To anyone passing by here, I love reading your comments so much. I wish I could write music for a game like this. If you want to hear some storytelling music, last year I wrote an album titled 'The Untold Story of The Rainmaker', inspired by Dark Souls & Elden Ring. It's been hard to share it with the world due to its narrative nature, that's why I am writing this - but if you have some free time, I'd be so happy to hear your opinions on it. Thank you so much 🤍
for anyone who doesnt know yet go look up the transalted lyrics of this song it contains a bit lore and is really nice how it gives even these smaller enemies pride and dignity
Translation: Alas, that land, once blessed, now has diminished. We brides ,destined to become mothers, now become tarnished. We lamented and shed tears, but no one consoles us. Golden one, at whom you were angry?
The folks I play Elden Ring with are coming to visit me for Halloween! Little do they know, I was an alto in a Catholic church choir, and I can imitate this song pretty damn spot-on. I'm gonna get em.

When i heard this in the game the first time, it was like a sirens song. I was lured to the point of death. To this day, this song penetrates my soul. It brings a calm to my chaos like nothing I've ever heard in my life. No matter how I feel, it can bring me to peace. A saving grace.
same bro, i call them siren not bats or whatever the fuck they are. I went toward the song like a fly curious of whatever singed it, a monster, a woman, a soul..
I fell into a trap like a mouse, the singing was so beautiful it just catches my interest instantly. Is this like a siren or harpy in a game😅 I can’t believe I fell into it so easily

A tarnished warrior a dead who yet lived and called to march one again, rest in nature then he hears a smothering voice singing this song and to his mind comes images of his fallen comrades, those battles fought the things left beg hind to start this journey
When I first heard this song while playing elden ring I thought their some type of singing npc near by but no just a creepy winged bat woman who I had to kill
The cliffside grace for the secret way around the Dectus lift. The area already has low atmospheric chanting as background music so layering this on top sounds amazing and there isn't any weather that happened there in my 3 hours of letting this play out.
They're Demihumans, like the Misbegotten. Once, they were considered sacred, because they incorporated symbols of beasts and that was the sign of being blessed by the Crucible (you can see spells that do this from the Crucible Knights). When the Golden Order established, they were cast out and treated as abominations against it, even though the Erdtree built on what the Crucible established. The song basically laments that in the establishment of the Golden Order, what was once sacred has become reviled, and in so doing, they have become considered accursed. Her final line roughly translates to "Golden one, at what were you angry?" Asking, essentially, what they did wrong and what they can do to regain grace.
