I was at that concert. It was sponsored by American Express for their corporate customers in Central Park. Others that performed: Taj Mahal, Stevie Nicks, Sarah Mcloughlin, Keith Richards, Dixie Chicks, and many others that I just can't remember. Every act was awesome.
Yes, 89 to 99. During his from the cradle shows in the mid nineties, he was on another level. Watch the Martin Scorsese documentary nothing but the blues featuring EC. It is the finest display of blues playing and vocals ever laid down, a must see for anyone to see perfection.
Everytime I see younger musicians on the stage with EricClapton, whether it is Sheryl Crow, John Mayer or Eric's backup band.... At some point, they just look at him and just start bursting out with smiles. No matter how good they are as musicians, they must be getting chills just thinking about the fact they are on stage with Eric, their idol. Check it out sometime.
Its pretty cool that I have lived long enough to hear the original of this song & all of the new versions, thank you Lord ,for that and everything else you have blessed me with. Amen
Love how at 4:12 Eric played an A# instead of an F chord there. It's not that often this man's made mistakes while playing. So it was a good chuckle to have on it. Love him!
This has to be the best version of White Room ever. And Clapton is age 54 here! From the Sheryl Crow 'Central Park' album; a sleeper hit; growing and growing as people just love the energy and bite here. Something about the band, the production, the recording, the atmosphere Ms Crow creates - it just works, it just crackles with energy and joie de vivre.
HISTORY. there was a time not to many decades ago, when there were really only a few bandds that got airplay and popularity... and thus, only so many songs reached our young ears.. and those songs had to be good. This song is one of those, that should be on loop in its own wing of the Museum of ROCK AND ROLL, in perpetuity.
This guy plays his ass off I have played drums in bands seriously a good part of my life and you can see the excitement this guy has just to be up there playing a legendary song with the legend himself very fortunate and he knows it what a privilege and well done.
This is one bad ass version probably the best I’ve ever seen.EC really leans into his guitar/pedal. After the gig he’s going to rotate Cheryl’s tires and change her oil.
Love this song - and i think the dude on the drums loves it too....i'm thinking he's living a dream to play this song with Mr. Clapton.....you can feel the passion! That goes for all of those guys on stage actually....they did the song, Cream and Mr. Clapton proud right here! Mr. Clapton has always been incredible....even during the times he was experimenting with the music he loves (that i'm not keen on..) i loved every song on every album! If only Mr. Hendrix lived as long......imagine the endless possibilities! At least we have what he left us!
+Loxxov Voxxol Who is the dude on the Drums? He makes this song something more than Eric leading Sheryl thru it. He absolutely Pounds it for this song's real feel. Go Jim Bogios!
Agreed, Clapton though very, very talented, he dosn't have the range for that song. Bruce was a stand out among the very finest vocalists of the second half of the 20th century, and in a league with McCartney, Lennon, Greg Lake, Bowie, Elton John, Grace Slick, & Henley..
Nice version here, but no Jack makes the edge dull. Plus there's too much wash in the background, which mutes the wickedness of the wah effect when played by the original trio. And why is she smiling through the bleak lines of the refrain? Cover version.
I love Sheryl Crow performance with Eric Clapton.. She is so beautiful beyond all memory comprehension. She was only 27 years old, maybe she will one day consider retiring in Key West FL with me. Maybe now she approaching 38 years old.
I saw Eric Clapton live in 2003, and he had a wonderful, LEGENDARY drummer by the name of Steve Gadd. He's done plenty of recordings by plenty of wonderful people. Steve is, I think, one of my favorite drummers, and one of the best Clapton ever had!
OMG!! Eric is awesome! Sheryl is my most everything! I'm such a huge fan of both. I wonder what it would have been like if SRV was there with the greats he so deserves to play with. I love every thing you do Sheryl. Keep it up. I'm your biggest fan. Me, Patrick Powell. lol Love ya'.
I used to listen this song a ton when I was kid. This is great. They even have a viola! Just like the original. The drummer plays GB's part almost exactly. I think Clapton sings and plays it wonderfully. At 4:10 one of the three guitar players goes to the coda too early.
Thanks CrowVideoTV6 Used to be able to access this WHOLE CONCERT, which in my opinion, is Sheryl's BEST OVERALL recording, although live, excellent audio & song selection/version was my fatal attraction to Sheryl!!!
This is one of the very best renditions of this song ever, wonderful cohesive sound from the whole band, shared vocals with Cheryl really add something special, and EC his usual smooth Bluesey best - greatness !+!+!+ (miss Jack Bruce on Base, but he is irreplaceable)
How else would you have worked it then? Crow is a woman; women's vocal chords not being the same as men's, she sang the falsetto part. Would you rather they'd mimed? That way you could have all the thrill of seeing them there while the record you know so well from your kitchen stereo plays. What joy. If you drop your contact details in the reply box, Crow, Clapton or any of all the other band members will definitely avail themselves of your fresh mind the next time White Room needs to be sung live in front of a bajillion people. Up for it? Or would you be meh?
Trotz des phantastischen Gitarrensolos ist immer noch die frühe Version mit Ginger Baker und Jack Bruce mein Favorit. In ihrer Klarheit und Musikalität ist sie unübertroffen.
❤hhhhhh
Sheryl totally nailed the choruses.
Clapton's vocals are peerless. Crow nails her part.🎉
It all comes together beautifully
Clapton during the 90s was at his peak
Yes, 89 to 99. During his from the cradle shows in the mid nineties, he was on another level. Watch the Martin Scorsese documentary nothing but the blues featuring EC. It is the finest display of blues playing and vocals ever laid down, a must see for anyone to see perfection.
@@robmorrison1043 I saw him in 1994 or 1995 blues tour in Cincinnati, Ohio great show yes prime Clapton for sure!!
Sheryl Crow is a legend
He was at his peak in cream for me but he’s always been good.
He still for me i love how is play
Eric, there's not much that hasn't already been said about you!! I believe you're a legend!!!!
Als Gitarrist ja, aber nicht als Sänger!
The guy is amazing. I love the way that Clapton gives him the head nod.
Getting the head nod from Clapton says that you have made it.
That final melody from the hammond sounds fantastic
I think this is still the best post Cream version. I think Clapton and this drummer were stars here 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yes!
There will never be another Eric Clapton. Amazing all round performer that very few can hold a candle to.
Amen!
His only equals are people like the Beatles... still, nobody has dared rival him for the last 50 years
And he's still here, enjoy him while he's alive, time waits for no man.
oh dear me i just stumbled on this,,,,, lucky me,,,,,,,,,, bliss, how lucky we are to have you tube
Clapton was on His game that night...
Everytime I see younger musicians on the stage with EricClapton, whether it is Sheryl Crow, John Mayer or Eric's backup band.... Y
And yet, HE'S a Mess when on the stage with HER...
very well put
I think Sheryl was smiling a lot for additional reasons 😎
@@stratodanster hilarious Not wrong
That was so good. I played guitar for over 50 yrs. Got to say , yes.
When Sheryl Crow sang the chorus, I got chills.
one of the best songs ever RIP JACK BRUCE
Sheryl's band is kicking ass... nice wall of guitar and Hammond sound. Great version all the way around.
I'm a 70 something failed recreational guitar player. This makes me want to dust off my strat and hook up my wah wah pedal.
4:27 that’s why Clapton is God
How cool to introduce "my very good friend, Eric Clapton."🎉😊❤
Its pretty cool that I have lived long enough to hear the original of this song & all of the new versions, thank you Lord ,for that and everything else you have blessed me with. Amen
I was back stage there. My first webcast.
Love how at 4:12 Eric played an A# instead of an F chord there. It's not that often this man's made mistakes while playing. So it was a good chuckle to have on it. Love him!
Good spot! Great to know that Clapton can stuff up his own stuff too
and some mistakes later with a bend
The F chord is an extremely difficult chord to play... so much so that even guitarists like John McLaughlin and Jeff beck avoided playing it.
@@r.k.2000 Phahahahahahahahahaha! Practice more often.
That kiss in the beginning looked like it hurt! Might have thrown him off his game :D
Wow! 1999 endlich mal wieder! Ein feines Stück Musik.
Best post Cream version I’ve heard.
The live aid one is arguably better
Beautiful melody, sweet sound, loud and bold percussion, this is the heaven.
Sheryl is such a rocker, love this girl. And always love for Eric.
Here's proof that allowing these songs on RUclips works. Heard this song. Went over to Amazon to buy the album. Awesome!
This is an example of pure audio ecstasy
Clapton comes out and shows everybody what's up like its nothing!
Perfection moves all music to greatness and deep appreciation that’s what Eric does always everything
What an amazing rendition of an old favourite.. The entire Band was just great !
HISTORY. there was a time not to many decades ago, when there were really only a few bandds that got airplay and popularity... and thus, only so many songs reached our young ears.. and those songs had to be good. The drummer does a great job here.
This guy plays his ass off I have played drums in bands seriously a good part of my life and you can see the excitement this guy has just to be up there playing a legendary song with the legend himself very fortunate and he knows it what a privilege and well done.
He sticks very close to Ginger's line. Not that there's anything wrong with that. But I'd give G most of the credit myself.
@@Frisbieinstein its Simon Kirk ...ex free and bad co
He owned it
@@michaelmurray4608 Nope! Definitely Jim Bogios, played drums for Sheryl from 1996 to 2003.Simon never even played in Sheryl's band.
Don't get no better than Clapton!
Clapton happy with that drummer whoever he was
Jim Bogios
Drummer was totally kicking ass behind that kit!
That drummer will never forget the look Clapton gave him at 4:26
Biggest solo que of his life.
Every White Room is special for its distinctive reasons. This one is for the vocals and their overall beauty of playing.
Great live version of "White Room". Especially for a live performance. Nice swapping of vocal differences to augment the song.
Love everything Clapton. Cheryl Crow is an added bonus.
This is one bad ass version probably the best I’ve ever seen.EC really leans into his guitar/pedal. After the gig he’s going to rotate Cheryl’s tires and change her oil.
*Sheryl's
And then he’s not 😕
The 1968 live version with original lineup is even better
That was one hell of a solo by mr. clapton!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this is the best sheryl crow performance, and Clapton rocks!
Love Sheryl's haircut ! Looks great !
The whole band was fucking awesome, they all did their greatest for the great EC!
Love this song - and i think the dude on the drums loves it too....i'm thinking he's living a dream to play this song with Mr. Clapton.....you can feel the passion! That goes for all of those guys on stage actually....they did the song, Cream and Mr. Clapton proud right here!

Masterful, Eric Clapton !
Magistral Mr Clapton...
Big sweetness!
Jack Bruce - His voice makes this song. R.I.P. Sir. The best bass player of our time!
Amen.
Agreed, Clapton though very, very talented, he dosn't have the range for that song.
Bruce was a stand out among the very finest
vocalists of the second half of the 20th century, and in a league with McCartney, Lennon,
Greg Lake, Bowie, Elton John, Grace Slick, & Henley..
Mick Harris not agree. Creem MAKES this song. the voice, the drums, the bass AND the guitar are superb.
you should watch beware of mr. Baker documentary on Ginger Baker's life.
Nice version here, but no Jack makes the edge dull. Plus there's too much wash in the background, which mutes the wickedness of the wah effect when played by the original trio. And why is she smiling through the bleak lines of the refrain? Cover version.
Favorite Version Of White Room Ever! Props To Jim Bogios and The whole Sheryl Crow Band!! Well Done!!
I lovè Shreral's voice , the sweetest tone wow! Eric Clapton on on fire!!
damn, that rocked. i love that sheryl plays a les paul. the drummer kicked ass too.
I love this song. Such a great combo, clapton and crow! :) Unbelievable.
yes crowd you should be on your feet, with these two on stage, every time i see sheryl great vocals, let alone having GOD on stage with her..
So nice to see Sheryl so healthy and happy here. Eric too
Another kickass version of a kickass song.
I love Sheryl Crow performance with Eric Clapton.. She is so beautiful beyond all memory comprehension. She was only 27 years old, maybe she will one day consider retiring in Key West FL with me. Maybe now she approaching 38 years old.
The video is from 1999. How can she be 38 now? She is in her 50's.
yes okay maybe she in her 50's but her music has no age limit.
Excellent song, powerful performance!🎸🎸❤️🦆
Absolutely kicks ass !!!
GREAT PERFORMANCE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sheryl shows an impressively strong voice here. Helps this, one of my favorite songs, a lot. 👏👏👏💛⚡(super good).
My God…. Goosebumps ❤
Great version, the keyboard player is fantastic here!
gotta love clapton
That is perhaps better than the original!!! Crow adds something to it!
man the rythm section are killing it! Great stuff

Pour moi la meilleure Version de cette chanson et ce génial solo de guitare de Clapton avec ses premières notes aiguëes
qui font frémir de bonheur
Sheryl you look awesome with short hair!!! It's not just your hair that's looking good!!!❤
Cuando era adolescente lo conocí con el Grupo "THE CREAM" al gran ERICK CLAPTON con la canción:
"WHITE ROOM" y aún sigo siendo fan de él.
The whole band was amazing, just gold that people got for free that day, love it.
Well said!
Totally! The All Of Them. Everyone was spot on on an excellent piece of music. I'm bookmarking this.

This is the most fire I've seen burning in EC's gut for a long time.
