The perspective you bring to this otherwise intimidating industry is greatly appreciated. Thank you and keep up the outstanding work.
Happy Month.
This Channel deserves < 100,000 subscribers! This guy on his own makes far better videos than all yachting websites and lame Facebook pages together, top quality work!
Thanks kind sir.
Wow, well done Sir! This channel is like no other. If only the yachting industry realized what an asset you could be to them to have you showcase their prized possessions.
Would be nice eh. Thanks for the compliments.
Loving this MYS series, especially the tour on the "battleship". Damn. I watched those two videos three times each!
Yes! More amazing videos. I love your casual, passionate and informative approach.
The more I watch your vlogs,The more I want to learn about these fantastic yachts.
Lurssen is king! Thanks for your great coverage
Lloyd Pictures to me Lurssen and Feadship do no wrong. But I have to admit Aberking & Rasmussen build some pretty eye catching yatchs. Excellence side profile is just sick the more I see her the more I love her ‼️ But ‘Tis , Amadea ( both Lürssen ) and Feadship’s Syzgy 818 were my absolute favorites from the show.
*FEADSHIP*
Stunningly beautiful yachts. Thanks for sharing.
I hope your channel grows to be well recognized in the yachting community.
Elie Nehme
All 10,000 yacht owners, the only one rich enough to own one. AMAZING, Palaces on the water.
Now two years after your comment we can conclude that it took a war for your hope to come true.
(Dark irony)
I got into yacht "watching" because of Octopus. I used to follow it around the world and hope to see close up pictures. Had to follow it through online forums in the day and often pictures from people on cruise ships. Keep up the good work, go Octopus!
Octopus is still probably my favourite yacht, along with Pelorus
Flying Fox is sick too.
Your in-depth reporting is awesome! Thank you!
Really enjoyed your coverage of the 2019 MYS, great yachts but I really love the facts and stories you include which makes your videos way more informative for me. Bold was defo the most interesting, well done getting on and the AV guy was great.
You know what, as a ship guy, I can appreciate big yachts, in the same way a that car guy can appreciate expensive cars he will never afford, because I admire the construction, and the work that it took to build and maintain these things, as well as what their capabilities are.
Thank you for giving your followers such fascinating insight into what is a fantasy world for most. Thoroughly enjoyable!!
All these videos in 1 day? you were incredibly busy! Thanks for putting the time in, I really enjoyed your coverage! Favorite was likely TIS, at least for the exterior, the interior isn't really something I connect with either. Really enjoyed the tour of Bold, would love to see more interior tours. This video in its entirety was quite good though. I'd love to see you use how you put together the coverage this year next year, have a full day kind of vlog per day, then more in depth videos on aspects of the show you find interesting. Cheers!
Yeah I walked 22kms in one day! I’m planning to do videos like what you suggest. Just need the time.
That interior looks like something you would see in The Beverly Hillbillies. "Hey maw! They got *two* fancy eatin' tables in this canoe!"
Lots of beautiful yachts, plenty of seaworthy works of art, though I have to say that my heart lies with sailing ships. Theres nothing like a good bermuda-rigged monohull. I dont think there are many at the Monaco Yacht Show but I do think there are some, I would have loved to see them!
Thank you for this wonderful Monaco series.
“What did we take from today?” I can’t afford any of these! 🤨
This video was fantastic... Love your channel and all the information you provide on all these beautiful super yachts. Thank so much for all you do.
Great video! Thank you for taking us with you on the show and for all impressions.
The insurmountable challenge superyacht owners have is that regardless of the size of your yacht, there will always be someone who has a bigger or better or more splendid or more creative one. It is a game you never can win.
That’s only an issue if that’s the game you want to play.
@@eSysmanSuperYachts What else is there left for most of them? I think that giving them new challenges in life would put life and zest into them. I may come and try that sometime. LOL.
I like the big windows on the Excellence, which let you see the ocean and ports around the boat.
My favorite boats were the Woodies. Of all the boat video guys on RUclips, you are by far the most informative , best verbal explanations, precise stats, and seem to be a very humble kind man. If you ever get to Octopus, I hope it’s as Captain!
,
Thanks for taking us along for the tour of the show, Many of us would never been able to see! Your Awesome!
Great vid as always....your editing is spot on - thanks for putting us there with these awesome boats!
Great video. Lots of amazing yachts that left me drooling and dreaming. Thankyou for the tour of what little time you had there. Did an amazing job. Now back to work .:)
Those are some big boys out there. Damn.
M/Y Dragon is the only superyacht ive seen so far that is running the flag of Panama, interesting. Great coverage of the show !
The AV insight on Bold was great.
Well eSys...another great Monaco series. Greatly appreciated!!
One day soon I hope to get over there with my cheque book in hand...
i still love M.Y. TIS....She is just awesome .... great to see you about top video footage as always , cheers
4:50 oh I see what You done there ;-)
Keep the videos coming, really enjoy them.
Thank you for allowing me to learn new things.
The tun explanation - with the barrel information (and Displacement) was fascinating and quite logical. Thanks for the informative video. Incredible looking yachts too!
Love your videos here.. great insight to the many yachts out there..
After searching .. I keep coming back to the Octopus 🐙..
Its without a doubt one of my favorites so if I ever do purchase it.. I'll be sure to track you down..
All the best there and stay safe..
For sure the highlight of this year's show was the 2nd tour of MY Bold! Thanks for sharing. Hopefully, as folks see the content you produce you'll get more opportunities.
Thanks, yes hope so.
Great video as always! 👍
my god I love all your videos and I am in love with all of the yachts absolutely beautiful yachts
Another excellent video, well done.
4:50 Nice "sterns"...
I'm with you man. My floor plans are always in flux! Not building it until I know where shark tank goes!!!
Lies, lies, lies, you're just ashamed that you can't decide on a colour scheme!
Really enjoy your videos, I think you're getting some traction too. Keep up the good work.
Brilliant thank you ......
WOW! I've followed you almost from the beginning and What A Change You've Made!!! Not only is the content slick and informational but you look Great! Greatly appreciate this piece and the yachts were incredible! Clearly you're growing because you are getting sponsors---GOOD FOR YOU!!! Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the kind words, but I don't have any sponsors.
During the piece at least in the US in Washington State it was interrupted at least 4-5 times for advertisements. So I thought that you were starting to be known enough that products would want to be highlighted on your Vlogs. If not they should be and paying you for the ad space!!!
Thank you for all the details you provide since it save me a lot of diggings, that means you are doing it for us. It is why I like your videos so much. I am personally not a fan of the shape of M/Y Excellence, to me it look like a sub, for approximately the same size, I would take Secret. Tks again and awaiting for your next one.
Great coverage!I wish I could get there one day.
Another great video
love okto such a beautiful boat
Lurssen never disappoints
Nice Video. Thank you for your Service
Another great film! Love the styling & interiors of M/Y Okto. Not as big as the others featured, but would be my dream yacht if funds allowed lol
OKTO seems to be for sale for many years now. No idea why it's not selling?
awesome!
I work at a marina just outside Boston Mass, as a dockhand excellence is the nicest m/y I ever docked amazing crew amazing vessel
Love the A&R design, very daring and at the same time, in my eyes, retro
Did you notice (on TIS) all the stairs (out and in) have the same shape, its like a signature
great Great GREAT Vlog!!!!
Good Job. Thanks !
That's steel pan playing in the back ground at 14.32 ok we LOVE IT
I immediately thought of M/Y A when I saw that as well!
Judge Dredd the bow most definitely yes, but Excellence entire body is completely unique and Excellence decks are just so sick so luxurious and inviting looking. I can close my eyes and imagine myself on the aft deck as she cruises Croatia , Greece and heads for Capri 😍😍
Thx for another great informative video,
Excellent work, Ace video.
Paint job looks SO good Raf, (regardless I still have to say it, Only😉)
Thank you for the video.
Watched this a year ago when you just posted it but still love it today a year later, I do want to cry thinking about the repaint job of Tis
Excellent information Thank you.
Phoenix ² has some stunning art deco interiors
keep it up always new stuff
Great video series
May I suggest something? - a video explaining the difference in major boat/yacht show around the world, I mean what each show is cater for or known for. New or old, big or small boats. Would they be open to public or industry players only. Something like that. Would be very informative for us.
MUHAMMAD ADIB AB WAHAB there is no difference except the Country of the location. Its a global industry.
@@mspartybootdeutschlandgmbh1301 pretty sure fort Lauderdale and Monaco are quite different.
@@muhammadadibabwahab2446 Monaco certainly has better looking hookers...
The boat in gold I am pretty sure is a Palmer Johnson, their newest, with a hull that includes sponsons like a hydroplane.
@George Yes but do they have a more advanced design than this boat for sale? I have not seen anything from them myself.
Palmer Johnson ceased to exist years ago
@@williamdrijver4141 Boy, that will comes as a shock to the people who work there......www.palmerjohnson.com
Great vid thank you
Great content, been watching your videos..new sub. mate!
don't stop keep pushing you get that job one way or another just got to have that the termination and I see that you have it
Every time you exclaim. "What is that?" I laugh. :-)
2:40 “Tunnage Tax’, never knew that!
Motor Yacht Tis is beautiful. I love it when super yachts put beautiful wood like classic ships. I am not a huge fan of the interior, though. Very classy in my opinion.
Yacht Sensei, words fail me, but, cinematic success! My interest in your videos, are only surpassed by your devotion to this content. I hope you consider Patreon for your channel. Thank you!
Best boat FRASER
I think this is another one of Herb Chambers' yachts. He has built and owned many excellence yachts by A&K.
Only if octopus was mourned in the actually Marnie, great vid btw
Yeah....
Always was kinda curios about Octopus' interior layout...
Not enough room in the marina, or they wanted to keep media / non serious "buyers" at a distance?
@@williamdrijver4141 well you think that only serious buyer would be looking at octopus.
@@Lemmy_fenriz Just refitted, but quite a hefty asking price, 295 million euros. You could buy a new 7,000 GT or more yacht / explorer for that money
I’m hooked on your channel
Greetings from Colorado! Were I 40 years younger, M/Y BOLD might have been the boat that lured ME into the yachting industry. Regardless, your tour of BOLD was the best you've done. Certainly it was the Best In Show for me. Your tour guide demonstrated their design principle that simplicity and common sense was the driving force in BOLD's design and construction. Is it not PC to suggest a Germanic foundation the construction?
Great video...
But I'm still curious about a mega schooner Nobiskrug 'A'⛵🇮🇩
Very nice..
I saw the Excellence at the Boston waterfront. Pretty impressive! Owned by Herb Chambers. He owns 50+ car dealerships in the New England area.
All of them
Thank you for all the great videos you have posted. I have learned so much about yachts from your vlog. I too am a long time follower of M?Y Octopus. FYI--syzygy is a term for three heavenly bodies in alignment ie. an eclipse (not Abramovich's)
I think I mentioned that in the video about Syzygy. THanks for kind comments.
I just had to google "Tis", I loved her exterior presence. You were right, her owner is Russian Alexei Fedorychev, who owns the Ukrainian transport company "TIS". At first, I really didn't like the interior, but the more photos I reviewed, she won Me over. I love the "Versailles" palace feel the designer was going for. I also loved the destination theme bedrooms, you can sleep in New York, London, Paris, Marrakech, China, Toscani, and other amazing destinations, just by staying in one of those rooms. A very unique layout. I could easily buy her, that is if I had the $300 millions dollars... ~sighs~ she shall be Mine, if only in My dreams.
Rendsburg is a nice place? :-D Hopefully you have seen more beautiful cities in Germany, too!
Greetings from Kiel ;-)
Interesting, a loose friend of mine must have worked on the Lürssen Yacht, as he said the same thing about the design looking Russian. I was expecting a different style else in my mind though
The "Royal Palace look" you're thinking of is called *Rococo* and it's from the early 18th century.
Nice vid's sir , if your looking to stay for a bit longer next year why not try and book an apartment through air BnB . the block of flats overlooking the harbour are excellent value for money(approx £130 per night) you have a balcony overlooking the whole show and can watch super yachts all day long . there are always new flats coming up all the time . entrance to flats is directly next to harbour police station .
Lol you need a few beers dude!
Thanks for the explanation of tuns, I didn't know where that had come from. Are the super yacht owners looking to smuggle barrels of wine and want to know how many they can fit? :-)
Personally I always want to know the displacement, the actual weight of the yacht.
Great video! is there a couple of quick reasons you like the lursen yachts in particular? interested to know why you might prefer them over something like a fedship. Cheers from Australia
Haven’t decided on my final yacht design either haha but it’d also be built by Lurssen, perhaps similar in design to Northern Star/Polar Star, though I also have a soft spot for the Benetti 145 model if Lurssen’s build queue is too long
Displacement is the total weight of the ship which is equal to the mass of liquid it displaces. Depending on the liquid density the volume of the underwatership will be different and so will the draft of the ship.
10:29 give metal bottles to people cause they want to do sth for the environment, but build Gigayachts....exactly my humor
Gigayachts full of rain forest destroying teak decks, and diesel guzzling engines, German humor I guess
@@williamdrijver4141 every newly built Coal Fired Power Plant in China or India produces the equivalent of 10000 megayachts worth of CO2... maybe put energy towards the real offenders.
Also if long u X-bs bow design needs hammer head front fins, to help plain if small enough or turn ship by dropping left hammer head fin to go left & dropping right hammer head fin to go right. Pitch both hammer fins up angle will cut down on the forward & backward teeter totter effect of going over waves.
Loved it!! Quick side note about Tonnage though. Not sure about the origins of the word as you described (which I think is similar to Net tonnage, the available cargo space). Gross Tonnage is an actual measurement, its the physical space the ship occupies, so the actual volume contained within the ship as a whole structure. How "big" it is. It's used as the basis for taxes, insurance, port dues, pilotage etc and it's a very important measurement. Bang on with Displacement though! Thanks for the great coverage.
No gross tonnage is as I described.
I really love the gold yacht!!! Or the fake gold yacht.lol
