  • So there's a print I referenced off of Thingiverse in a prior video. Some of you may have tried to follow along and make the print. This is a follow up to that video also mind you it say's that the SNAPMAKER CANNOT print this thing. With the settings in this video not only have I done it I have troubleshot the horrible first layer if you're interested in building this for your machine.
Note: I did mess with the 8% infill through my trials and errors yet there's still a ghost in the machine that can throw it off just a hair here or there regardless.
Also upon completion of this print it looks as though it may still be in the development stages as it doesn't have an infrastructure or top layer it is just a shell.

Best situation is finding one brand of filament by material type. Switching material brands in PLA could result in a need for slightly different settings.

Thank you for your video, I'm having similar problems and will try your ideas.

I've tried several different types of filament and across the board I think the biggest issue with printing is getting it to stick to the board. If you'd like to ask any questions you can contact me directly at THUMB FPV on Facebook.

THANKS I am also having trouble like U.
The learning curve is real steep in Laban.
One thing I notice in your settings is the infill 10% seems too low. I am accustomed to Prusa and never set infill lower than 20%
    Try looking at that.
    GOOD LUCK.

Much appreciated and you're right in your comment. The main problem was just getting the print to lay down initially.

Thank you for the video. I appreciate your input. I notice that u are not using an enclosure, do you think that's a factor that might help in containing heat and avoid those issues?

I am just getting started myself and have been doing research for about 5 months now. Better Brand of Filament does help, making sure you room temp stays consistent when not using an enclosure. I have been told bed temp of 70 and nozzle temp of 210 is the best when using PLA . Most filament comes with the recommended temps but seam to need tweaking a small amount.
Are you using a Polysmooth PLA or a Polyterra PLA as these temps work great with these types.
    Hope that helps @THUMB FPV

To be honest I never really got to the bottom of it per say but with the original bed and Snapmaker filament I never had the best adhesion. Switched to a glass bed and different PLA type and it was fine.
