  • It’s embarkation day on Enchantment of the Seas in September 2022 as I sail on a Royal Caribbean cruise again!
    I set sail from Baltimore, Maryland onboard Royal Caribbean cruise ship Enchantment of the Seas. This Royal Caribbean cruise on Enchantment of the Seas will take me to Bermuda for a 3-day stay. This will be my first time sailing from Baltimore, my first time to Bermuda, and my first time on an older Royal Caribbean ship. Enchantment of the Seas is the third oldest Royal Caribbean cruise ship.

    Ah Zach the sound of the ocean waves from the aft area…has me so excited. I prefer a balcony but I have been sailing since 72 and i cut my cruising teeth on inside cabins then moved to ocean view but my itineraries now a balcony is a must. Thanks really enjoyed this video 🚢😊

    I will be sailing on the Enchantment this Saturday Nov 19. Our cruise was originally scheduled for 2020, then moved to 2021, and finally we will be able to cruise this year.
    Those bridges you showed are the reason Baltimore cannot accommodate the newer larger ships. The people who love sailing out of Baltimore worry that if they scrap the smaller, older ships that we will be left without ships for our port.

    As far as preference of cabin type, I prefer a balcony any time I feel I can afford it. I've stayed in a studio cabin (NCL), inside, oceanview, and balcony, and I will take whatever I can get as long as it means I get to cruise! I've never sailed out of Baltimore, and I had not idea it took so long to get out into open ocean. Thanks for sharing that! We started cruising in the early 90's, so we appreciate a smaller ship.

    I was on Enchantment in April and it is the best cruise I have had after many years of cruising. I love the smaller ships because they are so much more friendly. That is important to me since I travel alone. I had a cabin just like yours, which was down the hall from the centrum. I found it very convenient, but I heard that you should not opt for a room too close to the centrum because of the noise, but I was down the hall quite a ways. I wish I were on there because I love Bermuda. I have been there 30 some times and it is my favorite island. The people are so friendly. I hope you have a great cruise and I will go with you VIA your videos this week. I do not like Baltimore for embarkation at all. It was a mob scene in April and it was rainy and cold we stood outside in line for over 3 hrs. before they let us in. We were there when we were supposed to be. I found the workers there very rude for the most part. I prefer Leaving from NJ.

      Celebrity is better at service and food and offering a more laid back “luxury” experience. Royal caters to those looking for a fun, yet memorable, vacation. More for families. Much less kids on Celebrity! And the food on Celebrity just cannot be beat. Plus their ships are amazing.

    Hey, Zach. I've been watching several of your videos today as im a solo traveler also. I've only cruised once several years ago with an ex and I think the fact that we were on the verge of a breakup ruined my experience. I've been strictly going to land-based all inclusive resorts since then and it has made me frown a bit about expectations for re-attempting a cruise. Can you compare the two at all? Also what do all the extras really cost on a ship? Drinks, specialty dining, etc? I know you've gone to specialty dining but not much mention of up-charge beverages. For comparison, I'm used to paying anywhere from $300‐$500 per day for resort stays.
    Also, when is the best time to cruise with minimal children on board? I only go to adults only resorts, so this kinda freaks me out a bit about the ship being overrun with screaming kids. Any insight would be appreciated.

    • @ZachtheTravelingMan
      @ZachtheTravelingMan  Год назад +1

      I prefer Celebrity and their All Included rate as it includes drinks and WiFi and gratuities. But outside of that a drink package will typically run you $50-100 additional per day plus gratuities. Just depends on the cruise line and any sales they might offer. Celebrity is the best line to sail without children, which is a lot of the reason why I love them so much. Late September and early October and then again late January and February are great times to sail with lower rates as kids are in school and fewer folks are traveling. Thanks for watching!
