Triumph adv rider here… Emily, you don’t have to wait, just put your hand out and ask people to stop while you take a million point turn. You’d be surprised.
Hi Naveen, thank you so much for the super thanks!! That's so very kind of you and we really appreciate your support 😊🙏 Cool that you ride a Triumph adv bike - India has so much freedom with where you can ride 😎. Thanks for the tip - we will be sure to put it into action 😎💪
Found your channel recently and binged watched all the episodes like a web series. There is such feel good factor and genuinity in your vidoes, which is hard to come by in videos coming from westerners coming to India. You guys have been exploring places which even I’d not dare to go even and that too on motorcycle. Good luck to you guys, will follow your journey and I hope your experience about India gets better and better and you guys come back next time with a huge community to help you plan your next trip better.
Hi! Wow thanks for watching 😊🙏🏻 so glad to hear you have enjoyed the videos! We are really glad that you have felt our enthusiasm for India -it’s a wonderful country with such friendly people. There’s so much to see in India that this short tour has made us realise we will have to keep on returning to explore more 😊. Thanks again 🙏🏻
Nice video. We just visited Kerala 4 months ago. So many places to see. Kerala was voted 13th best place to see out of 50 in the world, by New York Times in 2023. Hopefully you two can visit soon. Sri Lanka is right next door too. There are so many things to see all over India. I like the research that Emily is doing before visiting a place, that’s the best way to travel India.
Thanks Matt, Glad you had a good time in Kerala. It looks a great place with lots of places to explore. Didn’t know it got voted 13th maybe it’s going to be the new Goa. Sri Lanka is on the list too -so many places 😆. Thanks for watching 😊🙏🏻
@ I have been to Goa as well. I like them both equally because lot of people speak English, slew of good beaches, people are real friendly, lot of activities to do etc. I have never visited Sri Lanka, but my cousin& family visited recently and they loved it. Please take care and safe travels. Enjoy!
Well despatching in London in the early 80's was a good preparation for riding in India. Plenty of riders have survived India from the UK so he'd have plenty of competition......... and most have done it on smaller and less powerful bikes.....
@soaruk3697 nothing like riding in London - in London there's rules and everyone has learnt to drive. So you think riding a 230kg bike plus luggage is easier than a 150kg bike lol
Loved your videos…I have been binge watching…I have lived all of my life in Bombay…always dreamt of seeing the southern india…thank you so much guys…stay safe❤
Thanks very much! It's so nice to hear you have been enjoying the videos 😊🙏 Here's the playlist incase you missed any: ruclips.net/p/PLl_mRzVHVQ0wJPbyexi3mOgrm1tK3x-CL&si=i33PRC8sZ6IcvVpn
A super fireside watch, perfect for a freezing UK! What a beautiful breakfast room, views and interesting selection to eat and along the road, the pastries looked yummy, even if they came with a kick. You negotiated your way through some chaotic traffic, like a local, it must make riding along those quiet, pretty roads, a doddle.
Hope some of the heat of India radiates through the screen 😊 This was one of our favourite meals -they use a lot of coconut in the breakfast dishes in this state which is really nice ....a stark contrast to the full spicy curry breakfasts we tried in other states 🤣. Getting used to the roads now 😎👍
Hi guys , Minus 5 in Scotland as I watch this !! Cant even get the car out never mind the bikes haha. Keep the vids coming as its only thing worth watching .
Hi John, minus 5 and snowed in! Scotland must look so beautiful with the white blanket... although no fun for you 😱. Thanks so much we will try and keep up although we've got plenty of past playlists on here too 😊🙏
Sean, you must visit KRS Garden at Mysore, the best time is around 5 pm. You can see day light view of the Garden after that you can enjoy the lighting and musical fountain show after 6.30 pm. Love you from Bengaluru...
Watching ur videos really brings out the differences between solo travel in a foreign country and travelling with a like minded companion. The former makes you reach a state of resonance with your environment quite quickly, whereas the latter helps you stay in your bubble for a lot longer. Not trying to say one's better than the other, just something i noticed. Hope you had a great journey back up!
Don't agree with that logic, having done both solo travel and travel with Emily i would never want to travel alone again. Being able to share and talk about every experience with the person that you love and motivating each other along the way is priceless.
Hey Brian, there's lots of accidents in India (the statistics are scary!) but you are right we were fortunate not to see any other than small bumps. Haha it can be stressful indeed 😝
Hi Sean and Emily! The reason there is less dependence on Wifi in India is because the mobile internet is really fast and quite cheap. It's quite common for mobile internet (5G) to routinely work at around 1 Gbps in most cities. So, unless you are at someone's house, the WiFi at establishments and other places is generally serviceable, but nothing to talk about. You could expect a 75-100 Mbps one in most cases, and the farther you are from general population in cities and towns, the lower this gets. Or sometimes it could be one of those places that just have poor Wifi and don't bother. Glad to see you guys having fun! Have watched a few of your videos, and they are pretty good! Cheers!
Hi Ian! Great to hear you are enjoying the videos! Wow that's a lot of videos to get through by the end of January - we had better get making some more 😁. The other series have drone footage in but as it was illegal to bring a drone in and operate one as a foreigner in India we left it behind (it's actually a military offense). Thanks for watching 😊🙏
Hey Sean & Emily, Nice to see you'll dive right into the Kerala cuisine!! What you'll had for Breakfast was Appams and Iddiyappams (Noodles like) with stew & curry. Yes, rice is staple here & lot of coconut & coconut milk is used in the preparations. Looked like a nice resort, the one you'll stayed in. Tipu Sultan's palace in Mysore is worth the visit. Enjoy yourselves!! Ride safe & tc
We really loved the breakfast here!! The use of coconut in the breakfast dishes was fantastic and a pleasant change form the hot spicy breakfast curries of other states. Yeah the resort was really nice and in a good location too. Wish we had had more time to stay in Kerala but now we know it's a place we want to come back to 😎🙏
These videos have been amazing it’s such a different country there so interesting the way of life is so different everything looks so different but very cool what a adventure and like I said before Sean your riding skills are top notch I’ve been riding bikes since I was 15 and now 58 pretty sure I could not ride there but still awesome trip
Hi Jeff, it really is fascinating to explore a country that is such a contrast to what we know. We understand that to some riding through these towns is normal to them and they question why we are there but as you said it's fascinating to see and is what you get from motorcycle travel. Really appreciate you complimenting the riding - nice to hear from someone that is a really experienced rider himself. 😊🙏
Welcome back .. thats an appam called ney pathiri [ it's a typical North kerala appam fried in oil ] it goes best with beef mutton or chiken curry ❤❤❤ you got idiyappam and normal appam . .❤❤❤
Hope you are enjoying the epic road trip in India 🇮🇳. You were such a lovely couple & I love the little chit chat you were having on your way and your opinion on the different experiences in your journey. God bless you guys... ❤❤❤ 🇮🇳 🇬🇧 🤝
That’s a nice temperature to ride in when we were in Kerala in Jan we had mesh jackets on and most days was 41-43 we were exhausted at the end of each day
We had ordered mesh jackets before the trip but the wrong ones arrived -doh. But these suits were actually not too bad in these temperatures but 41-43 would have been another story altogether! Yeah the heat does just take it out of you, can't imagine what those higher temps would have felt like!
That's vatteppam ... Fermented sweet rice batter that is poured into a mold and steamed ... It may taste different in some parts and you can accompany the rice cake with beef roast or chicken roast and it taste good together
India is best explored on a motorcycle. This is the tour I wish more people did instead of flying into cities. 70% of Indian population lives in the rural areas which is peaceful, cleaner and greener. You gave a glimpse into the lives of majority of Indians who are unfortunately very rarely represented in Indian travel videos.
Thank you so much for your comment, it's nice to hear you appreciate the route that we took. Indeed it was important to us that we experience and share rural India as that to us is the real India. We hope you enjoy the rest of the series 😊🙏 ruclips.net/p/PLl_mRzVHVQ0wJPbyexi3mOgrm1tK3x-CL&si=wnHgtp2QDTh-nP2i
Thanks very much. Yeah we would love to visit other parts of India! But this was just a short tour of the South so we look forwards to returning and exploring some other parts of India like the Far East 😎🙏
Another excellent vlog glad to see you guys enjoying the quiet times with little walks either around towns or in the fields. Think you just about got away with the comment about Emily’s bottom Sean 😂 keep the vlogs coming 👍
Thanks Nigel! Yeah the quiet times are some of the most memorable moments - nice to listen to nature and be able to hear yourself think 😊 Haha i had got away with it until you brought it up again lol 🤣 Plenty more on the way 😎👍
The sticky white stuff Emily said she didn't like is actually fermented, that's why it has a weird taste, plus sometimes they add coconut alcohol to it, I think making the taste even weirder, it's an acquired taste, so not everyone is going to like it on their first try. Also, it could have been that it wasn't made right, hence making it taste bad. There are people who do know how to make it taste really good.
Hi sean and emily, Nice that breakfast was less spicy than some of your early ones, More mayhem on the roads, I guess the roads in Switzerland seem empty in comparison, I chuckled 😅 when emily had a taste of your fruity cake and I didn't think you were getting it back, shame you didn't get to see any elephants, they are my favourite animal, look forward to your next video, Best wishes from Roy in England 👍 😊.
Hi Roy, never have we been so grateful for a breakfast like this!! The use of coconut in the breakfast dishes was indeed a welcome change to the super spicy breakfast curries of other states! Yeah you are right, driving the other day without the radio on in the car i thought i had gone deaf as it was so quiet and everyone on the road was driving to the rules and completely predictable 🤣...almost boring in comparison lol Yeah would have loved to have seen a wild elephant, they had elephant camps but it's too heart braking to see them chained up and that's not something we would ever support. Thanks Roy and catch you in today's episode 😎👍
Emily's comment on being in India at 39 mins . . . totally agree with that . Couple of observations . . eating with left hand is not done really . . . . and shame we're not seeing you interact with people you meet , usually Indian people love to be on the pictures that are taken . Great to see you settling into it , all the best on the journey . 👍
Hi to the botn of you 😊loved the slow start of the day with breakfast and rice Fields stroll😊. Those animal 🐒 Park are amazing 😮. Those damed officials always trowing a wrench in the plans 😂 and the pedestrians they just dont care if they are in the way 😂. What a crazy place India is in so many levels😮the towns, the buildings, the food, the people is mindblowing😮. See you in the next one ❤
Hey Joe, Yeah we love breakfast time too and starting the morning with a nice relaxing stroll before the chaos continues 😝. Haha no they don't -just gna linger in the middle of the road without a car in the world 🤣 It really is, there's always something going on and you don't know what to look at sometimes . Catch in the next one 😎👍
The owner of the hotel said it was really difficult since the landslides and not many people were visiting the area this year. Hopefully the people come back as it was a lovely hotel. Haha maybe if we had followed him any longer we would have ended up at his house for dinner 🤣
Next when you do breakfast lunch or dinner ask the local people as to what is the combination, I mean which dish goes with what curry and then only you will get to know the real taste of the Indian food ❤❤❤❤
Its good to see you guys eat local local food. In Mysuru you can try the Mutton Pulao from Hanumanthu Mess and you can also try out the local sweet Mysore Pak.
Fantastic video once again.... One tip.. don't guess what the dish is.. just ask the guys. Technically Appams are not noodles. The chutneys are just that... Not marmalade. Even for me it is tough to guess what the Currys are... But I ask and then I know better 😊
@SeanandEmily this was just a suggestion.. entirely upto you. We normally ask before ordering what the main ingredients are and what it is called locally. Anyway, following your journey closely.
Enjoyed that guys …… Sean I’m surprised you didn’t ask for my advice regarding identifying those spiders after me demonstrating my expertise with the ones that bit Em’s foot the other day 😐 also that road you were looking for the elephants on was of course a trunk road 🐘 🤔
Thanks Tony, in all honesty we could have done with your expert opinion as they were for sure not the bitey bitey variety but could well have been the big webby webby spider 🤔🤣 Haha it sure was but we didn't see any so it was Irrelephant 🤣
I fell 2 times in rain, both during night, on my way from office to home. 1st time was in Bangalore , my bike slipped after hitting pothole which was camouflage by rain puddle. 2nd time was in Hyderabad, where road i was driving vanished( unfinished and there was no warning sign) and i fell into muddy water cratered by rain. Both times i was saved because i was driving at 30 kmph with full sleeves, helmet and biker gloves
Sorry to hear you had those falls, rain really can make for some more hazardous conditions and you did the right thing by slowing down and wearing the riding gear! 😎👍
18:13 you are tooo late to start rood trip morning 7: 00 am will start this root will open that time you can see more verity of animals and Elephant may of them. You missed it😢
the theory is that a bike requires litimed space to pass through so the car or bus will keep you that much of space to pass.... and the horn from them is to let you know that they are coming through in case your mind is on autopilot mode and not really bieng attentive... and truckers and all like to pass though because they dont like losing their momentum
It's not acceptable to cut corners like this at these speeds, this bike with luggage is wider that most bikes and a lot of the time there is nowhere for the bike to go as there are often potholes or other vehicles parked on the left. Better they change down a few gears than take someone's life.
Love the content! For some reason, I keep finding myself watching videos of roads I’ve ridden on before 😂. It's common for drivers to overtake on the wrong side, even when there’s a two-wheeler-or sometimes even a four-wheeler 😅-in their path. In most cases, it’s just assumed that you’ll make room by moving to the side of your lane, and the driver usually factors in that there’s enough space for you to adjust (unless they’re being complete dickheads). As for honking in India, the softer honks are often just a way to signal that someone is behind you or approaching-it’s less aggressive than it might seem. To be clear, I’m not defending rash driving or this style of overtaking-it’s just how things often work here. Since our roads aren’t as structured as in the West, a lot of riding and driving rely on intuition and mutual understanding.
Great that you're enjoying the content! 😎👍 and cool that you recognise the roads. Yeah even though we didn't agree with the way of driving by the end of the first week we were doing the same so not to have an accident ....it you can't beat them join them 🤣
Personally I have visited this place several times and I loved a lot, I don’t know what you read but it not true, they take care of each elephant like there own babies.
We don’t have so much time and we don’t want to miss Hampi. Yes of course every person in India wants us to come visit their home town but we don’t have 10 years to dedicate to this 🤣
@@SeanandEmily That's why I said it's your choice. If every person in India wants you in their hometown ,10 year dedication won't serve the purpose .You would need at least 100 years 😃.Riding through India and actually seeing the place is two different things.

In India Beeping is more about letting you know than to just say u are in the wrong move etc. Its basically look out. Coming through Let me go Im coming form behind make way :P
I saw Emily wondering why the car guy honked at you. In India there is a whole language made of beeps. That short beep was to make you aware he is gonna overtake. Personally, I feel honking unnecessarily must be stopped, but its already a culture here.
@ First time behind the wheels in Australia, I honked at a round about to let others know my presence and I got stared down. I had absolutely no clue at that time why my "kind" gesture was looked down upon🤪
Internet is one thing that people usually don't complain about in India! Cheap and fast internet is available throughout the country Buy a local Jio sim if you can, that's how you'll be able to get fast and cheap 5g internet throughout the country. WiFi in hotels can be a hit or miss
Well in this instant we did not have any signal or reception from either the local sim or the wifi. No need to stress about it every country has internet/signal black spots.
Triumph adv rider here… Emily, you don’t have to wait, just put your hand out and ask people to stop while you take a million point turn. You’d be surprised.

What a nice and peaceful start of this episode. Nice to see this side of India.
Hi Paul, yeah it really is nice to enjoy the peaceful areas and they are all the more appreciated when you have to ride through chaos to get there 🤣

Another great installment................... You're looking healthier than last week - probably a more agreeable temperature and humidity.
Yeah the drop in temperature was a welcome and we had probably recovered from the jet lag as we had basically missed a nights sleep.
Thank you.
So interesting seeing the change of food when entering a new state like you mentioned.
Another fantastic episode ❤

Yes we will!! Looking forwards to exploring it! 😎👍
Kerala is the best
Many people love Kerala - we need to come back and spend more time there
That's vatteppam ... Fermented sweet rice batter that is poured into a mold and steamed ... It may taste different in some parts and you can accompany the rice cake with beef roast or chicken roast and it taste good together
Interesting, thanks! We're always happy to learn more about local delicacies. 🙏
We hope you enjoy the rest of the series 😊🙏

NAMASTEY.....AWESOME VLOG GUYS SUPERB
Namaste 😊🙏 Thanks very much!
Love to see u guys having fun 🖤
Thoughts about visiting the Far East of India?? The 7 sisters 🖤
Thanks very much. Yeah we would love to visit other parts of India! But this was just a short tour of the South so we look forwards to returning and exploring some other parts of India like the Far East 😎🙏
The sweet one is called "dil-khush" or "happy heart".
yes that bud did argue in between for food!
Thanks 👍
Another excellent vlog glad to see you guys enjoying the quiet times with little walks either around towns or in the fields. Think you just about got away with the comment about Emily’s bottom Sean 😂 keep the vlogs coming 👍
Thanks Nigel! Yeah the quiet times are some of the most memorable moments - nice to listen to nature and be able to hear yourself think 😊
Haha i had got away with it until you brought it up again lol 🤣
Plenty more on the way 😎👍
The sticky white stuff Emily said she didn't like is actually fermented, that's why it has a weird taste, plus sometimes they add coconut alcohol to it, I think making the taste even weirder, it's an acquired taste, so not everyone is going to like it on their first try. Also, it could have been that it wasn't made right, hence making it taste bad. There are people who do know how to make it taste really good.
Ahh yeah maybe that's why -Sean loved it though! 😊
Hellooo from San Andres Island, from Colombia... enjoy your ride today... 🤗
Hola, gracias! 😎 Hope to visit Colombia someday, cool that you are watching 😎👍🏻
Awesome video ❤❤
Thanks 🥰
Yeah you are right, driving the other day without the radio on in the car i thought i had gone deaf as it was so quiet and everyone on the road was driving to the rules and completely predictable 🤣...almost boring in comparison lol
Yeah would have loved to have seen a wild elephant, they had elephant camps but it's too heart braking to see them chained up and that's not something we would ever support.
Thanks Roy and catch you in today's episode 😎👍
Go to munnar to tea plantations and mountains and Alappuzha to enjoy backwaters of Kerala , its the most popular in Kerala
Great tips!
We find interactions with people are better when we are not pointing a camera at them 😊 -we of course have lots of off camera interactions.
@@SeanandEmily Of course , it's a shame we don't see them , it's like a bit of the journey is missing , the people .
Why are you two so formal to each other...relax and enjoy
Guessing something has got lost in translation because we are constantly taking the mick out of each other 😂😂😂
Dont miss bike ride to Ooty Hills .
Thanks 😊🙏
Another lovely place to stop over , how do these places survive, with so little trade, follow that guy he’s going to work 😅
The owner of the hotel said it was really difficult since the landslides and not many people were visiting the area this year.
We're always open to new food recommendations!
Come odisha❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks 😊🙏
Appam, idiyappam 🌾
😎👍
Its good to see you guys eat local local food. In Mysuru you can try the Mutton Pulao from Hanumanthu Mess and you can also try out the local sweet Mysore Pak.
So much variety to choose from. We really enjoyed the breakfast here - the flavours were less intense and more sweet than other states
@SeanandEmily True it's definitely the tamer cuisine amongst the southern states. Andhra definitely takes the cake for spicy food in the south.
Omg I’m from kerala you should visit our state it’s on another vibe
👍🏻
Fantastic video once again.... One tip.. don't guess what the dish is.. just ask the guys. Technically Appams are not noodles. The chutneys are just that... Not marmalade. Even for me it is tough to guess what the Currys are... But I ask and then I know better 😊
Bro we are not going to call someone over every time we want to eat something ....there were literally 10-15 different things. Appam is the pancake.
@SeanandEmily this was just a suggestion.. entirely upto you. We normally ask before ordering what the main ingredients are and what it is called locally. Anyway, following your journey closely.
I love Emily's reaction when someone honking from behind 🤭
Little miss bossy boots doesn't like it from behind 😂
Haha 🤣 ....trying to understand the logic of why someone is beeping in traffic -there is nowhere anyone can go 🤣🤣
Enjoyed that guys …… Sean I’m surprised you didn’t ask for my advice regarding identifying those spiders after me demonstrating my expertise with the ones that bit Em’s foot the other day 😐 also that road you were looking for the elephants on was of course a trunk road 🐘 🤔
Thanks Tony, in all honesty we could have done with your expert opinion as they were for sure not the bitey bitey variety but could well have been the big webby webby spider 🤔🤣
Haha it sure was but we didn't see any so it was Irrelephant 🤣
@ 🙄 that’s worse than mine
The elephants come out at night mostly. Some of them come near to road but it's rare.
Ah okay, good to know 😊👍
Hello guys welcome to India pls come to Dehradun also ❤❤
Thanks 😊🙏
I would recommend you go to Nagarahole National Park.
Thanks 😊🙏
Guys
How do you finding this helmets ?
They are really good! They are lightweight and despite being black don't overheat, great visibility with the large visor too.
Wooow nice explanation😅
Thanks, I’m glad you enjoyed the episode!
come to telangana there are number of beautiful places are there
We will add it to the list for when we return
You missed it😢
Ahhh okay needed to get there earlier 👍🏻
the theory is that a bike requires litimed space to pass through so the car or bus will keep you that much of space to pass.... and the horn from them is to let you know that they are coming through in case your mind is on autopilot mode and not really bieng attentive... and truckers and all like to pass though because they dont like losing their momentum
It's not acceptable to cut corners like this at these speeds, this bike with luggage is wider that most bikes and a lot of the time there is nowhere for the bike to go as there are often potholes or other vehicles parked on the left. Better they change down a few gears than take someone's life.
Try kerala's best food guys. Hope you guys are enjoying Kerala .
Thanks for the tip, we loved it here!
Sweet
😊🙏🏻
Yeah even though we didn't agree with the way of driving by the end of the first week we were doing the same so not to have an accident ....it you can't beat them join them 🤣
That cherry is papaya 😮
🤷🏼♀️🤷🏻♂️
❤
🥰
Personally I have visited this place several times and I loved a lot, I don’t know what you read but it not true, they take care of each elephant like there own babies.
Trip advisor doesn't offer info as it doesn't meet their standards, but maybe things have changed for the better 👍
Not travelling in kerala .You are missing out one of the beautiful places in india.Anyway it's your choice .

👍
those red bits are not cherry they are raw papaya soaked in sugar and dried.
They call tuty fruity in India.
Ahh it that what they were, thanks. Very tasty! 😊
👍👍👍 🏍️
Cheers Michael 👍
In India Beeping is more about letting you know than to just say u are in the wrong move etc.
Its basically look out.
Coming through
Let me go
Im coming form behind
make way :P
Yeah nut unfortunately it's used so much that it loses it's meaning...should be reserved for emergency situations
@SeanandEmily sadly we are are way past recovery for thst in India haha
You must try the best lunch in Kannur at Hotel Karthika! ❤
Lunch only.
Thanks 😊🙏
@SeanandEmily Willkommen 😇
Really nice young pair here, good information abt INDIA
THANKS ✝️
So nice of you
I saw Emily wondering why the car guy honked at you. In India there is a whole language made of beeps. That short beep was to make you aware he is gonna overtake. Personally, I feel honking unnecessarily must be stopped, but its already a culture here.
Agreed the honking is unnecessary - it's done so much that it's impossible to know who is beeping at who and what for 🤣
@ First time behind the wheels in Australia, I honked at a round about to let others know my presence and I got stared down. I had absolutely no clue at that time why my "kind" gesture was looked down upon🤪
Internet is one thing that people usually don't complain about in India! Cheap and fast internet is available throughout the country
Buy a local Jio sim if you can, that's how you'll be able to get fast and cheap 5g internet throughout the country. WiFi in hotels can be a hit or miss
Well in this instant we did not have any signal or reception from either the local sim or the wifi. No need to stress about it every country has internet/signal black spots.
Gotcha! Also no stress lol. Be safe and enjoy your trip
