- I did not talk about this build enough in 2019, so I am bringing it back in 2020 to show you how I resin printed and finished a RE-45 from Apex Legends using only a Anycubic Photon 3d Printer.

Having a really hard time hearing you over the music at the beginning. It gets better later on.
Sorry about that! I used a slightly different audio setup for editing this one and I did notice the music was a tad louder, I'll tweak the levels next time! :)
This guy should have a lot more subscribers, he’s so fun to watch
love the build. Fun gun in the game, gave a sub for the build.
Thanks, I am debating doing a Deathray Wingman or Volt SMG build video soon-ish.
Another beautiful video
Thank you!
Practicing trigger discipline on a plastic prop.
My man.
Anything remotely realistic shape engages my muscle memory lol.
I recommend using wet and dry sand paper wet with a drop of detergent. Keeps dust down.
Just finished watching this. Insane effort. I have a few models im working with. Ive completed a medix gun. Id love to send one over and you can review my work. Cheers!
You should do an R-99 video, i flippin love that gun!
Very useful! What are your printing settings? (Exposure Time etc..) Thanks!
If you ever need to break apart a super glue bonds try sticking it in the freezer for a couple of hours, frozen super glue is super brittle and breaks apart easily. I'm not sure how that will affect SLA resin... but it works great with Warhammer models.
It's definitely a good trick, but sadly less useful for SLA prints as I noticed on the acrylite based resins (not Siraya Blu) is that its very brittle in cold temperatures below freezing.
does the slide work?
Another tip for seams is Apoxie Sculpt or take the resin dust that you sand away and mix a little super glue with it.
Good recs though I would recommend FreeForm Air over Apoxie Sculpt for easier sanding smooth.
Hiro Creations you have to apply the Apoxie Sculpt carefully and it’s easier to sand away after 2hrs of dry time vs 24hrs when it becomes rock hard.
Can you do the wingman from apex?
Hiro, any chance you have one of these for sale on a shop soemwhere??? i want one so bad
can i print this with a Ender Pro 3???
Can you put in discreption a dowoland link for that model i really would want to 3D print one myself please 🥺
Me too pls
Is your website up and running yet? I still would like to see if you can work on something for me. Also what the cost is?
where di you get your files from?
Cool vid only conplaint is it was sometimes hard to hear your voice over the music but otherwise a very awsome project.
Thats bad ass! Can you share the STL?
Thanks! I'm in the process of reorganizing my website and making more STL files easier to find. stay tuned on that. :)
You need to practice in building and placing supports manually (Auto Support sucks). It takes time, however it will make the post processing of the parts much easier since the damage to the parts will be minimal.
Also sand before curing. It removes material a lot faster.
Yep I really did, to be fair I built and filmed this a year ago and my support placement and settings have gotten a lot better (I also learned not to cure parts before support removal). I can't wait to edit and share the newer builds.
Hiro Creations If your part has a lot of straight lines, you could just place them straight up on the build plate with minimal or no support.
New subscriber to the channel. Good video, but did have one question. How much Resin did you use? It didn't look like you hollowed out the model to cut down on the costs. Keep up the nice content.
I used roughly 1.1 liters of resin including a few fails, the model is semi hollow as I removed interior sections to reduce material consumption, in most of the parts but kept the walls thick to make connecting parts easier.
Oh and welcome to the channel! :)
Do you like using the sponge better than sandpaper?
Yup I like their flexibility on curves.
Hey Yasu, I'm building Deckard's blaster from Blade Runner. I'm having trouble with flat parts that I have supports on. They don't come out perfectly flat but kinda bowed. Like the parts had sagged. I've been printing the parts flat on the build plate but sometimes they warp off the build plate. Please help. Thanks.
Sorry for the late reply (youtube is horrible with comment notifications lately). Without seeing the setup, I'd say you need more supports especially on heavier objects. For large objects that eat most of the build volume I'm in the camp of ultra dense supports. And not sure what printer you are running but I also recommend slowing down the lift speeds so that it gently peels the part off the FEP sheet.
@@HiroCreations Hey thanks for the reply. Much appreciated. Your recommendations make a lot of sense. I'll try the dense supports. The slow lift also sounds like great advice. I'll try that too. Thanks again Yasu.
Did you export the gun from the game files into Blender?
Nope I designed it from scratch with Fusion 360
I really don't like game rips as they lack key details and don't always print well.
I just bought one of these. I don’t wanna get cancer. If you’re the one selling them on Etsy, once it arrives will I have to be worried?? get back to me when you have a chance because it’s almost here lol😂
Where did you get the 3d model?
I modeled it myself.
how much resin was this?
Can't remember but it was a little bit less than 1kg.
@@HiroCreations thank you
They never show how to CURE the Resin x.x that's very important.
can you not use a resin printer
Yep the model is printable with a filament FDM printer albeit you will have to spend more time sanding to get rid of the print lines and seams.
You should make it into an airsoft gun
Is there a way to purchase one of these? (And if so is it over $100 lol)
Alas no, I got out of the commissions game as I sadly don't have time anymore.
@@HiroCreations aww ok
