- We know Excel's financial data type feature doesn't really support Crypto currencies very well, so I thought I would share an alternative to import crypto data from the web in Excel.

Quick tip:
Use the NUMBERVALUE formula to convert the data into usable numbers.
How? Example please
@@HV700 =NUMBERVALUE(WEBSERVICE(endpoint&"/"&C4);".";",") The decimal and comma are the separators. Don't forget to convert the cell display format to decimal number by right clicking on top of it and cell format with at least 10 decimal units so it should display coins like SHIBA different from 0.00 to more like 0.0000078300
Thank you for that!
Its "Numbervalue" translated to your language in swedish its totalvärde( )
Thanks!
Thank you man! There is so many crappy sheet extensions or websites with limited API requests...

2024 and it still works great!

You took away my misery.

How to update those values
Thank you man ! How to refresh ?
Hello Bro, Yesterday I realised an error like following coins prices ( ACH;ALPACA etc. ) did you make an update? ACH value comes as "PAY" and ALPACA comes as "Finance" ? Do you know anything about them?
how often does this update?
The price should be live
how to show data in another currency?
Hi, I have problem, if two coins has the same name and excel cant pick up right price what we can do about this. thank you.
Usually the coin ticker name should be unique. I don't think two different coins can have the same name.
@@jiejenn agree, but try TRAC :)
Hello, how do you update the data, thanks.
sorry nevermind, it looks like there is a delay, but it is autoupdating. thanks so much for this video, it has been very helpful.
The price doesn't seem to be a number but some form of text. Am I missing something?
I have the same issue. I want to use the price in a Excel formula but I get #VALUE!
Same !! any solution ?@@sweetsound2981 thx
I receive an error when I try to multiply the cell 'price' by a number in another cell. Is it a formatting issue?
The output is going to return as text. You will need to use function like INT to convert text to a number.
How did he got that “Endpoint” in formula?
Mine is not coming
First you need to rename the cell.
it doesn't work for me, despite I understand what you did. I think my excel doesn't support =webservice(). 😕
me too, is there anyway to incorportate webservice() function?
Webservice may have a different name in your Windows language. For example, Webservice function in German version of Excel is Webdienst
