hi Michael. Potato salad is one of my favorites (especially with baked ham). I make mine almost like yours except I saute' onion, celery and bell pepper in butter until soft and add them to the salad. Love lots of eggs and Hellmans is the only way to go. Thanks for your recipes. They're so down home.

I just made this the other day for someone who was struggling. Told them about your channel and hope they look you up. You are such a positive and dear person. Just shared what we had, which wasn't much, but they were thrilled. Some jumbo hot dogs I grilled, baked beans from a can I doctored, cut up carrot and celery, some little mandarin oranges for a treat, your potato salad and a dozen fresh eggs from the chickies. I think it's not how much we give or can afford to give, I think it's the fact that someone cooks for you when you're having a hard time. When I do not feel well, even a cup of tea or a slice of toast Jonathan or our daughter make for me - wow! Seems like the most gourmet treat ever! Take care, our friend. We appreciate you.

I also like a little crunch of finely chopped celery, sweet red bell peppers which give a nice color contrast as well a crunch to all the rest of the ingredients, and I like finely sliced scalllions, again for flavor and color. I love lots of eggs like you too! I think you can't go wrong with good ingredients and good technique, like not overboiling the potatoes. Like you, I could eat an entire bowl in a day, it's that good. Great video!

This reminds me of my mom's potato salad. The only item she did not use was pickle relish. She did use red skin potatoes as freitasex said can be used. She did season it a bit differently. I liked his prepartion of the dressing and eggs to gently toss and fold in the cooked potatoes. Nice. job!

I had problems with the potatoes getting mushy, so I started boiling them unpeeled in salted water, uncovered, then I rinse & chill them, peel by hand, and dice. They don't get half-mashed when I stir them in, and they aren't ever dry or undercooked.

Found this video while looking for new ideas for potato salad. This is practically the same way I always make it, except adding the vinegar to the hot potatoes, and I use paprika instead of Cayenne, plus I add some finely diced celery. I just watched a video with Chef John singing the praises of Cayenne and its health benefits, Here's my first chance to start using more of it.
Your channel looks great. I like how you have things categorized. Everything on your channel is either something I make regularly or looks like something I can't wait to try.

Thank you so much! I am sure you know that 99% of my videos have the ingredients listed in the description and this last year or so I have been also adding the method. Thanks again!

Glad I bumped into this recipe for potato salad today. It's delicious (the cayenne pepper is the "cherry on top" for me.) I'll be using this recipe often. Many thanks, Michael....

You are very welcome, Michael. I'm a single senior, and I'm relatively new to cooking. My girlfriend of 15 years died about a year ago (July 15, 2016), and she loved to cook for us. She taught me how to make a delicious chicken noodle vegetable soup (starting with a fully cooked rotisserie chicken from the supermarket), and I still make it quite often. I even learned how to make a nice meatloaf (from a recipe here on youtube) recently. And, as I said, I'm very glad I came upon your recipe here for potato salad. It truly is delicious! I 'm finding that cooking is excellent therapy for me, especially after having suffered the loss of my sweetheart, Julie. I look forward to trying more of your recipes in the future. Thanks for responding to me here, Michael. It really means a lot. All the best to you and yours. Dave....

My family's recipe uses dried dill instead of the parsley and relish and it's very refreshing. Awesome recipe!
