STATS - when choosing your partner
- Chances of being in a stable marriage (defined as 5+ yrs) are in the 60% range if age of first sexual activity is 19+. If it was 14 or younger its less than 40% chance
- If She has had 16 or more partners chances of a stable marriage are less then 20%
- Women with more sexual partners are less content in marriage

I'm 49…5 years ago l got divorced. It devastated my finances. I had to start over and change everything about my life, it was an agonising period. However…it’s survivable, my money guy worked me through some sustainable long term investments. l grew to $1.6m and still growing, reasonably good amount to retire. Haven't looked back since.

You must have a plan in advance.
A few tips: Once you tell her you want a divorce, don't move out of the house. Once you are out of the house, you are considered legally separated and she doesn't have to let you back in.
If kids involved, it may get tricky with custody and child support.
If she is amenable, go through the mediation route. Avoid attorneys, if possible.
A caveat if you proceed to tell her you want a divorce: Women can become vicious during a divorce. It is a hate that no modern tool can measure.
You may have to go through Hell for a bit, but after all is done you will feel great!

I remember my ex was pressuring me for marriage after 1 year together. It was odd. I told her that I was fully committed to her but I need at least 3 years with someone before getting engaged. She blew up on me and gave me the silent treatment for the next few days. She also refused to use birth control, and encouraged me to not use a condom, then had the nerve to say if she got preagnant, she would never get an abortion or take a plan B. Now I can see more clearly what she was trying to do. She didnt love me. She loved what I provided and desperately wanted her piece of the meat by any means necessary. I was married for 17 years with two kids, the oldest being 15. The last 10 years of marriage was miserable. She let herself go physically, always unhappy with her job, sucked with the finances, and had champagne taste with a beer budget. I feared divorce because I watched so many male friends and family members get screwed by family court. I finally had enough a couple years ago and asked for a divorce. After some discussion and nearly 8 months of anxiety and stress we got the dissolution done. I walked away unscathed. No alimony and a paltry amount in child support, which will be cut in half next month. I was lucky though. Her attorney and the magistrate both tried to screw me over but it didn’t work out. I got shared parenting and it feels like a tremendous weight was lifted off of me.
Guys….do not get married. You will set yourself up for financial ruin and unrelenting stress and anxiety. I’m going through it now. 15 years wasted for her to cheat and throw it all away. I’ve filed for divorce and looking at moving out. My cousin went through the divorce machine. As he was going through it, he caught vicious cancer and was gravely ill. His wife visited him in the hospital and first thing she asked him was “If he had life insurance?” She didn’t even bother ask him how he’s doing.
Weeks later he died and she didn’t allow the kids to bury their father.

I stopped paying her energy bill. She called social services on me, told them I was going to shoot my kids with guns. They arrested me . Put me in jail. Took my hunting rifles and destroyed them. She ran off with my 5 year old for 6 months. My older daughter I haven't seen for almost three years. THEN she was caught with perjury. So they dropped some of my charges. (Except for unsafe firearm storage because one of them didn't have a trigger lock). It's hart breaking to see your dad get mentally and physically drained, while the economic crisis broke out, his best friend and business partner died (at the beginning of the crisis), kids getting set up against him, fake stories made up about him and financialy killed by my mother. Even he is surprised he survived that situation, mentally, physically and financialy.

One tip you forgot to give:
1) Without informing her, AUDIO record her in your phone when she gets angry and admits to committing domestic violence against you. As long as one party in the recording gives consent(you give it by clicking “record,” no need to voice it) , then you CAN record without the other party knowing you’re recording. Keep the phone facing down at the dinner table or keep it in your hands so she can’t see the phone is recording. Never let her have the password to your phone. Save the recordings on the cloud and various places. Have several copies.
2) Then, go to the courts and get an “order of protection with exclusive property use.” Have the police serve her the papers that same afternoon. Step #2 is FREE, no lawyer needed. Be as specific as possible citing time stamps, order of events, and stating that you have RECORDINGS as proof. State ‘My lawyer advised me that this evidence should be sufficient to grant me an order of protection with exclusive property use.” Even if you don’t have a lawyer, say that as your final sentence. Make sure you at least called a lawyer for a free 30 min consultation somewhere in your state and put his name in case they ask you who your lawyer is. This makes you look legit and is true. The judge is a human and will feel “social proof” , a persuasive phenomenon, and will be inclined to grant you your request. Dress well, wear a tie, shave your face. Don’t look like a homeless. Look like a poised and calm CEO when the judge reviews your submission. Say “yes, man” and “yes sir.”
3) If you have the recordings, within hours, that same day, she is obligated to leave your home. You now have enormous leverage in a divorce and can a use her of commuting domestic violence, you have the audio tapes to prove it (iPhone app to record audio). You can now paint her in the picture of not being mentally fit to have the children.
Now, you have all the leverage.

I have a handicap, that is one reason the wife left me. long story short, the judge ordered her to pay me almost $500 a month in child support but she fought it and got it knocked down to $150 a month. She makes good money but is always upside down financilly because of credit card misuse. I don't miss that shit.

I lost shared custody because I don't have regular 9-5 hours in my full-time government job. I thought I could reason with them... but the truth is that the court system is ruthless against men. Its a beautiful thing and when it works it is one of the best things that can ever happen in your life. I won't marry someone and become a slave to the vagina as you so eloquently put that. I will marry someone who respects me and marriage. Someone who will put in the work and understand just how serious it is. Of course there is always the risk of divorce but that is life. Nothing good in life comes without some form of risk. Sorry to say but your advice is garbage and you shouldn't be giving it out. You clearly have no idea what marriage truly means and only think about the extreme consequences that could potentially happen. Everything is circumstantial, so ignorant advice like this does more harm than good. So I mean by all means, you can go ahead and live a life based off fear but not me and hopefully not most people. Otherwise you simply will end life with nothing of value around you and that is probably one of the worst feelings and fates someone could have.

When anyone wants anything over they can end it. The guy can do the same to the girl as well. Just because the possibility for divorce exists, does not mean that no one should get married. Like I already said, your advice is not good and neither is your argument.
Story time (sorry for the length):
Just finished mediation on January 6th, judge signed on the 9th.
I was a great husband and father for 7 years. I cooked, cleaned, worked a full time job as a teacher, coached football, and had my kids while my wife who was then an RN. We both leveled up. I got my bachelors, she got her masters, I am now getting my masters and she started her doctorate this month. She made $175k and I mad 60k on record.
Wife started a new job as a psychiatric nurse practitioner.
She started going out with her friends after work without coming home. I had to bring the kids home, bathe them, feed them….and my wife would come home tipsy after I put them to sleep.
She separated our bank accounts and said she would pay the car notes for both BMW’s, all the bills, and for me to take care of the toiletries, groceries, and food, and household repairs. She said that each of our money would be our own after we handled our responsibilities. I reluctantly went with it. She started working so much overtime and kept all the money to herself while I had to take care of our kids. She started being disrespectful and talking crazy. I made the cardinal mistake in the beginning moving into her $400k home.
She brought like 80 pairs of high end shoes and bags. She was extremely lazy. I was raising 2 step kids (by 2 different men). We had 2 kids together who are now 5 and 3. She brought 2 new wardrobes….all high end clothes.
I refused to move out so at the advice of her friends filed a fake PO and had me removed from the home in front of her kids and mine. 4 sheriffs escorted me out. She claimed I blacked her eye three years prior, said I emotionally abused our son and that her kids were scared of me. She told them I had a gun in the home (which I had for my families protection especially because of her previous baby daddy). I was escorted out with nothing but half my clothes and what can fit into my car.
I was homeless and had to live with my aunt and uncle for a month and a half. I built myself back up, got a 2 bedroom townhome and began 2 side hustles. My wife tried to come back into my life and visit my apartment.
We eventually decided on mediation. This happened over the last 2 years.
She literally thought the courts would grant me nothing but my clothes and the belongings from the house that we could agree on.
After she had me removed she got a tummy tuck and bought 2 all white BMW’s for herself…..a hard top convertible and an X6.
She controlled me with the state mandates (Wednesday nights and every other weekend). I was still a great father even when I was homeless.
Fast forward to mediation…..I won in my opinion. She gets 1 additional overnight stay since she let me start keeping the kids overnight from Wednesday to Thursday, and I could pick up from school on Friday and drop them off on Monday.
I asked for a 50/50 split of everything. The mediator and her lawyer had to explain to her that the courts would let me leave empty handed. I went after her retirement and everything.
So we got 50/50 joint legal, she wouldn’t let go of the extra overnight stay but still has to pay me child support at $85 per week ($340 per month). She gets to claim our kids on taxes for the next 3 years, we split them after that. She offered a global amount of 50k. I told her 65k and we settled on 60k.
She got to keep my man cave but I can get the things on my list that we agreed on. She also has to carry our tax debt that she created.
So I got my kids 55/45 and 50/50 joint legal and 60k that must be paid 90 days after the judge signed the divorce…..judge signed on 1/9/23.
She though she was just gonna do me bad and dismiss me and would brag to friends about it. Well ever since we settled she has been crazy nice…..but I could care less. I make good money and I am about to get a huge boost. I really went easy on her because she had 100k in retirement that she dipped into to put 40k into the house while we were married.
I was scared of the process because of what I heard but since she was determined the bread winner, the mediator actually said that I needed to receive the same treatment that women get when men are the bread winner. God kept me and in my eyes I won and I have my own and my peace.
Just wanted to share a story of hope for men staying in awful marriages with toxic women.

I eventually stopped talking to her when she started playing petty coparenting games and lying. Just wasn’t worth it. I do me and take care of my kids during my time with them.

My ex-wife actually tried to stay together with me , when we were on the verge of adopting 2 children . When the childrens mom came forward , all cleaned up , and was granted back custody of her children , my wife decided she wanted a divorce !! I was later told by her cousin , she intended on getting the custody of the 2 children and going after me for support !

More like women love materialistcally. Logic & emotion are polar opposites. In the right context, they can compliment & create great works of achievement. At odds with each other, well look at modern society & the behavior it encourages; narcissism, entitlement, uncontrolled ego, you get the picture. Being honorable, loyal, & mindful are sadly seen by society as making one to be a soft target & viewed in two ways, scorn, or "let's see how much I can take advantage of this individual for my own personal gain." That the government & media sources condone & encourage this behavior is it really any wonder we face these issues in our daily lives & can not let our guard down for a moment lest we be another sheep for the slaughter. I have seen too much for any chance of peace or salvation. It is my hope against my jaded self bias that one day things will not be as they are for the sake of future generations. It would be interesting if someone could prove to me humanity is worth saving.

got divorced fought for my kid and got him. Took me 7 years. Tips: Never argue or show any emotion over money, if she crosses any boundary get on order of protection, dont listen to her threats or emotional rants etc, SEE YOUR KIDS visit the school regularly. I would travel on public trans 2 hours every morning just to see my son and walk him into the classroom door. Endurance, Endrance, Endurance, remember your a man there are several levels to your game she only has about 3 levels.

Im currently going through the same thing. She is using our kids as pawns as she has set her self up with a new man (victim) before we even broke up. Its Nuckin futs. I wish I watched all this info first. Never again. Hopefully all you who haven't married take all this advice because it is priceless. And for what its worth. She seemed like the innocent loving sweet trusting type of woman...they are chameleons...99% of them. Good luck finding that 1%.

Kevin Chappell the reason I ask is my wife wants the house but her name is not on the house. She couldn't be put on the house because of student loans and bad credit so she's not even on the deed. We have no kids together but we bought the house after marriage I was wondering how would that work.
