I think a lot of people just say s*** on here they have no idea what they're talking about did you even listen to that story? You don’t want any president with no checks and balances. We have had combat veteran presidents, namely- our first president. The third one served in the Revolutionary War at 12yrs old and was a British POW...he was also a raving genocidal maniac. His name was Andrew Jackson and he exterminated natives of this country. Our last president to see direct combat with an armed enemy was George H. W. Bush. I’m sure there exists combat veterans out there who could act w/o checks and balances and still do only the exact right thing that represents the majority wishes, but you don’t want to take that risk.

    How can someone that is born in the US be an immigrant, hes just as American as any other that was born in the US. I know when military members are awarded the Medal of Honor they don't think of themselves as heros but the reality is even to veterans like me they risked their own life to save others and is a hero no matter what they say, he could have just as easily ended up in Arlington just as his buddies and to that I say hes a hero.

      @@yashjoseph3544 actually they are disrespecting the nation..they can protest off the clock off the TV. I don't even like football and those clown torque me. I am old enough to remember the scum disrespecting Vietnam vets coming home and spitting on them. I remember when the Vietnam War memorial was built that the same scum called it the black gash. A mark on the US. My uncle went away to fight for this country, his countrymen treated him with contempt and shame.
      These jocks are entertainers. The opinion of entertainers is worth dirt.
      They get paid to do a job. If I protested at my job, no more job.

    • @yashjoseph3544
      @yashjoseph3544 3 года назад

      @@OKBushcraft How are they being disrespectful? They are just kneeling. Nothing else. It's not like they're being disruptive or hurting anyone. Oh, I know what they are hurting. OTHER PEOPLE'S FEELINGS. If you get so triggered over this act, chances are maybe it's YOU that's the problem. Someone who can't understand that we have freedoms. "They can protest off the clock". The classic rebuttal. Protests need to get attention to work. I'm pretty sure they succeeded.
      And don't even try conflating this up to Vietnam. They are not comparable. I don't care about what the people who call the memorial a "black gash" said because I know it's their opinions, and they're allowed to say them. I don't see football players spitting on veterans at games. Don't try to use your uncle's story to push your own nationalist rhetoric. You are disrespecting his name.
      Jobs are different. If you protested at your job and then got fired, then too bad. If the NFL allows it, then I don't care since they have the right to do that. These athletes will be more patriotic then you ever will be because they stood up for something instead of blindly following nationalist propaganda. They're not disrespecting the country. YOU ARE.
