As if Eiza wasn't an absolute Goddess, she then goes and nails a British accent! 😍
there has yet to be a guy ritchie film that i havent liked or disapointed me. everything he touches is fantastic
Henry Cavill's character was the influence for James Bond.
Britain turned out some odd soldiers in WW2 like Mad Jack Churchill who really did go to war with his sword and longbow and Douglass Bader the RAF who became a fighter ace after loosing both legs both of these men have short youtube videos discussing their lives there is a Douglass Bader biopic called Reach for the Sky. and then there is the great TV series Rouge Heroes about the formation of the S.A.S, and an older series about the bomb disposal troops in WW2 called Danger UXB
This was a great reaction. It is refreshing to hear people talk with understanding of historical context and cultural significance when breaking down a film based on real events.
Looking forward to watching this. Hasn’t even been released in the UK yet 💔
I managed to see it by other means when it popped up on my feed the other day (I'd been waiting months to watch it!). Managed to watch it twice before it got taken down. It was pretty good quality as well, nearly 600k had watched it before it was removed. Amazon only have themselves to blame. I've ordered the Steelbook, typically, only available in the States. It is ridiculous, the films own country cannot watch it.
I'm glad you recognize Alex Pettyfer. He's a very talented actor, I never understood why his career didn't go up like Henry Cavill's.
Yeah! We in there! This movie was awesome!
Look at all those patrons getting the shout out at the end!!!!;
I really, really liked this movie. You have to applaud Guy Ritchie for - again - sticking to his guns and following his nose; it’s feel is very ‘gentlemanly’ and not at all flashy, which is perhaps why some might find it a little less entertaining than say ‘Inglorious Basterds’. But that’s taste…
The standouts for me were firstly : Cavill-Ritchson (who, come to think of it, kind of has Armie Hammer’s spot from U.N.C.L.E. in the best way), Babs Olusanmokun chews up virtually any scene he’s in, and I also very much appreciated seeing Till Schweiger again. The only downside I could see, was that Till’s ‘bad guy’ could perhaps have used a little more backstory; his introduction (as brutal) was great, but the scenes after that were mainly leaning on his presence as an actor. A very minor point though, overall: great movie!
I enjoyed this movie very much. This was a solid Guy Ritchie film!
Where Eagles Dare and Kelly's Heroes - you gotta
Make him walk the plank, he loves wood.
I’m dead 😂😂😂
i wouldn't want to claim the UK was some sort of Hippy paradise back then but the levels of racism in the states just didn't happen here. there are a couple of youtube shorts about The Battle of Bamber Bridge which would show the difference and you can watch the US military training films to prepare the troops for the culture shock they were about to run into when it came to the UK they had to explain that little old ladies might invite black soldiers home for a cup of tea
Bro how to what this full movie?? Lot’s of love from India 🇮🇳💚
Great reaction. I feel like the real stars of this movie were Alan, Babs and Eiza. They stood out in every scene and all had more to do. Cavill felt like he was just there to be the face and the comic relief. Apart from that, he didn’t really do much despite the movie trying to portray him as the Mastermind. Those are my little gripes with it. Loved everything and everyone else. I know it's loosely based on a true story but I wouldn't mind seeing more from the world, if they decided to do it.
