No really that's what what the Navy and Marines do, I mean I guess I could Google it ...
Definitely not, I am not sure what the recruiter thought when they told me I am. However i know the DS will get me into shape forcibly.
You spoke to me to join after watching this I always wanted to join but kept holding back. And now I’ll be joining and talking to a recruiter this week. Thank you bro
hey man i am right now in the process of joining the Army but i am needing help with the asvabs
I really want to join but my girlfriend is preagent dk how to do with this situation
I'm incredibly nervous, but I know I'm the type of person to never quit. I will crush Basic and OSUT. I will come back a soldier.
How’d it go?
@@richardsipala5967 I'm a week a way from OSUT graduation. It was easy!!!!
@@seangalvin4148 hey can we get an update?
@@TheBigCheesez Hey dude, I'm with my unit now. Great stuff honestly. I would do it all over again just to experience it over againm
@@seangalvin4148 thanks for the update going to make my first steps soon
Never quit, step outside your comfort zone, prevail.
Man this is helping me so much mentally. Almost all my friends already enlisted in the Army or Marines and I wasnt sure if I wanted to follow them but after realizing college and other stuff isnt for me I'm gonna talk to a recruiter and study to get into the mos 19k. Tanks are my passion and I now see that nothing will be as appealing to me than being in a tank and working with them. Hopefully I can get my senior year of Highschool done with and ship out by years end once I get everything settled.
I Already went to MEPS and signed as a 42A with an option 40. I will be coming back as an Airborne Ranger !!
Did 4 years USMC from 07-11... COVID had me looking for work. Now I'm training to join the Army. Lost 40 lbs in 3 months and I am so ready to get back in the military
howd that go?
I waited to join; I’m 26 now. I wish I would’ve went at 18; I would’ve been retired in 10 years if never injured/got in trouble. Take this advice; if you’re really thinking about it, do it. Do your RESEARCH. That is more important than you joining. Make sure you’re positive and you’ll be positive.
I ship out June 1 and I’m terrified 😫😂
Wow that’s when I shipped out last year have fun it sucks
No reason to be terrified 👍 Try your best everyday and listen instead of talking. I survived in 1985 at Fort lost in the woods and still remember everything 35 years later. Life lessons that will serve you well throughout your future 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Me too, where at?
@@ryannork4196 fort Jackson
I went through basic in 2008 at Ft. Knox. Being scared and nervous are all normal. Just remember the reasons why you want to join and allow that to be your motivation and keep a good attitude. Good luck to you on your journey.
I ship out in 13 days and im crazy nervous, i wrestled in high school and one of my buddies who is at basic right now wrote me a letter and compared our wrestling coach to the drill sergeants so it should be a cake walk. I am just trying to stay positive before i ship out! This video also helped out a lot. 10 weeks out of ur life is nothing.

I’m 36 and am in the process of getting everything together to have my app submitted. 🤞🏻 I qualify. This is something I’ve always wanted but need it more then anything.
Unfortunately I didn’t qualify 🥺 but my husband did and leaves for basic on the 27th of April.
Was it the "maximum age of 35" that disqualified you?
The advice I’ve heard most is don’t take the things they scream at you too seriously. They’re trying to break you down to build you up, so there will be mind games.
Literally on the bus rn going to benning
Good luck!
I’m going to benning tomorrow
I’m going to benning in three days
Im so jealous I got one more year 🙏🏽😩
Always have a battle buddy ! Always
Facts!
"Battle Buddies" didn't exist during the time when I was in. (1982-85).
I’m shipping out to boot camp today I’m so nervous.
Best of luck! You got this!
Good luck

HALF RIGHT FACE FRONT LENNING REST POSITION MOVE!!!!!
BRO IM SO JEALOUS
Ship out this next monday with the option 40. Im ready for the challenge, i want to see what i got. Army strong boys💪
I'm 14 and am now thinking about joining the military had no thoughts about it till now but want to be as prepared as possible for when I start thanks for your help
Dame me too
Y’all don’t worry bout it just lift weights and do a lot of cardio.
From what I've heard, the First 100 Yards is like the shark attack but with a few extra steps. Instead of standing around, holding your duffel above your head, and getting screamed at, you're doing the new activities and if you're screwing up, you'll be getting screamed at. I hear its a lot about corrective training. And if you see that the drills aren't getting in people's faces a lot right now, its most likely because of social distancing. I'm not in the Army, I'm 18 and highly considering it, but this is just what I've picked up from various articles, interviews, and videos of the First 100 Yards in action.
"This is the right time" needed that!
I’m shipping in 12 days
I had to work during covid and didn’t get a chance to get in better shape.
But I’ll make these 12 days count.. I’m also 32 😅
Don’t worry they will start running you a little per day. Push-ups are key !!! Practice those because front lean and rest position has nothing to do with Resting😎
Which physical fitness test are we doing in basic? ACFT or APFT? Leaving tomorrow and just heard it is the APFT.
Same
Can’t wait to be a 13B. Thank you for this video!
Enlisted as a 13B too 🤞🏼 good luck bro
Still waiting on taking the ASVAB can’t wait to go to basic training 💪🏾 one day
Going to check out the rest of your videos. I’m super interested, and you give a lot of helpful information out. Appreciate you Ben!
I have Meps in 2 days, already took my asvab and got an 81.
Hey, I am planning on jojning the national guard taking the split training option. I am only in 9th grade right now tho, so i will hopefully be talking to a recruiter next school year. I am looking forward to it. Also, to any veterans who read this comment, rhank you for your service. Freedom isnt free, and I am very proud to live in a free country, so thank you again.
@Dylan JohnsonTrue, and thank you!
All ready to go just expecting the unexpected
Leaving next week Tuesday for fort Jackson 💯💯💯 go army
I struggled with being overweight my whole life but last year I dropped from 295 to 265, I finally made it through meps and im continuing to lose weight. I ship to basic in april and im a little worried about not being physically where I need to be but from what I heard, as long as I push myself and not give up, ill get there
I'm overweight but made it through meps too. Are you good at running? Only reason I'm asking, is because I honestly suck lol. Leaving in 2 weeks and I know for a fact that I'll be the slowest out there.
@@mynameskim616 i was not good at running but just recently I started doing 60, 120 second sprints which my recruiter told me to do...it makes a HUGE difference. I went from a 930 mile to a 657 mile. I know you need to run 2 miles in the army and most of the time even more then that but 1 year ago when I started my weight loss journey I was at a 14 min mile so I have a feeling it will be tough, but with the right state of mind its achievable...I think I was running so slow because I wasent able to catch my breath now its no problem
I ship to basic in April too! FLW bound
how did it go ?
Shipping out on October 12 🤘🏽 Excited but at the same time nervous. Thanks for easing my nerves your videos have helped so much 🤞🏽

Where’s your BCT?
@@scottycox1380 I'll find out after I get my waivers in place. Most likely Fort Benning though.
@@expiredwarranty8085 Good luck to you. I enlisted in the Army a week before turning 35 which at that point was the age cutoff. I would definitely advise against anybody joining the military at that age unless you come in as an officer, or you join the Air Force instead of the Army or you go national guard/reserve, or if you do join the Army on active duty you get a really good MOS (no, infantry or the like is not a good MOS).
It wasn't the physical aspect that makes me wish I had done what I recommend, but the mental aspect.
@@golfery5119 thank you so much for the advice! I am doing the national guard.

Thanks for the information. I’m About to turn 21 at the end of this month, l plan on joining this summer.
Nice!
I’m currently at fort benning in fbrc due to corona virus. I’m not gonna sugarcoat it, this place sucks it is hot humid and absolutely miserable most of the time but at the same time it is the best experience you will ever have your battle buddies will be your best friends and you will not only get physically stronger but mentally stronger as well. The drill sergeants are awful but if you keep your head down do what your told and never look them in the eye the will pretty much leave you alone just don’t ask any dumb questions. You will get smoked a shit Ton but it gets easier as you go
shipping out in 5 days. hopefully all goes well.
can you do a video on advice for rucking? you mentioned you were in an infantry unit so i believe you would have a lot of experience. im a 5'3 110lb dude so the advice would really help! keep up the grind!

For someone who's mostly fit with some bad habits and is mostly undisciplined; but could use some more development and looking to get squared away, and trying to straightened myself out; is it pointless to join the army or the navy at 29 almost 30 just tired of living a life working retail and I have a adaptable ego high team player iq, 6,2" 225lbs is this a bad move for me?
