It was honestly the funniest. I remember I managed to take out the last enemies on the island using an axe and lightning, and then putting the ball in the hole right before the blood moon respawned everything and almost made me have to start again
I loved the island shrine. It really put your skills to the test in a real survival scenario. It was like Cast Away. Unlike the trials of the sword which made we want to unalive myself.
Yeah I agree but I don’t recommend leaving your weapons on the shore and then taking them back since you’d be putting them in a temp inventory and any items you have at the end of the quest will be lost forever
tbh eventide just use ur surroundings. The hardest part was trying to kill the moblin by one of the 3 orb spots because there wasn't a magnesis cheese nearby
Little note about that Island shrine: If you drop your gear before the cutscene then pick it up after, once you complete the shrine quest and the island gives your stuff back, the stuff you dropped before the cutscene then picked back up will be gone from your inventory. I lost a lot of good shields and weapons this way...
Just go kill a bunch of enemies, collect items and whatever else. Blood moons generally are for resetting the world for resources and to keep fresh on memory. Use that knowledge to your advantage.
Either the one where you hide from the korok and follow it or the one in the bog above the korok forest where it’s pitch black and you have to kill the hinox.
Fun fact about the black forest (I don't remember the name): You can just run straight forward. You'll hit a wall, but if you climb it, you'll be right where the shrine comes up. So just get the ball and there ya go!
The island is basically the free demo version of the Trial of the Sword, which in turn can be considered the hardest "shrine quest". But I agree, the eventide island would be considered the hardest shrine quest for newer players or those that are getting used to things. That and that korok stealth mission.
There’s one thing to remember after doing Eventide island. make sure you drop the weapons you want to take back off the island before finishing the last puzzle because the game will think that you picked those items on the island and won’t return them to you after you get your old items back.
Don't forget the one where u travel to the shrine and there's a gerudo who needs a drink or u can't get the thing open so u have to go to town, talk to the lady, carry and icecube through the desert, and go all the way back to the shrine.. TO MUCH! in my opinion it's way harder than even tide cause it's to much work...
eventide looked terrifying when i watched my sibling play it and spend like 2 hours trying, and when i tried i got up to the troll first try- but had no idea there was a troll there, and didnt want to die and loose all my progress, so i just stood on top of the cliff for thirty minutes dropping bombs on it it worked, and i can officially say i got eventide first try, lmaoo
i did eventide first try for the first time on master mode. my friend said it was beginners luck, but i beg to differ since (even though it was my first try) i had already played botw for like a month before that
what i did on eventide island was first, at night, sneak up on the enemies and get some weapons, then got the ball of the hinox jumping on him carefully and then running away, then with the weapons i got, it was easy to take out the enemies, and after some minutes i completed it. I also got it first try.
So you can drop your weapons at the start of eventide. But don’t forget to drop them again before ending the quest to pick them back up again. Easy cheasy way out
I hate that shrine in the Hebra region where you have to use a snowball to open huge stone doors. I just have huge issues lining it up right for some reason.
Same here I figured it out a few months ago but.. to be fair I had my brother do it for me since *ahem* I was scared of a lot of things in that game for some reason. Now I’m fine tho, Anyway..!
Eventide is probably my favorite shrine quest. I think game play wise, it works because it strips you of everything you might have become accustomed/ reliant on by this point. It's like a Great Plateau pt2. Giving you a chance to see how far you've come in understanding the mechanics and design of the game since you first started playing.
The "Watch out for the flowers" quest was extremely easy in my opinion. I can't be the only person who finds this shrine quest easy as heck. Tide island was hell though, and if you say that shrine quest was easy, you'd be lying 😂😂😂
I agree flower quest is easy but fr the island is too it just takes a while to properly scavenge some gear and get ready for the hinox fight. I did it first try with like 13 hearts in under an hour.
I beat the hinox by throwing bombs down the "mountain side". I was too high up for him to throw anything, but low enough that he could see me. It took forever, but I didn't die 😅
I just collected arrows by dodging bow attacks from one of those pigs after wiping all of his friends and had enough to hit the Hinox’es eye. It was pretty easy tbh
I have completed every shrine in both but the hardest aren’t even shrines, there the dlc. The dlc where you upgrade the master sword was so hard that I clipped out of the map and glitched my way to the end anyway. Champions Ballad was just you fighting EVERY SINGLE BLIGHT GANNON AGAIN. AND FIGHTING A VERY STRONG MONK FOR A MOTORCYCLE. Also there are more shrines in Ballad. I am doing Totk now
The hardest one in my opinion is the Blood Moon one! Sometimes you have to wait forever for one to appear but if you have the travel medallion (which is also scary to obtain!) it’s easier.
I just talked to the lady before she went to bed to get the ice then waited till it was dark out so it wouldn’t melt, then if you need to fight enemies you just set it down and take your time :D
@@maisonmarshall8194I didn't have too bad a time with that, myself. I kept yeeting the ice and running to it, going as straight as possible while ignoring or avoiding enemies.

If you drop all your weapons and items in the shallow water right next to even tide island, once you walk on to the island and your items get taken away you can just pick them up. I would argue Revali's Gale is a much bigger game-changer for that than the Thunder Helm. Thunder Helm makes no difference to your ability to climb wet objects.
The shrine where you have to make sure you don’t step on any of the flowers. The woman’s name in that game is actually my grandmother’s real name: Magda
