Wish you were my old man mate, I'm here fixing my GTI on my own and it's just felt like a neverending disaster, your son is going to absolutely love driving the car when he can
Don't give up mate.....build your dreams with your own two hands - when the time is right, pass your skills and passion on to your kids. It's a cool legacy to have, and I love every second of it! (P.S. - My kids are an excuse for me to have more old cars too!!!)
Gracias! Ecuador es un hermoso país que está lleno de aventuras y grandes autos y bicicletas. Gracias por los comentarios positivos y ponga a Australia en su lista de viajes, ¡ya que nos encantaría verlo en algún momento en el futuro!
When I was preparing my doors for painting I destroyed the yellow clips you talk about at 2:50. Can you please tell me the way you did it? Did you destroy them also? Can I buy them somewhere?
Hi Patrik, Those little yellow turkeys still haunt us to this day! Luckily we had access to many Suzuki's at the local U-Pull-It wreckers so we gathered up a handful and got through it that way. We have seen them silicone on.....so there are other options. Good luck with the build mate!
My GTi is 32 years old and I would like to make veteran of it. That is why silicone is not an option for me. Good luck to you too, it's beautiful and very fun to drive car

Where is the where abouts of it now ?
Not sure actually.....it was painted black and sold locally. Haven't seen it since unfortunately.
It's called Cultus where I live and its four door
Same brand completely different car
It's so hard finding parts these days for these things...
You are not wrong, and there are a lot of lower-spec Suzuki SOHC parts floating around, but the GTI twin cam stuff is really hard to find....anywhere!
@@theoh2garage861 for that reason I've decided to buy a new car and work on it as a future ongoing project. Parts will not be an issue this way.
How yu fot sedan doors on a gti dude 😭😭
Vim pelo swift...
Thank you!
