and the melee immunity

let me know what you settle on, ive not had time to work on the Bolt pistol yet
The aoe blessing seems underwhelming to me, more for crowd control than damage.

@@thunder2434 as good as it sounds, there is some times that it feels like crit proccing takes more effort compared to raw damage

it doesn't feel too bad to use, but i dont know if it will replace my revolver or las pistol
It might be very good with a better sight. Damage at distance is good. You can headshot singleshot most specials if you just hit.
