As a retired police officer you have given great advice. Especially regarding the security staff just following their orders.
Sounds like the people making the decisions were just not all on the same page. Hopefully this does not affect your future entry at this same casino. You handled it very professionally!
You were so calm and professional. I have 20 years of experience in the hospitality (noncasino) business, and most people throw a fit, which doesn't help anybody. It can then, and has, escalated to calling the police. It's so not worth it. With that, I'm super curious to see if the casino contacts you to apologize. Your video is not good publicity at all!

There was confusion between the casino staff on Monday & Wednesday. On Monday, Marc & Dave asked about filming and were told it was OK with some restrictions. Different story on Wednesday. Watch the prior & future YT videos.

You said the security guy was the one enforcing the order given to him. Was it seen on their TVs of u filming and then the order went down?

Bob Nersesian says the you should always run out of a casino so that it looks like you are guilty of something.
If i got tresspassed for too long id have to get a job again. Ive been living off casino wins since December 2022. Making more $ than any job in 32 years of employment. My worst day at the casino is way better than my best day at work ever. I dont have to answer to anybody, i don't have to deal with customers. I make more $.

Good Morning Dave, was sorry for what happened I don't understand why you can film ond day no problem and next time it's different and to bar you from Casino and can't go back for 24 hours. You definitely kept your 🆒. But I would have 💭 more Casino's to go to and forget that one since it's still in the Ice Age. Lol😂😂. I hope the rest of your time was Blessed and keep on smiling you and Marc make my day especially when having hard time. As always a friend from Kentucky.

About a dozen years ago, I got trespassed from a Caesar's property in Vegas for counting cards. They had all my info, and I was told that I was never allowed back in any of their properties. About a month later, I asked a friend (who worked in management at another of their properties) to see what info was on my player's card. She looked and saw no mention of the trespass. And I also continued to get hotel offers (which was pretty funny), so no communication with marketing either. So basically.....while I wouldn't enter the specific casino where it happened again (in case a security guard remembered me) or I wouldn't gamble in their properties again in any way that could ever necessitate giving my ID for a jackpot, it's not like some facial recognition buzzer goes off when you walk in the door. So I've never hesitated to enter any other Caesar's properties since to meet friends for dinner or pass through, etc.

@@GambleSmart I figured it wasn't worth the effort (since Vegas casinos are so paranoid about counters that I knew my playing time would be short-lived anyway). Should mention though that back then, the Caesars places seemed to be run a lot more haphazardly than most other large companies. So if someone had this happen at an MGM property or Venetian/Palazzo, things might unfold differently. But that's the only trespass I've ever had from a major spot, so can't compare personally. Usually it's just "no more blackjack"

I've been going to the casinos for 20 years and I have never heard of being trespassed. What kind of things would get you trespassed? And what if you are staying there? I usually gamble at the casino I stay at. What happens to the stuff in your room? I usually leave my car keys in the room along with my winning tickets (in the room safe).

I got banned from a illegal game room...reason was they believed I was fishing their machines...I left and it wax the best thing ever...I saved lots of money and that place was later busted and everyone inside went to jail...lucky local lesson 😂😂
I'm guessing someone thought you weren't allowed to film and the person on duty kicked you out. Never be a problem for me since even if I did film, nobody would watch it anyway. Other reasons people might get thrown out is because they were really drunk and unruly, or simply acting like uncivilized for some reason. I can't stand people screaming at the tables when they win like $20. It's really annoying and those people should be banned. I know its not a church or golf tournament but act like you've been there before. Nobody cares that you just won $15 at blackjack. I recently won a handpay at a local casino, first handpay in 7 years. $1497 jackpot on a $12.50 bet free games on Lightning Link High Stakes. Landed the chip twice and one chip was even bigger than the major. But I didn't scream or yell when I won it. I just sat there calmly and waited for the person to get my info and pay me. I did tip $40, I feel that was a reasonable amount.

Just watched a woman in Detroit who won 125k jackpot black jack. Then refused to pay her, bc 8 yrs ago she was trespassing,but she has been gambling there since for 8 yrs. She said she was told that night it was 24 hrs and reason for that was bc they said she was panhandling. She didn’t even know what that meant. They told her she was seen taking money from another lady, who was her cousin. Anyway, she is now suing that casino. I mean bad publicity for 125K 😮😮😮

what does it mean to be trespassed?
what are the typical reasons someone gets Trespassed VS Banned? Wondering if Trespassed is more public scene/acting like a Jackass? VS you think of being Banned from a casino you often think for winning too much? Besides suspecting you're counting cards, it seems silly to think casinos are quick to ban a player permanently for getting lucky? Everyone understands casinos hate to lose, but they can't be in a super rush to ban every player who gets lucky in the short term can they?
If casino security cuffs you - it's considered false imprisonment.
That depends on the jurisdiction. Chances are that if you get cuffed by security, they most likely have the right to do that.
I'm sure they had on security camera you going to ask for the correct protocol so you don't get in trouble.
What does a person do to get banned or trespassed?
Cheating, counting cards, anything that looks suspicious/out of the ordinary, to name a few.
Also, carrying in a bag with video equip, evidently! 😉

IF you had approval to video from the Floor Manager, why didn’t you ask to speak with him? Or, have Security talk with him. If you get permission to video, why not get a business card from the Slot Manager?
Exactly. You guys video all the time. Isn’t there a proper protocol to follow to get pre approval beforehand with some type of paper verification?
DTM goes to casino events to record and he always has the name of a person when asked by security.
Just my thoughts.
I was once trespassed from 2 casinos in Mesquite, after playing just 25 minutes of Blackjack at one of them, so I can relate. I was trespassed from 8 Nevada casinos in just one year, living in Las Vegas. I have since moved back to Iowa, where I have never even been backed off once as a player, which I think is largely due to it all being 6 deck, and a natural tolerance for low-stake counting.

What happens if you got banned or trespassed from a casino you’re staying at?
They will refund the unused days but you will have to pack and leave in most cases.

True but its ridiculous. You are giving them free advertisement. I can understand if you cant video the floor but just the machine should b totally fine. Still though lots if folks want to know what a place looks like before you go. I will not go to a place if I hear they do this so they lost a customer. Pretty sure they just lost some future customers because of their stupidity. Thats how I look at it.
This is off topic but I was wondering are casinos required to post the percentage payout on slot machines? I've noticed some casinos don't. 🤞 Crossing my fingers you answer 😎
They are not , you can get the records from your state gaming commission and do the math, however it’s historical data and will not predict future outcomes or %

My wife self excluded for a year but returned a few months later. She won a jackpot and told them it was mine. In MI they check the video for tax purposes and said they needed her ID instead. The tribal police trespassed her, ticketed her, started the year over and the casino kept the jackpot. They trespassed me 24 hrs for my part and escorted me out. My next visit I was followed around. Every time I looked up the same 2 people were watching me and I overheard the phrase “tried to collect a jackpot”

This is my thought when you get banned for filming they are doing a dis service to theirselves. You were giving them free advertisement. Now they just got bad publicity. When people get banned for this I will not ever go to that casino period.

Do you think after 1 year to prove innocence such as doing therapy, a clean background check, drug test, driving record for the Director of Security to review through mediation will be the best to reverse a ban?
Nothing you can do will affect a ban, unless you contact the casino and see if there is a remediation.

They did not know what was going on, i had not filmed. After they told me i could not, i said ok, and went to the car to put my bag up. When i came back , they said 24 hour tresspass. No reason beyond they did not know what was going on.

When did this happen? Filming at Winstar is legal and lots of you tubers do it.
@@thomasatkinson5081 Last Sunday. Here's the video, this was the 2nd time. At the end you can hear him telling me and I'm like let me finish filming my bonus round 😁. He pulled out the rules card and everything.

I believe you, I am just saying Dave and Marc in the above video films there, JDub slots and lots more film there. Maybe the guy has an old rules card. I will try to check with management myself the the next time I am there. Also you can film at the Border which I think but not sure Winstar has a stake in.

This is not doing much for encouraging folks to visit casinos. If someone needs to make a video detailing what to do, then it's a way too common experience. It seems like casinos exist to bully folks and take their money.

A security guard is not a law enforcement officer. They do not have powers of arrest. So if he cuffs or grabs you, he/she better have a good defense. There are many cases of lawsuits and security guards going to jail for even touching a person. Security guards are supposed to contact actual law enforcement to initiate a trespass, since trespassing orders are a lawful act. This video might be misinformation of people's rights under the law.

Anyone in society can go hands on with anyone depending on the circumstances involving a criminal act in progress. But considering I well versed in the legal. I promise if you grab anyone over a simple trespass, you will go to jail and be sued.
