The Toad Strangler Gravel Fondo 2023

The Toad Strangler is a gravel event located in Chatham, NY. The course is 40.5 miles, with over 3,700 feet of elevation and one aid station at around the halfway mark.
We had a great time riding this event. 56% of the course is gravel, mostly rolling terrain with one particularly steep gravel climb on Ashley Hill Rd. If you ride this event, be prepared to keep your water bottles secure as they will fly off with the unmaintained potholes and washboard sections! Also, chain drops are common.
Joy ran a hydration bladder in a Rockbros frame bag that worked perfectly. She had no issues with water bottles flying off.
