Short attention span here 3mins in i here. After basic traning you have more training when do i go to school?
Alt hear me out. I’m not scared of dying I’m just scared of not being able to do the exercises.😔
SFC(R) Tohill here... Glad you are doing these video.. Wish I would've had this when I left for basic.. I was so clueless..
I believe a good subject for you to cover is retirement... Retirement should be on every soldiers mind from day one.. How to earn retirement point, the difference between title 10 and title 32 and how to read an RPAMS report.. Good job soldier..
Shipping off to basic tomorrow. 11b. Those of you going to ft Benning this summer, see y'all there!
How was it
@@rone2574 I dont think he made it back bruh💀

Hi Nico, My son starting basic training at Jackson, on November November 1st. (He's a bit nervous understandably about starting Boot Camp in just over 2 weeks. But I know those 9 weeks will fly by faster than he realizes and will be ready and excited for his next step after). I notice you're post has a date of almost exactly a year prior (November 2nd) Wondering how this past year has went for you there?
@@jayviviano109 I went in 2020, it was very cold and rainy but totally doable, the drill sergeant’s goals aren’t to make you fail but to teach you to overcome your challenges. At the time it was very stressful, long days, short nights, and plenty of yelling and exercise lol, but looking back I have countless happy memories of my time there. It definitely feels like it takes forever, but the last few weeks when you realize how close you are to the finish line makes it feel like it has gone by so very fast. All in all, it’s a life changing experience that taught me a lot about myself and how much more I’m capable of than I previously thought, as well as the importance of communication and teamwork. If you’ve got any more questions, I’m happy to answer!
Great Information & Take care always. Godbless

I was born in Fort Wainwright because my father was in the Army and he was stationed there for about 8 years and we later moved to South Carolina in 2012.
Headed to Fort Jackson on the 13th. My MOS is 19D, hella excited but hella nervous. Been training but still don’t feel like I’m in great shape
Hey Ben so I’m still a freshman going into my sophomore year. But I’m really confused cause I’m trying to plan my career early but I’m still a little confused. I really want to go to the Army too. I really want to go for months after basic training then come back home to work in my community is that possible I can do that?
I am on the exact path you were on. Going to Fort Sill in Aug 1st then will be at Huston for 68W!
If only I could leave for basic already, corona messing me up. Future 68W here.
TheRedGriffin it’ll happen soon bro!

I’m enlisting after April I’ll be a senior in high school then. Hopefully the dental specialist job would be open . But question ...would I go to Fort Sam Houston for AIT ?

1 How long on average would you say MOS school is? 2 I was looking at the pay charts for reservists and it didnt look too convincing, how good is reservist pay in your opinion? Was 7 weeks into bootcamp at Paris island for communications, but got sent home for asthma😐now I wanna join the army lmao
Basic training and AIT at Fort Knox, July 1982.
ahh an old dog
My brother got a Athletic Scholarship to West Point and his last day of basic training is this Sunday. So we can expect him to go like AIT or OSUT... will he be sent to another location or stay at West Point?
When I'm done with basic training, do I still get to decide if it's a career for me?
Hello! Just a bit curious. Let’s say you’re a new recruit or you’re under BASIC TRAINING. Is there by any chance you could go training with the old members at the military? Or the ones that graduated already. Is there an instance that they go join train together?
No
Do ROTC students still have to do AIT or just Basic and then go home? I might have to do advanced camp after basic too
Was suppose to leave for Jackson June 29th but broke a finger so now I leave next Monday🤦🏻♂️ I’m excited been waiting over a year now sense I signed up
Ship date: July 6, 2021 to Fort Jackson South Carolina (Basic)
MOS: 91b with Airborne
AIT: Fort Lee, Virginia
Airborne Training: Fort Benning, Georgia
hey, we go to basic training together lol.
You said things are a little more lax when you move onto the next phase and location- what is the schedule usually like after you get there?
Heading to not a fort this July
I’m planning on joining the reserves, once I’m done hopefully, with the training, how long till I get to have my civilian again
You kinda have that mixed up a little OSUT like I went too is called One Station Unit Training but it does not start after basic its combined with the basic so we dont do AIT after etc so if its 16 weeks OSUT for tankers for example we are on tanks day 1 of basic training and are sent to a unit straight out of osut.
I’m thinking about joining the army but I’m really not sure.
August 16th ship to Fort Benning💪🏽 11B

Could you possibly share some information you know about 35L. I am also curious as to the timing, when you would get sworn in, is it before or after your AIT?

How was it ?

I am nervous for basic and nervous about the drill sergeants. What ur thoughts ?
Do you need a car while being in the military to get around? Or advice on where to leave my vehicle? I just finished paying mine off 🙂🙂🙌🏼
You don’t absolutely need one but it’s more convenient if you have it, and you would just park it in the barracks parking lot.
Nope. Some people don’t know how to drive who join because they take public transport all the time. The military will get a bus or have you rent a car or even public transportation. They’ve got a workaround for that.
@Jana Parma that’s a good information from you! 😉 thank you!!
Wait do they send u straight to war when u finish
could you explain the army ranger process
Heading to fort Leonard wood on 1/11/21

I am in fort Sill and going to fort Sam Huston after Basic but My some of my 68W battle buddies have different AIT start day why is it different and is that mean I wont go thru AIT with them?

I'm a 15-year-old girl who is very short and has no muscle at all getting ready for in 3 years to do the very beginning of army basic training lol
Push ups, sit-ups, air squats. When you build the strength (if you don’t have it already) add pull ups. Those will build a good foundation for other workouts. Good luck!
There will be a physical and mental examination first, then see if you enter or not. Good luck.
