'African Policy Heroes Unveiled: Young African Leaders Share Their Inspirational Stories' explores the dynamic world of leadership within various policy fields across the African continent.
Hosted by a Apiwe Hotele, fellow at the Young African Leaders Programme (YALP) of the Florence School of Transnational Governance, the series sheds light on the challenges and solutions faced by aspiring leaders in Africa starting from an encounter with their personal hero or heroine, that is, the person who has inspired them personally and professionally and guided them on their career path.
In this episode, we meet 2023 Young African Leader Fellow Najwa Wheba. A trained journalist with over 12 years of experience, Najwa is the first female Presidential Spokesperson in Libya, appointed in April 2021 for the Libyan Presidential Council. In 2023, Najwa was selected by the Ministry of Youth in Libya, as one of 40 young influencers with positive contributions in society.
