- Italian America Television by The Italian American Podcast Proudly Presents "The Italian Garden Project" - Nostalgia For Yesterday, Lessons For Today.
In today's episode, Mary makes a special visit to Bethel Park, Pennsylvania for a tour of Fenice and Nicola Mercurio's amazing Italian Garden.
This illustrious garden is quite a sight to behold. Nicola and Fenice care for it together, enjoying the fruits of their labor, as well as facing the ongoing challenges of gardening in suburban America. The two are determined not to let anything deter them from harvesting the baskets of produce they cook, can and freeze each season. And just wait till you see the fig trees!

There is no way I would have not hugged her. And I am an adamant masker. 🥺😍😍😍
Gotta hug a real Nonna!
Faith, friendliness, sophistication, beauty, food and gardens. Viva Italia! 🇮🇹 ...from a Cuban girl.
Che bello giardino!
Awesome
very awesome!
So beautiful garden 😍
It certainly is!
Nice to see this, wonderful people. I'm afraid after this generation most Italian Americans are becoming too Americanized and losing their culture...
I am very saddened by this. Cali-talian science 67. Via Ohio>Palermo Grandparents.
Wonderful couple ♡ grandioso garden :))
I bet she knows how to cook and he know how to make wine. I wanna go there on a Sunday.
You're right on both counts! Visiting on a Sunday or any day feels like a celebration with amazing food, homemade wine and the gracious hospitality of this warm and welcoming couple!
nice,
this reminds me of the italian gardens in my country, Uruguay, where a lot of the population is from Italian origin, sadly people no longer continue this tradition, sons sell parent´s houses, fig trees are cut down and modernity hides family histories
I'm interested in the FIG trees. What variety are they??? Thanks.
When can I purchase Italian American Project Seeds????
With a small portion of the sale going to support this awesome legacy! 🇮🇹🇺🇲
Feeding time for the horse.
If you need such a servant for this job. That's what makes it work. So you can tell me. Because I know this job well.
But how's their bocci game? 😐
That seems like a really narrow definition of "sandwich", but to each his own!
Bocce
So rude not hugging her just so that you could keep of your appearance of being such a goodie-goodie. Why not edit it out? Because you wanted everyone to see you virtue signaling. Thumbs down. 👎 No matter how beautiful this couple was.
Lovely people. But please, tone down the background music!
SERIOUSLY?!?!?!
You, u, you8-)
